Celebrated my anniversary here and I was quite impressed! Service was above and beyond from beginning to end. Rose petals, personalized menus, and a sweet card all were on the table. Free valet is amazing! I did opt for garage parking though since I arrived a bit early. It was easy to find if you follow the signage. Our server was so generous that she even took $75 off of our bill. As for the food, we had the flaming sword brochette of tenderloin and New York. It was delicious, but I probably would order something else next time. After adding on the baked potato and crab mac and cheese, we were definitely so full that dessert was physically impossible. We ended up taking a lot of the food home. However, I will say that one of my favorite parts was the bread basket. The bread was fantastic!

Solid happy hour, which is just across the street from where I work, making it a win! My colleagues and I come here for happy hour and it's always a good time, which run from 4-6pm on weekdays. You'll want to partake in the happy hour specials and try out the patio seating for those sunny days. El Gaucho is a classy steakhouse in Bellevue with valet parking and staff that are better dressed than you. One time we attempted to come here for happy hour, waltzing in the bar area, thinking that we could sit anywhere in the bar because well, it's a bar. And no, that's not the case here. Even if you come for happy hour in the bar area or wherever, you must be seated by the hostess. It's that kind of fancy pants place. Despite it being fancy pants, it's not stuffy, like how some of these places can be. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. Your water glass will never be empty! Service is top notch here. And the place is great for large groups and parties with its spacious restaurant. Make a reservation for a large group, which will require a $200 minimum, which is easy to do here. Happy hour specials include wine pours, cocktails, small bites and larger ones. Some hits are the calamari, steak sandwich, steak bites and the crispy fries. The burger is the best deal on the happy hour, which is a half-pound burger and fries for about $18. It's great for your meal. I do prefer John Howie's burger better, but it's not bad. Instead, I think you should opt for the steak sandwich or steak frites, which is a few bucks more, but is better tasting. El Gaucho is a solid happy hour in Bellevue for those who like quality fare at reasonable prices.

I have been here several times in the past for a work event and for several business dinners. All previous experiences were very positive. This time, we returned for a free seminar type of event. I was expecting 'less than' for the overall experience, but I was wrong! They were super smooth getting drinks out to four tables, an appetizer platter that was right sized for each table, plus individual Ceasar salads. All these were while we attended the seminar. Smooth and attentive service! Because this is an event, this review does not address cost or value. For the restaurant itself, it is an open space and LOUD outside at the tables. Our private room was much more reasonable when the doors were closed. If you do an event here, be sure to book a private room. It is a must to hear anything. I wish they had an option to turn the light up a bit. Eating while paying attention to a talk in a dimly lighted room is a challenging combo. Happy tummy wants to go to sleep. The Food (see photo for full menu): Starters: Wild Mushroom Flatbread, 4 Stars - This was really tasty but a bit messy with soggy bottom because of the truffle oil Mini Chicken Sandwiches - These are crispy enough that they remind me of Korean fried chicken. Also recommend as an excellent finger food. Beef Tenderloin Kabobs - Highly, highly recommend this! The chimichurri sauce sealed the deal Classic Caesar Salad - ordinary Baseball Cut Top Sirloin, 10 oz While Walla Walla got this very wrong with no seasoning, El Gaucho got it very, very right! Even the mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetable medley are well seasoned and flavorful. King Salmon with a chimichurri sauce Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned. Thumbs up! Desserts - bit sized cheesecake, chocolate ganache were both delicious. Color me impressed that El Gaucho pulled off a fabulous experience for a seminar event. So different than my takeaway from Walla Walla. Now I want to return.

Parking is very convenient, with complimentary valet service and an easily accessible parking garage. They also validate your parking ticket. Making a reservation online was easy. Unlike other locations, the special request box only appears after booking your reservation. I booked mine 4-5 days in advance and my request was fulfilled. The customized menu was beautifully made, and to my surprise, they even gave us a booth without me requesting it. While there's no special view through the windows, the restaurant itself looks great. Also, it seems they hand-sign the card here, unlike other locations that print or stamp the names. Nice touch. The food was amazing. The Caesar salad and ribeye were the best I've ever had. The ribeye was a perfect cut, not too fatty and cooked to perfection. We also got the filet mignon but I preferred the ribeye. I previously tried the Chateaubriand at another location, but the ribeye remains my favorite. The mashed potatoes were rich and creamy. Service was attentive and fast. The only issue was our waiter assumed we were done with our mashed potatoes and cleared it along with the empty plates. We are still sad about it. The crème brûlée was nice, though the carrot cake wasn't quite to my taste, but that's just my personal preference. The complimentary snack plate at the end was my least favorite. We came here mainly for the experience and service. While the diminishing return was real, we still had a great anniversary overall.

