This is hands down my absolute favorite takeout/delivery spot in Manayunk/Rox. I mostly order delivery but I've popped by a few times in person to take food to go. It's a fast casual type place, and they also have Mexican food (which is pretty meh, but this review isn't about that). Everything I've ever had from here has been top notch, and I sure have had quite the variety! My typical go-to order is the pork belly in a pita with fries, but I've also had other variations. And I've also had the platters as well. I've loved all of them but the pork belly is definitely my favorite! The sauces are delicious, but my 2 faves are the spicy tzatziki and fresko sauce. Will usually get one of those 2 on my dishes. The dolmades are very yummy as well (usually get them as a side on my platter or will do a stand-alone order if I get a pita). I am OBSESSED with the spanakopita, I cannot get an order from here without that. I love dipping it in whatever sauce I have as well. I frequently do the dip trio for some variety also. Both the desserts (loukoumades and baklava) are delicious - they're not overly sweet which is perfect for me because I'm not into super sweet desserts. What I love most about this spot is that it feels indulgent but still fresh and on the healthier side, so you don't feel like you got hit by a truck as if you just stuffed your face with a massive burger or something. Ordered for lunch on DoorDash as I've been trying to make my way around trying a few eateries in my area that I've had my eye on for a while--Yiro Yiro was one of them. I'm pescatarian so making a decision on what to get was fairly easy as falafel was probably the only option besides the lamb and chicken. The falafel were fresh and flavorful, veggies were crisp and fresh and the fries were surprisingly still crispy upon arrival. Was not a fan of the spicy feta or hummus but the tzatziki was on point! Not sure that this is worth $17, especially because it's just chickpeas but that's just my personal opinion. read more

Yiro Yiro is a fast casual order at the counter place that serves great Greek food. Their Kabobs and Shawarma are both fantastic with tons of flavor and done quite quickly. Everything is prepared fresh to order and it's hard to go wrong here. I'm docking one star because I've had a few experiences here where the Iced Tea/Lemonade tasted off and I suspect it's because they didn't clean those machines well. Which is a shame because the restaurant is generally pretty dang clean too so it seems like a miss than an intentional behavior to not keep things clean. So if you're in the area, I highly recommend Yiro Yiro! Now the part of the review no one ever comes for: - Water: While there is a water tap to get water, you are in Philly, the water isn't the greatest - Restrooms: There is a single occupancy restroom - Accessibility: The entire restaurant is wheelchair accessible - Seating: There is some seating in the front but there's also a 'secret' dining room in the rear. Likewise about secrets, there is a parking lot for the shopping center in the rear as well. - Will it fill you up? I think in most cases, yes. Ordered take out the other day and everything was BOMB!!!! Absolutely delicious. I got the Yiros in a pita with lamb & beef, fried zuchinni & Pork Skewers with a side of pita. The Meats were so flavorful and the fried zuchinni was so yummy they came with a delish white tzatziki cream. The portions were great and the prices are awesome. This place is amazing! Clean. I like clean places where you can see the clean or even smell bleach. The food is fresh and even the fries survived the drive home. I go here pretty frequently but on 8/8 I was wildly disappointed. We ordered the chicken yiro, and the kipos salad with falafel. Both the chicken and falafel tasted old, like it was sitting in a fridge for a few days, while the pita was rock hard and stale as can be. My salad came with no dressing and truly tasted like they ran to Acne down the road and dumped a bag salad into a bowl. I called to voice my concerns I was just met with a thanks for the feed back. I spent $27 only to toss it out and order from elsewhere. As a place who's slogan is a fresh spin on fast Greek, this was anything but. Got take out from here while we running errands. Great packaging, easy to understand the menu and you can mix and match things. I love that they do fries in the Gyro. I ordered the lamb and beef with spicy tzatziki sauce and onions. Slightly heavy on the onions, but it was probably because I didn't get the tomatoes. Anyway the pita was slightly hard, and lamb and beef wasn't as seasoned as I would like it. But my SO correctly pointed it out that there are subtle differences between Greek and Mediterranean cuisines, and the lack of seasoning could be because of the authenticity. Great for a Yiro! I live in the area and stopped here twice. The first time I got the platter with lamb/beef, the villager salad, pita and tzatziki. The pita wasn't fresh with the platter and the meat was eh. Now when I got the chicken Yiro, so much better!! Pita was fresh, loaded with meat and tzatziki. I've had many times in the past but now for some reason they're charging $18 for Falafel platter includes hummus french fries and a small tomato cucumber salad the same exact price as they charge for the pork belly, the beef, the chicken or whatever homemade Grilled roasted meat. We all know the cost of meat is up but is the cost of chickpeas up. I don't think so so I'll have to say thank you but no thank you in the future until you lower the price. stop taking advantage of vegans/vegetarians. Saw this place on DoorDash and it had me at baklava! So I decided to order dinner and it didn't disappoint. I got the Yiros on a Plate which included hummus, falafel, fries, pita slices and a mini villager salad (cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, and feta cheese with an amazing Greek dressing). Lots of food and well worth the price. The falafel was amazing as it had a bit of a kick. The baklava was very good as well. I would highly recommend trying this place out. read more

