Great buffet-style breakfast place that opens bright and early at 7am! Because it is buffet-style with assisted serving, they do require masks. If you don't have one, they'll provide one for you at the door as you check in. Dress code is dry casual - I was able to walk in with a tank top and shorts over my bikini. My favorites here included: - the fruits bar: papayas, figs, pineapple, berries, watermelon, cantaloupe, and some other fruits I didn't know what they were! - smoothie bar: all the fruits, almond milk, toppings of your desires! - juice bar: I found my new favorite juice - verde juice! The juices here are freshly squeezed - try out their orange juice! - omelet bar: make your own omelet! I had ham, green pepper, diced tomato, mushrooms, diced onion! - tacos, quesadillas - eggplant stuffed with egg, bell pepper stuffed with lentils - pastries: concha! Had to get one in Mexico! - yogurt bar: They have the typical Yoplait yogurts, Greek yogurt, even Yakult drinks! Get your probiotics on!

All you can eat!! This was the buffet part at Hyatt Ziva. They normally do this very well. Massive, super busy, so many choices. I love their Mercado at Hyatt Ziva in puerto Vallarta way better. The omelet stations here are a mess. Juice table was good. The Mexican breakfast area was barely there. They had some Asian dishes too but doesn't seem desirable. The bread shop was ok with a lot of cold cuts and cheeses being out. It is a much higher volume and much bigger spot. It's messy, gets dirty very fast as soon as they open. And staff can't seems to keep up with it all. I had about 4 different people helped me during my meal. One was supposed to bring coffee and a drink but she never made it back. The bus boy was nice though. Got me their epic habanero sauce: it's like dark, in oil, burn your face off spicy yet so flavorful! I can drink it all day! So hot! For the food: they did best was classic Mexican dishes. Pozole was amazing! Everything else was a ok. But it's a buffet. Just get a table outside and go for anything once you get inside!

Hyatt Ziva Hotel in Cancun

If we could post 0 stars, we would. My husband and I wanted buffet for lunch, we searched on Yelp, this restaurant was on the list, which is located inside of Hyatt Ziva Hotel in Cancun. After we arrived at Hotel entrance, we were told by a guy named Daniel who claimed he was the manager and said Buffet does not open to public, only opened for All inclusive hotel guests. We told him we are Hyatt Gold member and just looking for good buffet foods and will pay for our lunch, but he said " no" We requested to speak with his Superior, who came and said " No Day Pass for sale, it's Not Possible for us having buffet there!" We were not interested in Day Pass, we just wanted variety of buffet foods! The worst thing was this "El Mercado" Restaurant DID Not specify " Buffet Does Not Open to Public " on Yelp, which was misleading to general Public. Otherwise, we would not be here. I don't think this Hotel is part of Hyatt, bcz Hyatt is a big and reputable Hotel Chains, it would not have such poor service. Plus, this Hotel Logo don't look the same; may be they stole the name of " Hyatt" and added " Ziva" next to it in Cancun. What we experienced today was not just a total disappointment for us, and was for World of Hyatt as well.

El Mercado is located at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun offering it's guest the buffet style of dining. Now in general I'm not huge on buffets just because the idea that all these people are picking through and breathing on the food bothers me but also too I don't eat enough to ever want to pay a buffet price tag. What changes in this scenario is that this place is apart of an all inclusive type of resort so why not go? One morning my friend and decided to hit the breakfast buffet after working out and it was great timing because I'm assuming we beat the crowd. With the option to choose dining in or outside we went with outdoors. Are server was okay although he was somewhat forgetful and perhaps just didn't listen. Bringing the wrong juices twice and the wrong hot sauces lol. The food itself is nothing to write home about but I will commend the omelet station guy for his fast service! Granting my egg whites only request and spicing up a great omelet! The mimosas we ordered were watered down and after the so so breakfast experience we didn't return.

Convenient buffet style place, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Spacious and noise inside.

Great Buffet staff is quite nice the bad part is whenever you order they can barely hear you but that's not on them overall great restaurant at a great hotel's

The smoothies were terrible. Don't bother. Orange juice tastes like it's fresh squeezed. That was a nice surprise. I did go for a quick bite at dinner time one night. The station had lots of topping choices and there were 2 going at the same time, so no waiting in line. I usually only eat turkey bacon at home, so the real bacon here was a real treat to me! And who doesn't love eating FRESH SMOKED SALMON with breakfast - what a treat! I also had a cantaloupe and pineapple plate and the fruit was so perfectly ripe, it was almost hard to pickup with a fork! My fiancé had the french toast after we heard another couple talking about it at check-in last night ... it truly didn't disappoint! You could see the granules of sugar on top mmmmhmmm! He also made his own chilaquiles ... look at that pickled onion on top - amazing! He also had this really delish candied pear that had a plop of whipped cream on top, as well as other fruits. It was the perfect level of sweet and tart mix. Of course don't forget to order your mimosas and bloody mary's to go along with your epic breakfast!

