Gingi's is a delicious Baja styled Food Truck that serves great seafood and sushi rolls from what I have encountered. The staff are super friendly, the service is decently timed, and I believe that they are family owned.
I visited this food truck quite some time ago when they were stationed at Glen Helen Raceway for the Red Bull Day in the Dirt event. After my first visit coming here I ended up eating here every day because the food and staff were so good.
I tried just about every one of the rolls they offered. From their original sushi rolls to their tempura rolls I found that each one of them were made uniquely in their own way.
My personal favorite was the "Spicy Crab Roll" for $17.99. This roll includes Shrimp, cucumber, avocado, cheese, spicy Crab meat, jalapeño, and a tasty large chili pepper with their house Sauce on the side.
From what I can remember the roll had quite the crunchy texture with spicy and cold flavors mixed in.
Another good roll I had was the "Mar Y Tierra" for $17.99 as well. This roll includes shrimp, beef, avocado and cheese.
This roll was quite different due to having beef from what I can remember. The flavors of the shrimp combined with the beef and avocado was actually quite the tasty combination in my opinion.
If you ever come across this food truck I would totally stop and give it a try if I were you. In my opinion it is quite rare that you come across a seafood based food truck where the food is actually fresh and amazingly good while not being anywhere close to the ocean. If I ever come across this business again I'll definitely be sure to stop by hungry for more of their delicious food and I think you should definitely do the same.
Unfortunately I did not take photos when I was here so I will upload photos from their social. read more