My first visit to the Roxborough location to try their gyro. There is on street parking on Ridge Avenue. The restaurant is bright and cheery with the color scheme. I decided on the beef/lamb gyro woth tzatziki sauce and the greek yogurt with strawberries, bananas, honey, and granola for my daughter. The menu allows you to either put it in pita or plate it. They offer chicken, pork, beef/lamb, and falafel. Then select sauce. You can add fries to the entree. I passed on the extra calories. There are a number of sides as well as salads. Plus two different desserts. On my next visit I will eat in so I can enjoy the food after it is prepared. Also, I want to try sides and dessert. read more

This place is a tucked away hidden gem off Ridge Avenue that serves up fresh authentic Greek platters and sides. This is our second time eating here and leaving with a full belly and smile on our face. My girlfriend and I each got a beef and lamb platter, hers with rice pilaf, mine with French fries. The spicy tzatziki and cucumber salad added so much freshness and flavor. The zucchini fries side order with tzatziki is a must have add-on. The spicy tzatziki packs a nice balanced punch that doesn't overpower the well seasoned gyro meat. The spicy feta dip is a thicker dip perfect to dip their fluffy pita bread in. While the $15 price tag on a platter was a little steep, the quality of ingredients and generous portion sizes eased our minds. We ordered Yiro Yiro on this rainy Jan 1st to start the year off right. The food is great and the service even better. We ordered the beef and lamb box, beef and lamb on pita, falafels and the homemade loukoumades with powdered sugar and nutella. We ordered off grubhub but the photo of the beef and lamb was wrong as seen in my photo it's basically meat and french fries in a box which was not what we had expected. I've been to Yiro Yiro a few times now and every time I come here I am never disappointed! I actually did a project for one of my food marketing classes on this restaurant and had the pleasure of speaking with one of the managers who was very friendly and gave me a lot of great information for my project! All of it was very delicious and came in great to go packaging. I also went to Yiro Yiro yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I brought my friend with me, who had never been there before and he loved it! He got a gyro and the Greek fries, the Greek fries were perfectly crispy and the feta sprinkled on top was amazing. My beef and lamb Yiro was huge fully of tasty juicy meat and a delicious Tzatziki sauce made with cucumbers and yogurt. Probably the best I have ever had. The chicken skewers were grilled and delicious accompanied by fresh pita slices,rice pilaf and a fresh tasty Greek salad. The yogurt and cucumber side was made with Greek yogurt Our dessert consisted of a generous slice of Baklava. Very tasty with lots of honey syrup. A solid addition to the Roxborough food scene, Yiro Yiro is a nice, fast causal restaurant. Their offerings are a relatively standard Greek/Mediterranean affair. You can enjoy your selections on a pita or as a platter. I opted for the lamb-beef platter, which came with fries. I was satisfied with the portion size and even ended up taking a bit of it home with me. The quality of my meal was solid - not amazing enough that I feel the need to rush back but enjoyable enough to want to come back. While their dessert (baklava) looked tempting and seemed to be a fair price for the size, I wasn't quite hungry enough to give it a go this round. Beyond the food, it is worth noting that they have a small eat-in area in the back of the restaurant. There are only a handful of tables, but it is kept clean. Yiro Yiro, thank you for taking me back to Jimmy's Gyros in Mykonos, where the gyros are made with crispy fries inside, as they should be! YUM!! This is definitely one of the most authentic, delicious quick Greek eats I've had outside of that stunning country... Gyros any way you like it, with choice of meats or not (falafel) and your choice of a variety of sauces like spicy tzatziki. We shared the falafel one and it was absolutely PACKED. It was super filling and delish! Everything was cooked just right and that tzatziki was the perfect spicy punch I desired. There's also the option of making a platter with the same meat or veg options. We shared the falafel one and it was hearty. It came with 6 balls, 4 pita slices, a bit of traditional Greek salad (sans lettuce-that's an Americanized thing) and all the fixings you've come to expect from the cuisine. There's a small up charge (.75) for the Greek fries which has feta and Mediterranean spices. YUM!! Go for it! The spanakopita was also a winner! Big time. It was a spiral, which is genius!! This way of rolling makes sure you have enough filling in each bite. The phyllo was crispy, buttery and flaky the way it should be and the filling/exterior ratio was perfect! I loathe biting into a square and just having dough. I'm not sure why everyone doesn't roll theirs, because it's really awesome! We surely didn't have room for dessert this time, but the top your own Greek yogurt bar was enticing, as were the loukoumades! Next time! It's a casual order at the counter, they'll call you when it's ready place but it's adorable.