I will say 3.5 stars and not as luxurious and exclusive as the hotels we are used to going (Great parnassus (Seadust), Grand Sirenis, Villa palmar, Garza Blanca, Serenade(Punta Cana). Rooms are ok, food selection limited. There is no entetrainment and the lobby for night gathering is very small and most of the time, the bar couldn't keep up. If there's one thing, it would be the beach as they have the best beachfront and calm water of all the resorts we have been to. Where it went south for us is when we attended the the presentation by the mexican Elvis - Carlos David Ruiz, and was offered the Eskape by Krystal which in one word is just based on a big lie to get you to buy. To summarize, the membership will give you access to the eskape by krystal platform where you can get exclusive deals and promises the following: 1. They will hand out flyers showing 5 star hotels such as Hard Rock, Nickelodeon, Marriott, Hilton, Disney, etc.. offering a 1 wk stay for members, any room type any time at $499.00 or less, guaranteed! 2. A $1500 annual credit that you can use for ANY BOOKING - hotels, trips, vacations, airfare, cruises.. 3. Gives you cruise certificates for two that you can use by activating the certificate for $99.00 ALL IN! These are all LIES. First you won't have access to the site until they process your application. Total contract price is $4,000.00. So we paid a downpayment of $1925.00 on site ($1475 d/p and $450 for cost of contract), then another $500 after a week or 2 for the platform and the remaining $1575.00 paid monthly for 1 yr. Basically by the time you get to review the platform, you would have been back to your home country and already would have paid the minimum $2425.00. Once you are in, here's where the lies get uncovered: 1. The $499 will not be for all the hotels in the platform. The hotels they have on the fliers are not even affiliated with krystal. There are select $499 hotels but these are the 1-2 star hotels / motels in places where nobody even goes for a vacation. You will find better deals on tripadvisor, booking.com, hotels.com and other free sites. 2. The annual credit can only be applied on bookings pre-selected by the platform. You do not have a choice! It's mostly available for redemption on hotels that are inflated 2-3x more than how much it would cost on the site or external sites! 3. The cruise certificate is yet another scam! You will have to pay $99.00 to activate your certificate. What this gives you is the ability to access another platform to see what discounted cruises you can avail of if you want to go on one! So they basically sell you another platform! I have been back and forth with Ivan Flores about how their sales associates blatantly lie on their presentation but they will have a boxed answer for everything insisting the fine prints and that they don'e honor the fliers or any other verbal promises. This is how they run their business. No business ethics whatsoever. I don't expect to see that money be refunded but we have stopped future payments and disputing the charges with our card company. Additionally, we have submitted a formal complaint with PROFECO. If I can save 1 or 2 people from buying this package, then I would have done my job. lessons learned, if it's too good to be true, it probably is STAY AWAY! 2 Stars (could have been better if the people presenting these packages were a tad honest)

The hotel is centrally located in the heart of the hotel district, within walking distance to bars, shopping centers, and restaurants. It was especially convenient to walk to the nearby grocery store to pick up snacks, dinner, and bottled water. One thing to note is that the hotel's closeness to the nightlife can make it a bit noisy in the evenings. If you are sensitive to noise, consider requesting a room in a quieter section of the hotel. Additionally, if you arrive in the morning, the hotel will allow you to check in, but room keys are not distributed until 3 PM. This can lead to a crowded lobby around that time. To make the most of our time, my partner and I checked our luggage, explored the area, and relaxed by the pool while waiting. Overall, this is a great destination for a vacation, and the area feels very safe. The pool area is lovely with relaxing lounge music, and the beach is stunning: clean, beautiful, and well-maintained. We would consider staying at another Krystal resort in the future.

We had been walking in the area earlier that day and made a plan to come back for dinner. When we arrived there were a lot of people but we were seated immediately. People were enjoying themselves and the wait staff was friendly and talkative. I ordered shrimp fajitas and my husband ordered the mole. He always orders mole. The meals were very good. We ordered a mango margarita and Tecate. The margarita came with a tehine rim. I just wiped it off. That is becoming so popular. I decided to indulge in the banana dessert and I am glad I did. It came with a show. That was fun and the dessert was delicious. We were there earlier in the evening and we saw many couples and families. I'm sure the place gets a little more livelier as the night goes on. If you are in the area, this is a good place to eat and enjoy your time in Cancun.

Once we stepped onto the deck overlooking the lagoon, the whole experience elevated even further. The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any more whimsical, out came the towering blue cotton candy, playful, over-the-top, and impossible not to smile at. Harry's doesn't just serve dinner. It creates an experience, one where the service, the scenery, the atmosphere, and the food all work together to make you feel celebrated. Our night felt luxurious, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable for my husband's 50th birthday! Well done Harry's!
