The people were nice until we got our large order of nachos and they prepared them all dry. We asked them to add more cheese and they became rude. They wanted to charge me $2.00 extra for a small cup or cheese to add! CRAZY! I wish I would've taken a picture of it. My husband got a large elote and the bottom of it was swimming in mayonnaise. He mention something to them and they responded aggressively. We just ended up telling them "that's fine just leave it alone." A nice little place for a cold bite. I originally came here to purchase a mangonada but they had the explosion instead. Little that I knew, it was more of a sorbet of some kind. Fresh mango to top it off and spicy chamoy, I enjoyed the flavors of the explosion. The candy was a little much for me, but it went well with the item. I was quite upset going there. Their practice is illegal. They have their menu posted on the walls lower than the price they charge you. I had never been there before and the menu suggested the 2 single scoop cups would be around $5 plus tax. I was charged $7. The portion was tiny. You'll get better flavor and value out of any other place that sells ice cream. Cannot recommend. Furthermore, I was ignored for the first 15 minutes I was in there. I tried my first mangonada here and realized I've been missing out all my life. If you love mangos, you need to give this a try! I split the Explosion with a friend, which was a good idea since it can probably happily feed 3. This mangonada sundae of sorts lives up to its name since it's a total flavor bomb - sweet mango sorbet and fresh mango chunks, sour and salty chamoy sauce, and a touch of heat from chili powder. It's also topped with strings of "salsaghetti", a Mexican candy that's akin to a more savory Sour Punch Straw, a tamarind paste coated straw, and a packet of Lucas candy syrup. While all the crazy toppings appealed to my inner child, the intense flavors may take a more adult palate to appreciate if you didn't grow up eating these. The salty-sour-spicy-sweet combo is definitely acquired taste, but I loved it. The chamoy and chile actually enhanced the cool, refreshing sweetness of the mango and kept me coming back for more, scoop after scoop. We also shared a cup of Mexican corn, which was just okay. It's not on the cob as we expected but rather canned corn topped with chile, mayo, and cheese. It was still very tasty if a little soggy. In addition to mangonadas and corn, El Kiosko's offerings are extensive. The sorbet in the Explosion was super delicious and clearly made with real fruit, so I can't wait to try their other flavors. Located and tucked away on a loan strip mall, El Kiosko has a delicious menu of hispanic desserts. I elected to get the Mango Explosion, or rather a mangonada. The price was over $5 which is pretty steep for a drink. Regardless the drink itself was pretty spectacular. The taste was an explosion of flavor. In many instances, this would describe something that is positive. But in this case, it could be thought of as an unfortunate thing. First I felt that the sourness of this drink is extremely overpowering. Its also rather spicy too. The mango taste is strong and they give you a lot. In my opinion, theres just way too much flavor in this drink and it overpowers the palate with different and bold tastes. I suppose thats why its called an "Explosion"? I'm sure some people will like this drink, but I'm indifferent to it. The other menu items look pretty good. Will have to come back to try it out. read more

I tried the shredded chicken torta. They barely put chicken in it. Some other places I've been, stack the torta which El Kiosko fails at. Unfortunately in both of my tortas, I bit into pieces of plastic which somehow made it into the sandwich. This was disappointing because I will never try any of their food items after this discovery. I stopped in because I was in the area and they had great reviews . I waited in line to order and some how three people were taken care of before me that came in after me. No one ever asked me if I needed to order. I finally gave my order to the young boy at the register even though he would not look at me at that point some one else told him to ring me up.
