    Chorizo and morcilla
    Anna J.

We have come here both times while in Buenos Aires and it is good. The servers are all nice and the food is great but my gripe is that it's way more expensive compared to other restaurants in the area and I didn't think the quality made it worth it! Regardless still delicious! Dinner starts with a delicious table service of bread. We got the chorizo and morcilla as an appetizer and it was delicious! The main we shared the vacío with fries and the bite chorizo and a salad. The food was delicious but like I said not sure price is worth it

The place was really nice, good homey feel to it, we were greeted instantly and seated pretty fast, we didn't make reservations but it was a Wednesday so it wasn't packed, I went with a party of 8 including myself. They had a pretty good variety of food, mostly meat of course. The prices were reasonable and the service was really good, our waiter poured our drinks for us and kept checking on us. The food was tasty. I had the breaded steak it was pretty good, didn't come with anything so I ordered a mixed salad on the side and it was nice and fresh. We also had the spinach, and the eggplant which was like in vinegar, but very tasty! My breaded steak was big enough to share or to take something home. I don't drink but they do have a large variety of wines to choose from, they have water and Pepsi products as well. At the end of the night, they offered a shot of a liquor for free to digest your meal. For dessert, we ordered 3 flans to share and they were delish, very creamy and we asked them with Argentina's famous Dulce de leche( which is like a thick caramel) , the portion was regular size like anywhere else but we were so full that it was perfect for us! Overall, I enjoyed the place a lot!

Food here was the best we had in our 6 days in Buenos Aires. Forget the AYCE places and get better quality here. Service is ok, not great but not bad either. Ambiance is rather quite, it's great for a couple or groups too. Prices: pay in cash and get 10% off This is our favorite steak house now!

What can be said, go! Just go. We were seated immediately. As you enter the building you walk past the grill and get the chance to see how the meat is cooked. Nice selection of wine. The waiter was kind and helpful, as we struggled with our Spanish. We ordered the beef eye, beef de lomo, spinach with garlic, and mashed pumpkin. The portions were more than adequate for two hungry people. The beef was cooked to perfection, tender and rare. Ok I love garlic. I know you've see the scene in 'harry loves sally'....we the spinach with garlic was incredible, chunky fresh garlic made the dish. I even told my husband to shut up while I enjoyed it, now he wants to bottle it. LOL Will return

I was staying a couple of blocks away at the Lancaster Hotel. The restaurant was nearby and had good reviews on Yelp and the front desk recommended it as well. It's an old neighborhood restaurant, with really cool atmosphere. I had a salad and the small ribeye ~12 ounce, and some papa fritas. The steak was excellent and the service was very good. If you're in the area, I highly recommend it

This is the place! Good food. Good service. Takes credit cards but gives a discount for cash. Wine list is solid (and affordable). I got a delicious bottle of wine for less than the price of a glass of crappy wine in the USA. Sat near a gentleman from Costa Rica who has been coming to BA for over 20 years and already eats here while in town. We didn't order steak (got empanadas, provoletta, and patatas bravas), but he did, and I was immediately jealous. If we come back to BA, this place is a definite return!

My favorite in Buenos Aires. Cannot miss spot if you're wanting authentic Argentine parrilla/asado. Bife de Chorizo (NY Strip), Ojo de Bife (Ribeye) and Bife de Lomo (Tenderloin/Filet Mignon) are of the finest quality and perfectly cooked to your taste. Huge selection of sides and salads. Magnificent service (our waiter's name was Walter). Dined there 3 times during my 7 day stay, that goes to show you how much I enjoyed El Establo. 5-Stars without any hesitation.

Super touristy but with a lovely flare. The food was well done. The garlic chicken was so flavorful! Very good food and nice service.

