Yeah! Another delicious Mexican Fiesta! We spotted this newer location on Wixom road, and I am happy to report it is just as delicious as the original Dearborn Heights location. We were able to visit during the week (around the holidays) and took advantage of their Friday lunch specials. We ordered the beef and cheese enchiladas and the small nacho. Delicious as ever! We started with raspberry frozen margaritas (good) and of course the complimentary hot chips and salsa. YUM. This location is bright and fresh. There is a big counter to order and pick up carryout and an open kitchen. We were sat and served by a sweet and friendly waitress. You can tell all of the employees treat each other like family, very similar vibe to the original location - it's a really good vibe, and you know you are in good hands. Enjoy! read more

This place is literally around the corner and we get carry out often. This time I took a friend out for a late lunch. We had chips and two types of salsa - hot and mild - on the table immediately. Service was extremely fast and friendly. My friend got the flautas and I got the small combo plate. The decor is pretty standard for a Mexican restaurant, but the booth was comfortable and the service is top notch. read more

Unfortunately this Mexican spot was a miss for me. The service was great, however the food was not. I wasn't a fan of the tacos even though they were stuffed well. I had steak and shrimp and I did like the shrimp better than the steak. But still, wasn't my favorite. I wasn't a fan of the salsa either. The rice was my least favorite. Stopped in for carry out for our first visit at this place that had a Mexican vibe. I had the Beef Botana and my wife had a Beef Nacho. Service and preparation were quick. I had not had Nachos or Botana with green olives on them before. Both had a nice amount of cheese but the beef was a little bland, was not able to taste any chorizo or spicy news in the Botana so we were not super impressed. The salsa was good. I've dined with this restaurant chain since 2002 (Dearborn Heights). I've also been to Canton a few times. This location is stellar. The food is amazing like the other locations. The customer service is the best. Our waitress was a step above the rest. This is my new favorite location. Keep doing what you're doing Wixom location. I'll see you soon. read more

A fresh, festive, casual Mexican spot for a no frills dining experience. The menu features a broad selection without forgoing mainstays. The chips and taco shells were overcooked, but I'm chalking that up to dining 30 minutes before close on a Sunday. The salsa is flavorful with your choice of mild or spicy. The super tostada was packed with fun toppings that made for an exciting textural experience. Crunchy, creamy, chewy and zippy, this dish is hard not to like; it puts the "super" in super tostada. Mexican Fiesta rice and beans form the supporting cast at all their locations- the rice has pep, and the beans are creamy- no distractions. The cheese and bean tacos were heavy on the beans. We would've preferred more cheese for a more stuffed and balanced experience. Still, this is a strong vegetarian option. Sure, you can get vegetable fajitas, but this doesn't satiate like hardy bean and cheese tacos. My iced tea was strong like it came from the bottom of the well, however it probably was given the time of night. The fountain Coke Zero was at the level in carbonation to syrup ratio. Service was fast and friendly. Not overly friendly, but friendly- professional, if you will. If it was possible to rate this spot 3.5 stars, it's what I'd do. Cheers! read more

Good food, but prices continue to go up. They now charge you extra if you use a credit card but don't tell you. Staff is always mediocre if not borderline rude, to both my wife and I, on separate occasions. Not what I'd expect from a restaurant in the local area. No longer can support given increased prices and now charging extra for using a credit card... I've never seen a real restaurant do that. read more

We love Mexican Fiesta and although we no longer live in MI, we make sure to visit everytime we are in town. The food never disappoints and the service is exceptional. My favorite Mexican place. I've been traveling to the location in Hartland and was thrilled when the wixom location opened. This location is smaller and more of an express location, but the food still slaps and has the same amazing service. The owner, Gloria, has to be one of the sweetest people I've ever met. This place has gone down the drain. The food used to be so flavorful and delicious. We placed a carry out order and got home and the food was bland and flavorless. When I called and asked for a refund or a credit, I was told by the manager Nancy, "what do you want us to about it" and hung up the phone. MENUDO!!! - And why it's a good indicator of a great Mexican restaurant, even if you don't order it! Many people have been excited about this location opening. I can now join the enthusiasm from my first visit. Upon entering, the service was swift and attentive, but well paced and always kept an eye on anything I might need ahead of time without being bothersome. I do not review run-of-the-mill Tex/Mex restaurants because it 's a waste of time. However, if there is at least one or two authentic items on the menu (e.g. menudo, lengua, cabeza, buche, etc., it will merit my attention. Mexican Fiesta has menudo so they hit my radar checklist. While I've had menudo thousands of times, my first experience was at their Dearborn location many moons ago. Their version is a bit more gamey than some, but absolutely delicious! Menudo is comfort food, usually served with a side of limes, onions, cilantro, oregano and hot peppers. You can mix these to your preference and the exact sides depend upon the restaurant. When the menudo arrived, it was spectacular and loaded with tripe and other goodies. This was a very filling and delicious dinner served with steamed corn tortillas to sop up the mouthwatering soup! Conclusion: I will definitely come back here for enchiladas, burritos, tacos, etc, as most others: However, since the they passed the menudo test, it is highly unlikely that I will be disappointed in their more mainstream offerings. This is the cascade effect I've experienced with all good Mexican restaurants based upon more traditional offerings. read more

So happy they opened a location in the Wixom area! We ordered online for pickup and the order was 100% correct. I love a taco salad and theirs is so good and very generous serving! We also enjoyed the Fajita Trio, and Combo Plate that came with 2 beef tacos, cheese enchilada, bean & cheese tostada and a pork tamale-all very delicious. And of course had to sample sides of queso, guacamole and chips & salsa which were all top notch. Definitely will be ordering frequently as our new favorite local Mexican restaurant. read more

I've been holding off reviewing because I didn't want anyone to know it was here! I was ecstatic when they opened near me. I grew up near the OG Mexican fiesta on Ford Road in Dearborn and spent much time there with family and friends. When I moved to canton U started frequenting their second store but nothing compared to the OG. Now that I'm living in commerce I'm thrilled to have another one close by! It's still not as amazing as the OG (most things aren't) but it comes pretty close! The only recommendation I'd give is to cut the chicken in their fajitas smaller - they are rather large chunks and hard to fit in the tortillas. But the taste is delicious and fresh! Also if you are in the mood for true sopapillas, you gotta try theirs! Love them!!! read more

First of all, we love Mexican food, so when I learned that there was a New Mexican Restaurant was opening, literally within walking distance from our home, I was thrilled! When I learned that they served beer and liquor, they won my heart! We went for an early dinner just a few days after their grand opening. I seriously have not seen so many people at one time in this building (it's gone through many changes since we moved here about 8 years ago), this is a great sign and I absolutely hope that it continues! We all ordered drinks. Beer, frozen strawberry margarita, and a michelada. My husband had chicken quesadillas, my mom had a taco salad, and I had 2 chicken and cheese tacos. Thumbs up on all three orders! Plenty of leftovers on the quesadillas and taco salad. Waitstaff was friendly, and working very hard. I have now had 3 takeout orders, all with chicken as the main ingredient. I was hoping for the chicken to be shredded white meat, but not to be. All were with, low quality dark meat. And needless to say, cannot find shredded beef to choose from also. Going back will be hard to do. read more
