I ordered the Cameron ajillo to switch it up and the flavor was bland. My sister ordered mote pillo with steak and my mom ordered hornado with mote. Everyone's dish was good/average, I just know what to expect flavor wise in these dishes and I was not blown away. My family and I are Ecuadorian btw :) I've eaten at many Ecuadorian restaurants and also grew up with these dishes. I am giving this place 4 stars because of the staff! Top tier customer service!

Food Karaage- Juicy and flavorful and perfectly crispy. Tuna Tempura- not crispy as all.Flavor was good though. Yuzu Lamb chops- 3 basic but perfectly cooked chops.i did not taste any yuzu or miso as described. The soy sauce probably overpowered the flavors. The edamame mash potatoes served on the side were amazing, creamy with an umami flavor. Saki Miso Bronzino- Well cooked and mild miso flavor. Fried rice-Good flavor and was able to get it with a side of chicken. Chipotle Teriyaki chicken- Well cooked and flavorful. Did not get the chipotle flavors. Drinks Sakura-Perfect balance of fruity and floral, refreshing for the summer. Lit-chee sangria- Good but barely any lychee flavor. No seasonal fruit was served with it, as mentioned on the menu. Food is pricey for the portion size. Not an extensive menu.

Upon arriving, we were greeted and sat instantly, to which I requested window seating. It was a nice view with a lovely aesthetic, perfect for pictures. We ordered appetizers, Wagyu Sliders which came out pretty fast. They were hot, and tasty. But at a $24 price point a bit pricey for the size of them. While waiting for our entrees, a live show started and it was a bit overwhelming. The music was extremely loud, we couldn't hear each other speaking and it made the experience quite unpleasant for both of us. The show lasted around 30 minutes. Our entrees arrived and were underwhelming to say the least. My partner got the steak and I got the chicken teriyaki. The chicken teriyaki was cold, the rice was mushy, and they gave the smallest amount of sweet potatoes. The chicken was bland, the sauce was minimal and didn't help it to taste better. I did not finish my food and left hungry. My partner complained the steak was a bit dry also. Both portion sizes were small as well. While being overwhelmed by the music I didn't complain about the food at first, but after paying the bill I thought it best to just notify management about the experience, not looking for a refund but just to explain our dissatisfaction. The manager was super nice and offered to remake the food or a refund for my plate, which I hesitated on but ultimately accepted. Overall, the service is pretty good. The food had potential. But the show was really loud and made us rush out of there. I give 3 stars for good service, the appetizer that was fresh and hot, and the service from everyone on the team.

Today, I finally got a chance to go, and placed a takeout order. Bolivian Saltenas are similar to empanadas, except slightly larger and filled with a more liquidy stew-like filling. I got the chicken and beef versions to try. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed. It actually reminded me of a chicken/beef pot pie but in a baked dumpling form. What went wrong: -- First, they got my order wrong. I ordered 2 chicken and 2 beef Saltenas but got 1 chicken and 2 beef. I didn't realize this until I got home. -- I find these a little overpriced. $6.75 each is a little steep IMO, for what you get. For the same price, I could have gotten two delicious empanadas elsewhere. -- Both of my Saltenas were slightly burnt. -- I felt kind of Jypped since there was absolutely no green sauce nor any other sauce included. @ $6.75 each it's disappointing that the sauces were excluded. -- Both the chicken and beef fillings tasted blah; kinda bland & boring. The chicken and beef actually tasted the same. Go figure! Absolutely nothing special about them. Maybe the missing sauces would have helped? I'll never know. lol Well, I guess I can scratch Bolivian Llama Party off my list of places to go. Curiosity satisfied. Note: no inside seating but there are a few tables available for outside dining. Order at the window for takeout orders.

I'm not going to pretend that I am the best person to determine what an authentic Colombian experience is (never had the pleasure of visiting Colombia), but if this isn't it, I can't imagine what they're missing. The staff speaks to you in Spanish exclusively, which made me glad one of my boys is Honduran. The TVs all over the place are playing what appear to be Colombian music videos that were made in the 80s featuring old men and attractive young women. They've got buckets of Colombian beer and frosted mugs so cold that the beer turned to slush around the sides. They've got a platter called the Bandeja la Berraca that consists of rice, beans, steak, plantains, eggs, avocado salad, little corn cakes, blood sausage, other sausage (amazing), and a giant side of chicharron. Eat and drink to you're bursting, while adorable Colombian kids run around the place. And rejoice that you live in NYC, where these things can be had.

For about 20 minutes we were the only ones there (party of 6) Then other diners trickled in, and our attentive service didn't change. Our servers even came over to take group pics for us. Very pleasant experience overall, will definitely return. Great fro groups and especially if you have people with you who don't like the same kinds of food. I asked the hostess if we could do it and she said, yes. We were seated, then we waited, and waited, and waited for a waitress to come to us but no one did. Not even to give us water. There was a woman walking around not doing anything; she seemed to be a waitress. She would look at us but kept wondering aimlessly. There was a waitress at the bar having a casual conversation. So around 3:56 I told my friend we were leaving. 10 min of just sitting there. If they didn't want to do the brunch due to timing then that could've been communicated. As we were leaving I stopped to put my coat on and the hostess is just there having a conversation; she didn't bother asking us why we were leaving. You would think if you just sat a party and you see them leaving, as hostess you would be curious but no. We went right to Fushimi where we were well recieved and had a great time!

When the order arrived, I was shocked to find zero sauces or salad dressing included. Thinking it was a mistake, I called the restaurant to ask what happened. Turns out they just don't include sauces. For the empanadas, you have to pay extra, 2 for $1. For the salad, you have to specifically request dressing in the notes. Are you serious? So many restaurants in this neighborhood include sauces and dressing so you actually have what you need for a complete meal. It's like charging for ketchup with your fries. The person I spoke with was completely matter of fact about it, saying it's Grubhub's policy, same as utensils. That's ridiculous, especially given how often I use Grubhub and order from restaurants all over the neighborhood. The food itself was fine, but between the cheapness and the lack of care, I won't be ordering from here again.
