Disappointed at this place for the ratings it has and the amount of good comments it has for their customer service. Food took way too long to come out and was semi warm didn't enjoy it. I'm not sure if it was the owner of the restaurant but as I was grabbing more napkins, the person over the counter was upset I was grabbing more napkins and proceeded to yell at me to let me know there was napkins in the bag and didn't need more. Making it seem like I couldn't grab more napkins. It was my first time and making it my last time never again. read more

I seldom give 5 stars, but this place has offered me the best seafood soup I ever had since I became a yelper so... here it goes! The place itself features nothing special in itself yet it's very clean. The kitchen is semi opened, you can tell how clean it is and also see that everything is made from scratch to order. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They even gave me some birria consommé sampler when I asked if i could just get a taste of it. The best part: The food! Their chicken meat is such a delish. seasoned to perfection with an after taste of mesquite (I think?), perfectly cooked, some of the best chicken taco I ate but the best.... was the spicy seafood soup. The owner/cook told me she would make it extra spicy for me and that everything was made to order, including the soup broth. She didn't lie and didn't disappoint. The seafood was so fresh and so perfectly cooked (the octopus would literally melt in my mouth), the flavors were so intense yet delicate. Lot of shrimps and large chunks of firm fish. Perfectly seasoned, it reminded me some of the soups I used to eat in south Asia but in a better, more tasteful version with of course a different (Mexican) kick. I think the tortilla is homemade, but I am not 100% sure. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back! PS: seat yourself, pay at the register once you're done. Stoped by here today my gf wanted to try it, really glad we came it was so damn good! My picadillo plate was 10/10 with tortillas hechas a mano. Her asada burrito was also really good but my plate was alittle better lol, Service was also amazing! And they serve BEER! Wow. I've passed by this place many times but decided to stop today instead of going to iHop, and let me tell you it was the best decision! We ordered menudo, tacos, agua de piña, and chilaquiles verdes. I was expecting mediocre Mexican food but what I got instead were dishes that reminded me of my childhood. Everything was so good, which is hard to find in a restaurant. Usually restaurants have certain dishes that are better than others, so when I was looking at other yelp reviews I noticed there wasn't one thing in particular that stood out. I can't wait to come back and try something new. Additionally, the customer service was wonderful. Assuming this is family owned since there were pictures of them near the register. We were looking for a place to eat We found Gallo Bravo through Yelp and what a great find it was! Starting with their crispy chips and delicious salsa, my husband and I both ordered menudo which is homemade and to die for but the best part for me was the homemade tortillas! They really took me back to my childhood in Guatemala! The owners are super nice and we can't wait to come back and try other dishes! We definitely recommend it! My son just finished soccer practice and was hungry. We happened to see this place open so we stopped by. We walked in at 6:50 and saw they closed at 7:00 so we were ready to leave but they insisted we stay and I'm glad we did the food was amazing, very authentic and everyone loved their plate. We got a quesadilla, pupusas, a taco plate and a bowl of seafood soup. The only thing better than the food was the service. This is a small family owned restaurant that knows how to serve great food and treat customers like family. We will definitely be coming back. read more

I ordered 4 mini tacos on a Thursday afternoon,pretty hot in there, no a.c. so if your intolerant to heat be forewarned.Service was quick with lightning fast attendance and food prep to completion. If you dine in, you get chips while you wait,the salsa is super tasty and tomatoes were diced pretty chunky,so it was very good. I recognized the owner from the spicy scorpion down the street, so knew food would be decent. The owner is the cook too,the food is consistently tasty. The chips are always crispy and sometimes hot.if chips are going to be crispy and hot and tasty then you'll know it's going to be a decent place if that much time is given to a basic chip. I ordered 4 tacos 2 buche and 2 al pastor w the works. The buche was prepped a little differently than what I'm used to but still was extremely tasty. The al pastor was ok ,the marinade didn't penetrate into meat long enough so it was a little bland inside,but still tasty on the outside. Overall, this place got 3 stars due to lack of ac for comfortability plus 1 bonus star for a giant fan for trying to accommodate patrons halfway. I'm looking around the restaurant at other dishes and can see the portions are really big, so if you have a large appetite you will get satisfactorily filled, if you split the meal (combo) you will both be satisfied as well. It's April 1st 12:37pm just finished leaving El Gallo Bravo. I ordered 5 different meats: Asada, Pastor, Buche, Lengua & Carnitas 1st Asada: Asada tacos were okay kinda tasted not like Asada more like ground beef meat. 2nd Pastor: Pastor was okay as well taste like the Asada tacos but with added seasoning to it not your Authentic Pastor that you normally get. 3rd Buche: Buche tacos were to salty but when you added lemon to it. It balanced out the favor so wasn't bad. 4th Carnitas: Carnitas were the best out of all the meats. They were really bomb good flavor, crispy taste it was just perfect. Lastly Lengua: Lengua was awful tasted like if the meat was sitting in a big pot soaked in water don't really recommend it but try at your own risk. Reason I'm giving a 4 Star is because of that Lengua taco Great environment, very clean, good customer service. read more
