Came here because of the good reviews. The ambience is nice...a very small restaurant with Mexican decor. Cute. I didn't like that the booths are in poor condition. The seats have some really huge gashes and the filling is sticking out. My hubby ordered a chili verde wet burrito. I'm always nervous when we order chile verde or chile rojo because it can be a hit or miss. this burrito did not disappoint. A really big size burrito. Meat meat was super tender. Yummy flavor! On the weekends the offer homemade tortillas. The chips and salsa that came out first was a great start. The chips came out warm and the salsa had a nice kick to it. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. Service was a little dry but friendly. read more

We found this place through Yelp. It didn't matter if we had to drive off the beaten path in our way home on the 15 freeway. We wanted good Mexican food. This place did not disappoint. The location is pretty small but very well decorated. We got chilaquiles and menudo. I will be back to try more food but the chilaquiles were pretty good, the menudo was okay but not great. The service was excellent, I think it might've been the owner walking around and greeting guests and asking if everything was ok. read more

One of the best tasting chile rellenos in town! I particularly enjoyed it as a burrito with rice and beans. The chile was flavorful, stuffed with melted cheese and had a tender fried batter coating. The al pastor grande taco was also tasty with a large meat portion size. The beef tacos dorados were very crispy with a plentiful filling and topping of lettuce, crema, and shredded cheese. One of the few places here serving chocoflan. This dessert is a mysterious thing which goes into an oven to bake all mixed together. The flan and chocolate then separates into each individual layer to make a delicious creamy cake dessert. I had ordered the food through DoorDash. What a horrible experience! My family and I had been here several times before and the food/service were always good. However, the usual guy who takes the orders and the usual waitress were not there. Apparently, that made a huge difference. The asada was not grilled enough, it looked pale in color & was chewy. Our food took almost an hour to get placed at our table when we had ordered 2 taco salads, 2 multias and an order or asada fries. We had to ask for drink refills and of course they didn't ask if we'd like more chips. To top it off, we asked for a to go box for the tostada salad and they gave us the smallest box ever! They said they didn't have anything else so I asked for some foil. The waitress said she'd have to ask her boss if that was OK. Really?! Honestly, don't waste your time or money here. We were driving down the 91 and I looked up some Mexican food nearby and ended up finding this place. I said let's give it a shot and I'm very glad we did. We ordered the Menudo, birria tacos and the chicken flautas. We also got the Horchata and a Michelada. Hands down some of the best Mexican food I've had in a long time I come from a family that only eats home cooked meals, and their food at this restaurant reminded me of home. The menudo was actually one of the best menudos I've had, I ordered it without the hominy and it was 10/10 I'd really like to come back soon and try the gorditas I've heard they are bomb. The service was also 10/10 everyone in there is super friendly and helpful when it comes to getting things you need. I hope you give this spot a try as I will also being going again ! This used to be our favorite spot to eat breakfast on the weekends. We loved it so much we bought my parents a gift certificate for Christmas so they could try it. Apparently, they changed ownership in January and the new owner said she would NOT honor that gift certificate. So we lost out on our money. My parents paid for their meal and it was horrible! We loved how the owner, Juan, took the time to greet everyone and came personally to our table to ask how everything was and even proceeded to get to know us a bit. It definitely gives a homely feeling. We were only in town for a wedding and found the restaurant on Yelp, but we'll definitely stop by every time we're in town. Their food menu is unbelievable. You don't know what to get because of the variety but the place gets pretty packed so you have to make sure you look at the menu before you get there. My wife ordered something she orders from almost every Mexican restaurant, and LOVED it from this place! What I ordered was good, but wasn't 5 stars good. The included chips and salsa were enough for two people, but felt like less than I'm used to. I would have preferred normal table service to take a little more time to look at the menu, but that's not their fault. So I recommend you take a good look at the menu beforehand (there are a lot of GREAT options I missed because I felt rushed--again that's not their fault), or just take the time when you're there to appreciate the menu and take care of yourself, too. We will definitely be going back, and I'm sure our next trip will be a 5-star trip when I order the right stuff! read more

This place is ok, when the owners are present. You can tell on the weekends, this place and the service ratings automatically go down. There is a a short lady with glasses walking around the establishment asking, did you order? If the answer is yes, you can keep sitting. If you say no, you're told get up. I watched a lady that was older, asked to get up. The seats were once you've placed the order. I waited for a to-go and I waited for 45 minutes for 10 street tacos. When I dared ask, are the tacos ready, same old lady answers in a rude way... can't you see we are busy? We have a lot of orders... I've had the pleasure of being served by the owners and they are awesome.
