My wife and I have eaten here many times, and it has always been a pleasant experience. She enjoys the food and drinks, while I've found the hamburgers to be surprisingly high-quality for a Mexican restaurant. The service is always quick and attentive, and there's plenty of seating and parking available.

Dry-ass Chicken enchiladas with "ranchero" sauce, frozen bagged rice and liquid beans - yum.

This food doesn't even deserve 1 star, I could have made chicken enchiladas better myself. The rice came out of bag - looks like something in the frozen section. The chicken enchiladas had 0 sauce even though I ordered ranchero, and the beans were in a weird liquid.

First time here and was impressed. Enjoyed the chips and salsa. Chips were not super fresh but not stale. Good tasting salsa - personally I love cilantro so a little more in the salsa would have been great. I orders the taco combination - it was great as I can never decide what kind of taco I want. I got one fish taco, a ground beef taco and a carne asada taco. Each one was delicious! Hubby ordered Pollo Ranchero. I am not a dark meat chicken fan but even I had to admit the spicy flavor and grill on the chicken was superb! We will be back and explore the menu further.

Mango margarita on the rocks. Totally delish.

We totally love Mexican food. This place was awesome. We are very picky with Mexican and this is number one place.

Started out praying that we wouldn't have to sit next the small child in line with us watching TV on her parents smart phone at a volume everyone in the lobby could hear. #bad-parenting. Thankfully the host saved the day! We were given a great booth nowhere near that kid. This food was AMAZINGLY FRESH! Waitress was on point and made great recommendations, provided fast service and anticipated needs. Service and food will make this a success, so you better get a table here before the masses find this place! We will be back!!!

I would definitely say this restaurant makes authentic Mexican cuisine just like my Godfather did! The rice and beans were exactly as I recall. The taco was crunchy, not greasy and the meat was flavorful as well. The green sauce enchilada had some spice but not too much for this gringo. We went to the Novi restaurant. It was cutely decorated. I really loved the taco figurine in the fish tank! We visited for a long while and we were never rushed out by the staff or felt we were needing to hurry. There are standard American favorites available like Mac n cheese and burgers for those that may not want any spice. Worth the visit.

We arrived with our party of 4, the restaurant was maybe 1/4 capacity. We were greeted by a young host that told us it would be 1/2 hour before we could be seated because the kitchen was backed up and they were short staffed. We were a little frustrated that they couldn't at least seat us and bring us drinks. We suggested this and he reluctantly seated us. Once we were served, the food was good.

Nice spot to try out authentic Mexican food. Even when ordering basic crunchy tacos, it included diverse sides and dips to explore with.

From the doubled up corn tortillas, to the tender well cooked meat, cilantro and their wonderful sautéed onions these Street style Taco's are as authentic as anything you would get in Mexico. The gratis house chips and Salsa were equally tasty and a nice complement to the Taco's all being washed down with a sugar cane based Mexican coke. The total bill came in at a very reasonable cost of $12 which is a great value in today's economy and a great deal by any standard. Relative to staff and facility, this appears to be a small family run business where the restaurant itself is located in a small strip mall at the corner of Franklin and Square Lake Rd with an equally small footprint for the restaurant. This is a very unpretentious business (think hole in a wall but in a nice way) with a limited number of dining tables and small staff. Having said that, I had no problem in getting seated and getting my order taken and food brought out in fairly quick order! I have been on a kick for a while now trying to find the best taco joint in the the northern Oakland county area and have to say this is as good as I have come across up to now and am a big fan of this business. If you are into well made authentic Mexican street taco's than this is a must visit for you. This was my first visit here and definately will not be my last where I will be combining this dining venue with my regular Bloomfield Hills Costco trips which is a Quarter mile from the restaurant.

We seated ourselves and were greeted by a server. They had music playing in Spanish, which I loved. They brought out homemade chips and salsa that was absolutely delicious. The rice was cooked to perfection, the beans were seasoned well and topped with cheese, all the toppings were cut up in a way to eat them easily. Overall, everything was fresh and tasty. It's our new favorite Mexican food spot. We can't wait to go back!

I got the chicken tacos and 8oz side of rice and beans. Their menu read confusing, as they didn't have prices on the different meats, and tacos ranged from $2.99-$3.99 so I wasn't even sure how much my tacos would come to. I also thought it was 8oz combined of rice & beans for like $2.99 but I believe it rang up as individual 8oz containers. My total for the plate (3 tacos) & sides came to ~$16 without a tip or drink. The chicken tacos were SO bland. I tried adding more lime, the grilled onions, radishes, both the red and green salsas, and even rice and beans but nothing could rescue the flat flavor of nothingness every time I bit into my tacos. My red salsa that came with my plate was genuinely lame, it had hints of Tabasco sauce? Like they were trying to make it so spicy without any actual depth or flavor. I expected more from this place. I did try my friends steak from his taco and it was a bit more flavorful, so perhaps I got the wrong meat. Their employees were very nice and service wasn't too long, restaurant clean but limited seating! I would only return here to try the California burrito. I can find similar prices and great quality elsewhere.

So, I decided to drive all the way out here because I have learned that trying to satisfy a craving with something different than what I really want doesn't work. It was an odd time -- about 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon -- when I arrived. The place is small, but it is very cheerfully decorated. The server was very friendly and helpful. He brought a basket of homemade chips and salsa as I sat down. After looking at all the options, I decided to be boring and I got the taco salad. It was very good, but as I was eating, I remembered seeing fried ice cream on their menu. I asked if they had it & he said absolutely. So, I stopped eating my entree & took it (and the chips) home and had the fried ice cream. It was SOOO worth it. they really did lightly batter the ice cream and fry it. (Unlike many place that don't actually do that.) It was served in a slightly sweet, lightly cinnamoned tortilla and topped with some chocolate sauce, whipped cream and maraschino cherries. If I lived closer & it hadn't been so hot outside, I may have ordered another one to take home!
