We had a nice meal with our son and his GF on our July visit to PA. We came into this fun and…read morebrightly decorated cantina after six pm We completely missed the happy hour I had planned to explore by coming in on the Sunday after the 4th. Seems my red sangria ($11, tasty but not worth a second one) wasn't on special anyway regardless of day, and son ordered a Pink Pony Club cocktail $13 which was really fun. We dove straight into entrees, son ordering the non-traditional cheese steak quesadilla and absolutely raving about it. Not bad for a kid who was an insanely picky eater as a child! His girlfriend chose the pork carnitas, with 3 corn tortillas underneath it made succulent tacos. Husband had the enchiladas de pollo, a nice plate of chicken tinga and corn tortillas with crumbled cheese over red sauce. Interesting none of these dishes include a side but the individual prices are around $15. I had the 3 blackened mahi tacos, and found them to be really dry. I asked for some salsa. Waiter brought out a fabulous roasted salsa that I literally wanted to drink what was left after I put it on my tacos. Bravo! Only bad thing was the $1.75 up charge we found on the bill for the morita salsa was not mentioned before it was delivered to our table. I let it go because the salsa was so excellent. It was not a bad meal, but $97. And because it was more than $50 they added a 20% gratuity automatically. It is at least highlighted on the bill so you don't pay it twice. Service was fast and efficient. We had paid for an hour and a half of parking and needed only 45 minutes, not a busy place on a Sunday night in 100° so service and kitchen were speedy. I look forward to coming back on our next visit to Manayunk and trying the happy hour!

First off, I thought I had already rated Macho's Delish Mix!!!…read more This is My FAVORITE PLACE!!! This is the place I go to when I say I am hungry and I want to eat out. This is thee only place I think of. They serve burritos, tacos, salads, smoothies and sides like empanadas, chicken salad, seafood salads, fruits salads and such. They have been on Cobbs Creek for about 3 years, I absolutely love them. They name some of their items after famous Philly people, like for instance the Iverson or Chamberlain. Macho's was the first place I had purple rice and I've never looked back. Their prices are reasonable as well, I usually spend about $22 for a meal which I usually last me about 2-3 meals. The establishment is very nice, clean, always bright, they have a cute color filled wall for pics possibly with their name in the center. They also have outdoor seating, which I used once for an organization event in the summer. They also offer limited seating inside. This establishment is black owned and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. When promoting an event or services they have a small wall the community can use and they are always welcome to adding new things to it. As I mentioned, my organization held a special gathering outdoors and they were extremely accommodating, even down to holding the refreshing smoothies inside to keep them cool on that warm summer day. I'll share more pics for sure but this review is long over due. There are many places and lots a great food in Philly, but if we want to live long and healthy lives we cannot indulge all the time. Macho's Delish Mix is not a place to avoid if you're on a health journey, it's a place you go towards. The food is made to order and always fresh and the healthy options are endless. Let's keep their doors open!!! Go!!! Patronage, you won't be disappointed!!!'

On the day of my visit, I wasn't far from the restaurant and wanted something different so I decided to give the place a try and I'm so glad that I did! I placed my order online and an estimated prep time was provided. When I made it to the restaurant, the food was ready to be picked up. I ordered a West Philly Caesar and a chicken empanada... the presentation of the food was great and it tasted great also! Fresh ingredients, generous portion sizes and good prices... I will definitely recommend and will certainly return!

I absolutely LOVE this place! I've ordered takeout from here twice in a span of about 30 days and…read morethe service and quality of the food were spot on both times!!! The first time I walked into the restaurant to order takeout - I ordered fish tacos and loaded nachos with chicken... The cashier was pleasant and helpful... I paid for my food then sat and waited for what seemed like 5 mins, I think, but definitely not more than 10 minutes... When I opened my food and hubby opened his, we were pleased with the presentation AND the taste matched! I didn't try his fish tacos but he did comment on how good they were (and he ordered them on our second visit); my loaded nachos were amazing and what I loved most is that while there are a lot of fixings on the nachos, they did not get soggy - it was the perfect amount of fixings and the flavor was perfection! And my appetite was satiated after...The chicken was thinly sliced but not too thin, all of the ingredients married together for an excellent fiesta of goodness! I was highly satisfied. The second time that I ordered from here hubby ordered fish tacos (again) and I had chicken tacos and a side order of tortilla chips and salsa. Everything tasted fresh and delicious again! This may be my new fave "go to" when I'm undecided on what to eat. I can't speak to dining in as both times I had take out however, from what I experienced when I did walk in, the atmosphere was upbeat and relaxed and the restaurant appeared clean from what I saw.

El Limon has 15 restaurants around the Philly suburbs - I've eaten at ms y of them and food was consistently tasted great at all of them. I ordered the chips with pico and guacamole . Fresh and chilled with crispy home fried tortillas. Generous portions I normally ordered the tacos but this time I wanted comforting hot and spicy. The soup was perfectly spiced - fresh Avacado shredded chicken and crunchy tortilla strips. Authentic, fast service. Yummy!

As i was waiting for my take out food, I was observing what the customers are eating. For $10 you get three pupusa's - I chose pork and cheese, but you can get just cheese or you can get cheese and beans. The pupusa's come with some cabbage coleslaw and a vinaigrette dressing that adds a little tang to your pupusa's. I will definitely be back to get a platter although they look huge and I'd probably take me two days to eat it come with an appetite here everything looks fresh and home-cooked.. yes, they have tacos, but you really want to get on Ecuadorian or Salvadoran food.

Service was also pretty hard to get as we stood there for at least 10 minutes before being greeted and the food took a while but maybe they were just busy so I'll give some grace. This is hands down my absolute favorite takeout/delivery spot in Manayunk/Rox. I mostly order…read moredelivery but I've popped by a few times in person to take food to go. It's a fast casual type place, and they also have Mexican food (which is pretty meh, but this review isn't about that). Everything I've ever had from here has been top notch, and I sure have had quite the variety! My typical go-to order is the pork belly in a pita with fries, but I've also had other variations. And I've also had the platters as well. I've loved all of them but the pork belly is definitely my favorite! The sauces are delicious, but my 2 faves are the spicy tzatziki and fresko sauce. Will usually get one of those 2 on my dishes. The dolmades are very yummy as well (usually get them as a side on my platter or will do a stand-alone order if I get a pita). I am OBSESSED with the spanakopita, I cannot get an order from here without that. I love dipping it in whatever sauce I have as well. I frequently do the dip trio for some variety also. Both the desserts (loukoumades and baklava) are delicious - they're not overly sweet which is perfect for me because I'm not into super sweet desserts. What I love most about this spot is that it feels indulgent but still fresh and on the healthier side, so you don't feel like you got hit by a truck as if you just stuffed your face with a massive burger or something. Def will continue getting food from here as long as they are in existence lol
