Steak Tacos
Michael B.

Had a quick dinner sitting at the bar. Service was quick and friendly. I had a pineapple agua fresca that was cold and tasty. Steak tacos were hot and well seasoned. Red salsa was insanely hot but salsa verde was perfect. Great prices.

Enchilada lunch special.

Coming from Texas it's a little tough to rate this place but not try and compare it to Texas as that would not be fair. A little Mexican in Alabama with an affordable lunch menu and good food. I had the enchiladas. There was nothing mind blowing here but the food came out quick and it was relatively cheap. Service was also on point. I would come back here to grab something quick and if I was feeling like eating some Mexican.

Seafood Soup!! Hands down the best Mexican soup I've ever had, full of flavors that make your tastebuds go crazy!

The amazing salsa. Did I mention amazing? It's amazing. Like a party in your mouth.

Let me first say amazing, fantastic, great salsa. It's like a mini party in your mouth. The flavors just explode. We came in a Wednesday not that busy but still very quick and good service. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs. Both me and my husband got the #6 it was a good value for the amount of food. We didn't eat it all. Oh well lunch tomorrow. I'm most impressed with the salsa. It was the star to me.

Some of the best, authentic Mexican food that I've ever had and at a price that was truly unbelievable. I totally recommend anyone to check out this restaurant!

This was our first visit; heard it advertised on a local radio talk show. We were pleased. The menu has a large selection. The salsa dip was a little on the spicy side but very good. We ordered the cheese dip and it was a larger portion than most restaurants serve. We both enjoyed our food and agreed it's one of the better Mexican restaurants in Montgomery. The service was good. The health department score was 97. We will go back.

Food was awful. Service was worse. Staff seemed not to care. I asked one person who the manager was and he shrugged.

This Mexican restaurant has a very different feel than most of your traditional Mexican…read morerestaurants. It didn't have all the Spanish decor and music playing. It has a very open dining room and accent lights along the walls. We had a young man named Jackson as our server. He seemed a bit timid but provided great service. He made suggestions on dishes and made sure we had what we needed as the meal progressed. My friend, who has frequented this place before stated that their menus were new. I have included photos of the food menus. For me, they weren't very user friendly or organized well. Either way, we figured it out. The dishes were generous in portions and very very delicious! I had the meal #44 which is the Naked Pablano Pepper which I got with chicken. My friend took Jackson's recommendation of the #32 which is the Plato de Carnitas. Great experience. Would definitely come back!

The slow-cooked brisket tacos are absolutely on point: tender, rich, and packed with flavor that keeps me coming back. Every visit has been consistent, and that's what I love most--you know you're going to get great food and great service every time. Sol Taqueria really nails that balance of authenticity and comfort. It feels like a place you can count on, whether it's your first visit or your tenth.

I was first introduced to Tacos Favorito when I went there with my team from work. They told me…read morethat it was very inexpensive but totally authentic. A lot of restaurants claim to be "authentic", but this place doesn't have to make any claims as it is inherently authentic due to the national origin of its chefs and recipes. I take the opportunity to introduce this restaurant to as many people as possible. I take out of town friends there and they are a little scared when they see the locale and outside of the building, but once you meet the incredibly friendly owners and chef there and eat the awesome food they make, all of that pomp that you expect of an American restaurant is unimportant. When you sit down to eat, don't expect them to bring you chips and salsa, that's not how they "do it" here. They'll bring you a menu and you can order a la carte tacos, burritos, tortas (big sandwiches), tamales with different meat choices including beef, chicken, pork, and other more authentic meat choices (I'll leave it as an exercise for the reader to discover those new tastes for themselves). They have a TV on at all times playing Mexican soap operas (during lunch). If you want real Mexican food in Montgomery (anywhere for that matter), then you need to try this restaurant. This is not Tex-Mex or any other Americanized watered down food, it is the real deal. That means that you should probably put your sauce on the side at first until you discover how extremely spicy the sauces are.

Not enough positive feedback could properly articulate his service for our large group! Jose was equally as attentive while we were planning before we arrived to Montgomery and made it so seamless even a quick check in day of the confirm location. The food was killer! We had a little bit of everything: * build your own queso (SO good. A whole meal, really.) * lots of fajitas * tacos * carne asada * chimichangas * and more... All was so good! Kudos to everyone! Definitely recommend. The restaurant itself is such a vibe - building is cute, easy parking.