Service at El Gaucho Bellevue is consistently great, attentive, professional, and friendly. Dessert was a definite highlight and absolutely lovely. However, the food itself can be quite inconsistent. While it is a popular steakhouse in Bellevue, I feel there are better dining options out there if you are looking for a reliably exceptional meal.

From the moment I needed to adjust my reservation, El Gaucho's commitment to exceptional service was evident. The staff's accommodating nature in rebooking our first anniversary dinner set the tone for what would become a memorable evening, even if the pacing had room for improvement. Housed in their elegant Bellevue location, El Gaucho creates an atmosphere that perfectly balances sophistication with warmth. The space is illuminated primarily by intimate mood lighting - perhaps a touch too dark for some - but this theatrical ambiance makes the restaurant's signature tableside flame preparations all the more spectacular. While the initial service was prompt, with starters arriving within 10 minutes, the timing between courses proved to be the evening's main stumbling block. A 30-minute wait for main courses felt notably long, especially for a restaurant of this caliber. This gap somewhat disrupted the flow of what was otherwise an expertly crafted dining experience. That said, the quality of the food justified the wait. The evening began with their complimentary house-made garlic bread, which alone is worth the visit. Our starter of prosciutto-wrapped scallops was expertly prepared, achieving that perfect balance of crispy prosciutto and tender, succulent scallops. When they finally arrived, the main courses showcased El Gaucho's culinary expertise. The baseball top sirloin proved to be a masterclass in steakhouse excellence, accompanied by perfectly sautéed mushrooms and decadent scalloped potatoes. The vegetarian risotto demonstrated that El Gaucho's expertise extends beyond their renowned steaks, offering a creamy, flavorful alternative that could satisfy even the most devoted carnivore. The classic crème brûlée provided a fitting finale to our meal, with its perfectly caramelized top giving way to silky custard beneath. Adding to the sophisticated ambiance, a live pianist enhanced the evening with an eclectic repertoire that included an unexpected but delightful jazz interpretation of Disney classics. This touch of whimsy in an otherwise formal setting perfectly captured El Gaucho's ability to be both elegant and approachable. While the dim lighting and extended wait times between courses might be considerations for some diners, the overall experience at El Gaucho remains impressive. The combination of exceptional food quality, attentive service, and elegant atmosphere makes it a worthy choice for special occasions, even if you might need to budget extra time for your meal. Price: $$$$ Perfect for: Special occasions, romantic dinners, business dining Highlights: Impeccable service, live piano music, tableside preparations Note: Be prepared for potentially lengthy waits between courses

This place lives up to the expectations ! Good was top notch , steaks perfectly cooked , ordered the flaming sword which alternated filet and sirloin . Both were cooked to perfection. Appetizer and sides were equally good . Service was very friendly and accommodating . Live piano was playing at the bar adding to the good ambiance . Add it to your list if you're visiting Seattle !

Just celebrated my parent's 70th (yes, 70th!) wedding anniversary with a dinner at El Gaucho Bellevue. The planning staff was very accommodating, the food was wonderful, and the wait staff was outstanding. We also enjoyed the private Horse Heaven room, located just off the entrance to the restaurant. It was the perfect size for our event and the easy access was very convenient for my parents. The staff had my banner hung and a special plate placed before we arrived and the floral arrangement that I purchased from the event planner's florist was beautiful! See picture below. Thank you, El Gaucho, for making my parent's 70th anniversary a wonderful experience for our family.

Treated our son and his wife to dinner while we were in town. Kaila was our server and she was impeccable with her service, friendliness and approach. Something we always expect while dining here. You pay for the food, service and ambiance but you know it'll always be great! We started with drinks and two appetizers. The old fashioned was really great! The wicked shrimp (best by far!) and the seared scallops were perfect. The shrimp were huge, tender and drenched in the spiciest and most flavorful wicked sauce. The crusty garlic bread served with it was top notch! I enjoyed the crab cake appetizer as my entree and the hubs loved his baseball steak with rich peppercorn sauce. We shared a side of the Chipotle grilled corn and for dessert, a slice of the keylime pie was offered at no charge. It was impressive! Because we were celebrating both our anniversary and my hubby's bday, we joined the frequent diners club which provided us a $150 credit! Love this place when we're in town and it was a special treat to share it with our kids.

