After spending the day at Willow Springs Raceway, it has always been a tradition to eat at Baracoa afterwards for the past couple of years now. We all love their dishes. The oxtail is raved about, service is always excellent, vibes are great esp on live music nights. This time around, we had a slightly larger party since there were more of us at the raceway this day and we were excited for our friends to finally try Baracoa. We've always had maybe 1 or 2 dogs with us and so we'd sit out on the patio. These dogs are quiet and obedient. They just lie under the table at your feet and are never restless & never beg/bark/whine. Since we had a larger party and now 3 dogs with us, maybe it drew more attention? Our waiter said that he will have to ask the boss if it's okay that we have dogs since usually it's policy to not have dogs on the premises. We were so confused since we've been coming here. The boss/owner/manager, I can't remember exactly his title, came outside and let us know that unfortunately, pets are not allowed, even on the patio. We were all taken aback with nothing to say except having dropped jaws as he was walking away. Before he completely left our sight, we asked when that became a policy since we have always been here with dogs. He said it's always been a rule and cannot speak for his employees and the decisions they make when he's not there. He goes on to state that the pets are unclean and that he has customers. In that moment, I thought, "What are we then? Have we never been customers?" With a firm tone, he asked us to cooperate. It would have been a different kind of feeling if this boss had said ANYTHING along the lines of, "We would love to have you back to dine with us, but please without your dogs." This interaction felt like major rejection, hate towards pets, and to just get out immediately. We had already ordered 3 cortado frios, which I always think is to-die-for here, and that will be our last sips from them. It was also way more sweet than strong this time, sadly. We will not be returning to this establishment.

Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed an unpleasant odor reminiscent of body odor. This was unexpected and quite off-putting. I trust that the management would want to ensure a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for all patrons, and I wanted to bring this matter to your attention. Furthermore, while the food was passable, it left much to be desired. The flavors seemed to be lacking depth and sophistication, giving the impression that canned sauces were used. Despite this, I wanted to give the establishment another chance. Unfortunately, during my subsequent visit, I found it difficult to even sit and enjoy my meal. Additionally, I must mention that the service was also subpar. There were no napkins available on the table, which made it rather inconvenient. Moreover, there was a lack of regular check-ins by the staff, which left me feeling unattended to and somewhat disappointed with the overall dining experience. I understand that providing excellent customer service and an enjoyable dining atmosphere are top priorities for any restaurant. Had some family members come by and I wanted to treat them for breakfast. Found this Mexican Restaurant. We tried the Menudo, which was amazing. So happy they have it weekdays also. My grandma is so picky, and she loved the chile relleno plate. We had to try tacos and wet burritos. Everything was really good. The lady taking our order was courteous and asked several questions to make sure our food was to our liking. (I don't like sour cream on my burrito) The environment was enjoyable since their music was not playing full blast as in other restaurants. And I thought it was so nice how they also have popcorn and Mexican candy. My little nephew really liked that We will definitely be back soon read more

I haven't not tired the restaurant, but used them for the taco catering. So easy to work with, they arrived a half hour before the time set for serving and set up everything and then cleaned up everything after. Now the tacos, we got four types and all of them were amazing. Such great flavors!!! We ordered Horchata for agua fresca and I can honestly say it was the best I have had in this valley. El Mora will be a go to place for whenever I need a taco catering. I can't wait to go to the restaurant to try more of their food. read more

If you want to know where good food is, I would follow wherever the local fire station eats at. Today was the first time eating at El Mora on the fire engine, but I guarantee it will not be the last. I had the Chilaquiles plate and it was incredible. Some of my coworkers got the chorizo con huevos burrito also and were very happy with their meal. Their service was excellent also, and very friendly. I'm looking forward to returning for more food. read more

Wow! We are visiting the area from Tennessee and so glad we came across El Mora! The Chile relleno was so good. And best of all the owner came and chatted with us and shared how her and her husband opened three years ago. A nice success story and so pleased for them and the greater community.
