Was looking for some homemade menudo and boy did I find it. The menudo was made with honeycomb tripe and hominy(Grano) just like my mom used to make. The added bonus were the home made corn tortillas , so good!! Both me and my wife grew up in East LA/ Boyle heights. So this was an absolute treat. This place is a hidden gem in my opinion and will surely be back to try more of their menu items. The lady there was so nice and helpful. Great experience

Some chilaquiles red and green , banana and strawberries pancakes .

It wasn't bad but wasn't my favorite. Wish they stayed open a little latter. But understand why they can't yet.

Paulina's has consistently delivered incredible food, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that truly feels like home. The food is authentic, fresh, and made with so much care. Every dish is packed with flavor, and you can tell they put their heart and soul into everything that comes out of the kitchen. Whether we're stopping in for a quick meal or celebrating a special occasion, the quality is always exceptional. What truly sets this restaurant apart, though, is the people. The employees are genuinely kind, welcoming, and hardworking. They remember familiar faces, treat everyone like family, and make every visit feel special. That level of hospitality is rare and is one of the biggest reasons we continue coming back year after year. Supporting local businesses like this is important because they are the heart of our community. If you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, exceptional service, and a place that truly cares about its customers, I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Eight years later, it's still one of our family's favorite places, and we'll happily keep coming back for many more.

I had the Mahi-Mahi with shrimp plate and my wife had the triple combination plate. All extremely delicious with generous portions. The server was so friendly and welcoming. The decor is beautiful old pueblo look with table cloth covered tables. All finely tuned and running so well. Super place and we will be back again each time we are in Victorville.

We came here about 3 years ago for my son's birthday, and he insisted on coming back here again for this year's birthday. The waiter was nice and attentive, he didn't have any issues waiting when we needed more time to decide on our order, and he was quick to correct an issue when our food arrived. We never ran out of our drinks, which is a feat in itself with how fast the kids drain theirs! The best part for me was when I showed the waiter a picture of a drink I ordered 3 years ago and the bartender was able to replicate it and tell me what it was so I could order it again. It wasn't on their menu anymore, so it was impressive that he was able to identify it from a picture. Bring back the White wine Sangria, it's delicious! Oh, I also have to mention that when they brought the ice cream out to sing happy birthday, they made sure to include an ice cream for my 5 year old so that she didn't feel left out. I love that they took her into consideration.

The item was actually supposed to be chicken suizas, but we received chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Ironically, my mom liked this first order more than the second one. The shrimp in the shrimp fajitas was seasoned very well and I liked that it was visibly seared/grilled. My mom enjoyed her chicken enchiladas. 2nd order: Shrimp fajitas, but I received fajitas with chicken, shrimp and steak. I made an attempt to eat the steak but it was dry. We ordered chicken suizas and received the actual chicken suizas, which did not have shredded chicken but blocks of chicken. My mom hated this dish and said it made her sick unfortunately. The manager was gracious in correcting the mistakes and gave us some delicious churros, so that helped. The flour tortillas seemed handmade, they were very fluffy. The salsa and chips were good. I enjoyed my fajitas but sadly my mom hated the suizas.

I had higher expectations based on the restaurant's 4.6 rating, but unfortunately my experience…read moredidn't quite match that. I ordered two breakfast burritos and found the food to be pretty mediocre. The potatoes inside were undercooked and still hard, which really took away from the overall dish. The service was also a bit disappointing. The older lady who took my order came across as unpleasant and not very welcoming. On a positive note, the lady cooking in the back seemed much nicer from what I could see, even just from a distance. Overall, I was hoping for a much better experience given the strong rating, but this visit didn't live up to the expectations.

When you see a place with great reviews and inside a gas station (actually a small food court inside of a gas station), you get your hopes up. Something's did not disappoint, but a few items were a miss too. The good: menudo, taquitos and their salsas. They were out of oats and only comes with hominy, but flavors were spot on. Taquitos were crispy and flavorful. Salsas were fire. They had three and all were very good, with the dark red being spiciest. The ok: asada burrito and taco. Both were small and could have had a little more meat. Burrito was mostly beans and taco was tiny. The miss: hard shell taco. Was greasy greasy greasy! More lettuce and cheese could have masked that some, but was mostly tortilla which was drenched.

The Tlayuda was very interesting; kind of like a pizza concept but very very thin, black beans, interesting types of meat, guac, cabbage, etc. I didn't like it very much unfortunately as I felt like some of the meat wasn't very good but that's just my opinion. You have to pay to get salsa and chips which most Mexican restaurants give for free, and that wasn't very good either. Authentic but mediocre. Service wise it wasn't the best either, we waited awhile, had to ask for water, she was nice but wasn't the best Inside is pretty small, they have group tables but it's like you sit all in a line. It was interesting, and they of course have a good amount of 4 seaters. Overall although authentic I would say that for price it did not match quality

This was worth the mini heart attack. The cheese was plentiful on top of chorizo. The only problem was they don't give you enough tortillas. No worries, we just used a fork to get it down. I ordered the dish in my photo that I can't remember. At first sight, I was a little disappointed with the thin meat on top but the total plate together was soooo good. The red saice was delicious. I would recommend.
