Went with my parents and let's just say the food was amazing. The hand made tortillas are a must here! The lady was very nice and helpful.

Delicious food!! Cash only. Old lady very nice and helpful. Tortillas made by hand. I had Mole con pollo,, super delicious and big pieces of chicken. I recommend.

    Tamale de Mole

Do NOT get the tamale de Mole it doesn't taste right and I've had my hand full of mole tamales at other oaxacan restaurants before. The Mole itself tastes bitter and not sweet like it's supposed to. The Nopal Zapoteco has no flavor. The only thing that was alright was the clayuda, the salsa verde, the alambre, the chilaquiles and that's about it. The agua de horchata was pretty good too.

Grasshopper. If you're scared, roll them in a burrito.

Authentic Oaxaca food cooked by 77yo grandma little old lady. She doesn't speak English but the menu has English. Try the Oaxacan cheese. And the oaxacan tortilla. It's handmade and bigger than the usual.

To be honest I had high expectations and I love Oaxacaen food but man was not good, just like the other 1 star I have to agree casa Oaxaca is 100 percent better then here. They have one elder lady who is doing the whole restaurant. Unfortunately it's a mess tables left dirty, they did as well mess up the orders. Now I tried the mole negro and loved it and thought to myself this place will be good, I got the burrito with mole coloradito and as I was eating it they had chicken bones and cartilage in it. That instantly turned me off from the food, I don't know there health and sanitation but if that is acceptable to them I will never be back. Sorry but I highly do not recommend coming here unless you want some washed up food.

This hole in the wall spot has authentic Oaxacan Food. Large portions for your buck. They also sell Mole tamales which is a plus!

I'm telling you where, so you can find it and go if you're looking for a delicious Mexican restaurant. Santa Ana has plenty of authentic Mexican fast service dining places and food trucks that are pretty tasty, but when you are looking for something along the lines of a not-too-pricey restaurant with respectable cocktails and a Mexican food menu that delivers variety, quality, taste, along with a nice, clean, well-decorated establishment with excellent customer service, this is it. I'm an enchilada person, I look high and low for the next best thing to a homemade enchilada -- Casa Ramos doesn't disappoint. The crunchy beef tacos are also a favorite of mine. Someone once said, "You can really tell by the chips and salsa if a Mexican restaurant is going to be good or not." Their chips and salsa are so good, you have to stop yourself from filling up on them before your food comes out. The portions are sufficient. Most times, I need to box my leftovers up. Try this place, and let me know if you disagree.

The cheeseburger was a great deal - kids loved it. Actually pretty decent for the price point. I think server messed up my order (i was supposed to get a trio of different meat tacos but got asada only). The carne asada however is not a meat to get. Too dry.

I used to LOVE coming to this place... until I realized their customer service seriously sucked…read more First off, the food is honestly a little on the salty side, but I kept coming back because I liked the place. Then this happened. I brought my family here for dinner, and when we were closing out the check, the server failed to mention that gratuity was automatically added for a party of 6. I didn't realize it until I was about to sign and saw that I was about to leave ANOTHER tip on top of the automatic gratuity. I was like, oh HELL NO, I'm not tipping $80+ So I asked the server to refund the entire transaction and rerun the payment correctly. She told me she couldn't do that, but said she could refund the extra tip instead. I said okay, trusting that she knew what she was doing. We left. Fast forward about 4-6 months later. I come back with different family members, and the MANAGER comes over and tells me I have an outstanding balance of around $150. At first I genuinely thought he was joking. Nope. Apparently, when the server was supposed to refund the extra tip, she accidentally refunded the ENTIRE BILL and kept the tip. ‍ Now explain to me HOW that was my problem?! I specifically told her I wanted the entire transaction refunded so we could start over, and SHE chose to handle it differently. That was THEIR mistake, not mine. And the worst part? Instead of pulling me aside privately and explaining what happened, the manager brought this up IN FRONT OF THE FAMILY I WAS WITH. So now I'm sitting there being told I owe $150+ in front of my guests because of an error THEIR employee made months earlier. Talk about embarrassing. Thank God I'm in a position where I could afford to pay it, so I paid the outstanding amount AND my new bill that day -- over $300 out of pocket -- just to resolve the whole situation. I paid everything they said I owed for both visits, and I have never gone back since. And I WILL NEVER go back. Between the salty-ass food and the customer service, I'll take my money somewhere else. Just sharing my TRUE experience because I think customers deserve to know what happened.

Service was good, fast & friendly. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable, and the prices are fair for what you get. I can see why people like it, but for me, it was more of a "good if you're nearby and hungry" kind of spot rather than a place I'd go out of my way for.
