Menu from FB page, dated May 2021

Been wanting to try their food after reading about how much they went through to be able to stay open in the Oakland area. If you're not familiar with them, they are a food truck that is parked on the left side of the Exxon gas station on Highway 64 just east of the 196 intersection. First time here. It was a blazing hot day around noon. They were kind of busy. I'm including a picture of their menu that they had posted on their FB page in May. Prices are the same for the most part. Tacos are now $2.50 each. I ordered some tacos-- 2 steak and 2 chicken-- and cheese dip with chips. Their tacos come on soft corn tortillas and have meat of your choice, onions, and cilantro. Each one gets a small cup of green salsa. Cheese dip comes in an 8 oz container. Chips are fresh made and are $1.00 extra. The best thing I got was the cheese dip. Great flavor. Not too mild, not too hot. The chips were fresh and crispy. The tacos were loaded with grilled meat. The steak on mine was cut so small, as a result, it cooked very quickly and by the time they pulled it, it was tough. The chicken was cut in larger pieces, but it too had been left on the grill too long. Both would have been much juicier if they had been pulled earlier. The meat itself did not have a lot of seasoning. The cilantro and onions did add some. The salsa they included with the tacos was excellent. It's one of those they should sell by the cup, if they don't already. Perfect seasoning, not very hot but so flavorful. It brought the dry tacos to life. The best part was the cheese dip and the friendly service. The worst was the wait. She told everybody it would be about 5 minutes, but in reality, it was 30. I'm a wimp, and standing in the blazing hot sun for that long wasn't pleasant. Maybe they could get an awning for the truck so people could get out of the sun while they waited. Or maybe they could prepare some of their items ahead of time to make their cooking times less. All in all, it was worth the money and we'll be back. For the amount of meat you get and that delicious salsa, the tacos are a great deal.

They're breakfast burritos are so good! Employees are very friendly as well. Can't wait to try their sopes next

BEST TORTAS EVER! I…read morerandomly stopped here on the way home from running an errand. I figured I'd buy just one taco and give it a shot but the moment I took that first, flavor-filled bit, I knew I was doomed to buy more. This truck is actually owned by the guy who used to have one by the same name on Summer (which I went and marked as closed now because he sold that truck). He has actually had this truck in this location for years. People usually order their tacos ahead of time or to go so he doesn't have a table though he does have a few bar stools. He says he plans to buy an awning and get a table soon. His son and wife help him run it. His son, who is currently about to go into fourth grade and who is cute as can be, helps run the register, and his wife cooks the food. And ahh she's an amazing cook. I do have to say they are also incredibly friendly. I actually ended up staying and talking with them for a bit rather than order and run. Only thing they didn't sell that surprised me was carnitas. They have most other expected types of meats available (and were totally telling me I gotta try lengua) except that one. That's ok though, as their taco al pastor is amazing I wouldn't want to order anything else. They put pina in theirs the way all my favorite places do. Also, surprisingly, I liked their chorizo taco (stole a bit from hubby's). I usually don't like chorizo but I love it here. Yum yum yummmm. Each taco costs $2 and each only comes with one tortilla (so you can eat even more). Also their salsa verde is amazing. It's thick and creamy adn so so sabroso- oops slipped into Spanish there, I mean it's so freaking yummy I'm slipping into my non-native tongue here. Their hours have changed and they are now open Wed-Sun! I submitted a new pic but don't be afraid to call and check. I got lucky that I ran my errand today and got to try them. Their item parrillada is so tasty but it's also so greasy that I wouldn't be able to eat much of it. The tortas here are the best I've ever had. The bread is top quality and they get it from a local bakery. Honestly no other tortas compare after I ate this one. All in all I am so glad I stopped by here. I love this place and I will definitely be back! Favs: - Arroz - Salsa Rojo - Salsa Verde - Taco al Pastor - Taco de Chorizo - Torta del Pastor Like: - Parrillada (greasy hubby disliked) - Quesadilla de Pollo Ok: - Chicken Taco - Horchata - Taco de Carne Asada - Quesadilla del Pastor (not enough meat) Dislike: - Agua de Melon

If i was dying, this would be my last meal. Service is…read moregreat, and food has never let me down in over a decade. I moved away, so I don't get to come here every week like I used. But I'm on my way now! It's delicious, and I swear one day I'll get the recipe for that green sauce.