The menu shows off many colorful fruit flavored carbonated beverages all of which sound delicious. Sometimes its really good and addicting. Other times ive been, ive gotten a few drinks that were flat and very bland flavor as if they skipped adding some of the listed flavors. I dont fully understand why. The concept is simple, they use soda and add a scoop of fruit pulp, a pump or so of syrup, and a sprinkle of dried fruit bits. I could be wrong, but I feel like i noticed they use large bottle of the carbonated drink to pour many drinks, but they go flat over time. Which means some people will get flat drinks. On my last visit i ordered several drinks. One was bland and flat.I tried to get them to remake my flat drink, but they warned me it would still be flat. I insisted as my other drinks we had taste better having more carbonated spark and sweet juicy flavors. They remade it using the same bottle of soda and it was just as flat and bland the second time so I just tossed the drink and sipped on my families drinks that tasted amazing. Idk if i would recommend this location as it seems to be so hit or miss. Maybe just make sure they use fresh soda and also that they give you all the mentioned flavors. Hey, maybe on my last visit they just ran out of flavor and fresh soda and didnt want to tell me. When they make it right, its absolutely worth a try.

Ordering is very simple on the kiosk as you just select your drink and also choose an Adaptogen, which is their version of a health "boost". A few of the Adaptogens are free of cost (I selected the immunity one), but other more premium options will cost a dollar or two extra. According to the staff member, most of the Adaptogens are flavorless. All drinks are $7 each and only come in one size. I've visited on two different occasions and both times, my seltzer was ready in just a couple minutes. + PINEAPPLE BREEZE: A refreshing combination of pineapple purée, passion fruit purée, freeze-dried passion fruit and a thin slice of dried pineapple. Both fruity flavors were balanced; I could taste the bright pineapple and the juicy tropical passion fruit. The seltzer was crisp and perfect to enjoy in the Seattle sun. The freeze-dried passion fruit dissolved over time, strengthening the intensity of its flavor with each sip. + RUBY REFRESHER: This drink included cherry purée in addition to lychee. The menu stated that it also includes coconut, but the employee who helped us said that they have never added coconut to the drink, so I'd suggest that they update the description. Additionally, she said that they were out of the actual lychee fruit which would have otherwise been placed on top, so she substituted with some freeze-dried strawberries. This said, the drink strayed from what was displayed on the menu, but it was still good. The cherry flavor tasted very natural and the lychee flavoring brought a juicy sweetness. With this being located within the Lincoln Food Hall, these seltzers are somewhat of a splurge, but are the perfect addition to round out any meal.

It's at the corner of one of the buildings. Dark, mid sized interior with some cool neon lights and light up marble pattern bar counter. Not very busy when I went at happy hour/dinner time on a Friday night, but the place is busier later at night on Friday/Saturday during the warmer months. Sometimes they have events and DJs. Sat at the bar and tried out some happy hour specials. Got the Korean sauce wings ($12) and cheese truffle fries ($8). Decent amount of fries, definitely has cheese flavor but not that much truffle oil aroma. I liked the wings which you get 6 per order. They weren't fried, but rather tender and juicy. Sauce was agreeable. Definitely enough food for my dinner. As for the drinks, I got the rosemary mule which is Moscow mule with some rosemary herb. The copper mug they use is good sized. Tasted refreshing although could feel the alcohol afterwards. Also tried a corpse reviver no. 2, which was a little sweet but has a punch. Cocktail prices are not cheap outside of happy hour, in the upper teens. Overall, was glad I tried the place out. Will drop by for happy hour once in a while.

Their playlist was super chill, too--mostly 90s rnb/hiphop. The drinks were both tasty and strong (and a bit on the pricier end lol). I opted for their mezcal cocktail while my homegirl got a s'more's type martini I think. Their menu also offers food and wine, but we opted to just try some drinks and bounce. Overall, a cool place to try out.

We were hungry so we ordered quite a bit: Pani Puri shots, Mumbai crossroads, Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan. I'm pretty basic so I ordered the Tikka Masala and I loved it! We loved every dish and I liked that the portions were generous enough. We were the only ones there when we got seated so we got our food pretty quickly. I'd love to go back and try their other dishes!

We sat for about 10 minutes and had Cliff pour us water and walked away. He then stood in the corner where we were seated and ate what looked like a mango. We waited till he was done and waved him down to take our drink orders. We got our drinks and then he disappeared. We observed other servers taking care of their tables and being present but our server was not to be found. Cliff then appeared back with what looked like tea and stood and drank his tea. We again waited and this experience felt like a prank where there is a hidden camera, waiting for our next move. We were really ready to get up and leave. Slowest service ever. Finally cliff came and we ordered food. Food came out with 15min of ordering. Cod took a little longer. Cod and lamb chops were the best meal of the day. Cod was cooked in such a good gravy and very tasty and so was the lamb. We ordered a variety of naan which was a little chewy. Dessert was the sticky pudding which was very nice. Overall this place is pricey and tip is included so you can't except great service. I would go back here for drinks. But our experience today was awful. Maybe a more engaged server would have changed our experience for the better.