Who doesn't want to enjoy a nice slab of meat in South America. In searching for steak houses near our hotel, yelp gave a nice list of restaurants, and we chose El Establo for dinner. I was extremely pleased with our choice. The restaurant was full as we entered, and we were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. Our waiter took the drink orders and gave us a few recommendations. We ordered the salad and bread as appetizers and then chose the ribeye and the flank (bruchetta de lomo) for the main entrees. There were so many options available for the type of steak. The salad was fresh cut up, served with bread and butter. The steaks were delicious. They were bursting with flavor, easy to chew and perfectly marinated. That is one of the best steaks I have had and it was humongous. I did order French fries to accompany the steak. Our service was up to standards. We were constantly attended to, and our waiter was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed our conversations with him.

I wish I could review this restaurant. Unfortunately when I walked up to it from my downtown hotel I discovered it was permanently closed.

We were in Buenos Aires for a few days prior to our Antartica Trip and asked our concierge at the Sofitel Hotel where we could go for a true Buenas Aires Steak experience. Without any delay he said that we must try Las Lilas. A simple ride over and beautiful location at the site of their redone area along the riverside. Much like every other city is doing. Restaurants. apartments, shops and lots of young people enjoying themselves. We walked inside this beautiful Steakhouse and elected to sit outside where we could enjoy the beautiful view and atmosphere in lovely warm weather. Let me be frank.... Walking into a beautiful Michelin restaurant is pretty much the same around the world. You walk in with a smile and high expectations. Right here in the beginning I will say that the team and service was impeccable from the beginning. Flawless in my opinion. They came over in introduced themselves while bringing us some water, cheesy bread and taking our drink order Appetizers: Three styles of tomatoes. Selection of cheeses from their very complete collection. Main items: 16oz PIcahna steak (shared) Fried Potatoes (shared) Of course the wine was Malbec which paired so perfectly with all the amazing food. I am not going to go through each item other than saying everything was 'over the top' delicious. My friend said to me that once you've had Buenas Aires Beef you'll never forget the amazing flavor. Even through my wife likes her meat more on the well side, it retained the tenderness and unbelievable flavor. There is definitely a reason that a place like this become a Michelin Restaurant. Cabaña Las Lilas is flawless and judging from the look on the faces of the other diners around us.... They thought so too. Please see the pictures I added. Many people shared as the portions are very generous. KUDOS to the team at Cabaña Las Lilas

While this place has been here since 1962, the first time I came was in 1993. I love it here because it is a classic, old-school restaurant, between the decor, the waiters and the grill as you walk in. The service has gone downhill a bit over the last couple of years, but I find that if you connect with your waiter when you finally get him to your table, he will check on you more often. They have a great wine list as well. The steaks are some of the best I have had, and I love that they bring your steak on a steel plate over a charcoal fire- do not let them take the grill- I love putting the fat on there to render away and then ladle it over my steak- so much better than butter! The fries are to die for, as is the Morcilla- so good and creamy- if you like that! I am usually too full for dessert, but I recently had their ice cream- so good and creamy!

We started off with a basket of warm house bread, and it came with several different types, but by far my favorite was the focaccia, which was topped with cheese and herbs and had a lightly salty flavor! All the breads went nicely with the ramekin of sauce on the side, which our waiter described as homemade "mayonnaise." Next, we had the Silo Pampeano salad, made of quinoa, roasted almont, goat cheese, arugula pesto, and fresh arugula. The salad was nothing fancy, but dressed with a little olive oil and vinegar, made for a really refreshing yet hearty dish. Finally, we tried the Milanga Pampeana, which was a thinly-pounded slice of deer meat, which was then breaded and fried, served over fried slices of sweet potato and a side of Mendozan tomatican, which was a mixture of egg, tomatoes, onions, and peppers cooked in a small iron skillet. While the deer meat had a nice gamey flavor, parts of it were a bit tough, and there was way too much greasy breading, given how thin the slice of meat was! However, it was tasty nevertheless, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back to try more of the menu. The standout of this restaurant to me, however, was the service--there was only one waiter manning the entire restaurant, but he was so kind, attentive, friendly, and helpful! Great experience, and great value!
