I requested quotes on Yelp and El Dorado Roofing contacted me immediately. Jordy Sanchez was in contact via text and came out to look at a leaking skylight. I was impressed with the company's responsiveness and Jordy's professionalism and honesty. I was so impressed I immediately referred the company to a friend who has a leak and is looking for a roofer. I'm waiting to hear back from my landlord on next steps. If we move forward and get the company to do the work, I'll update my post. A+ on service, responsiveness and professionalism. read more

Scheduled for two Thursday's ago and the lady that answered the phone was very nice. Then they cancelled and rescheduled to Saturday. They didn't show up or answer their phone all Saturday morning. No apologies or calls or anything. Now the tenant is mad at me. read more

Workmanship, outstanding, couldn't ask for a better crew. They were quick and speedy once the work started. I had a new roof put in by El Dorado. They came out, took the old roof off on day one, they did most of the repairs on day two and finished on the third. All the workers kept the area clean and hauled all the junk away. All thumbs up. Their communications need a little work. It was a little painful getting in touch after the estimate. I had a pretty hard time putting myself on the schedule, confirming things. It was very tough getting in touch with the office as they were only messages. Other than that, excellent work so far. read more

I had a good experience with Marcos Hernandez at El Dorado when they replaced my 30 year old roof back in 2019. So far no issues with the new roof. read more

Poor customer service. I got their name from Angi, requesting an estimate for a roof. They texted back they'd get back to me to setup a visit. Since that text I've had 5 other contractors in to evaluate my roof. If a contractor makes an appointment and misses it with no call or text, there will be no second chance. It is the first sign of trouble! read more

Staff is highly responsive in Yelp replies, but not with phone calls or even scheduling someone to come over to see if they could help us with repair. One of the roofer employees was nice enough to give us his phone number to call, but we were only able to get ahold him 2x...just to ask him to go over and help with us a leak repair in the kitchen. It's been 3 weeks and no one's scheduled a roofer to come over. Not sure how other people are faring. read more

Poor customer service. No show on the starting date even though I called two days before to confirm it. They didn't pick up the phone or respond to my voice mail. I was told the owner was out of town, and everything seems to be falling apart while he is gone! I wonder if the owner is really aware of how awful things are at his company. I used their services about a year ago for my rental property and it was good. Sadly right now, I wouldn't recommend them, a complete waste of time. read more

the job done last year was incomplete. I went back to them telling it doesnt look right and now I can see my roof wall shows a bigger damage then before. They were suppose to follow up but no respond. I am going to review this as 1 star as a very poor job was done and im not getting any help back. Very poor customer service. Please avoid read more

Marcos, the crew, as well as the office staff were beyond amazing! I requested quotes on Yelp for fixing several areas of dry rot on the eves of my home as well as fixing or possibly replacing my gutters. El Dorado Roofing contacted me immediately. I then spoke to Marcos over the phone and scheduled a consultation with him for the very next day. He was extremely professional, friendly, on time, helpful and very knowledgeable with what needed to be done. He addressed all my concerns and sent out a quote that afternoon. Their pricing was very reasonable and in line with another quote I had received a while back. What I really appreciated is that Marcos was honest and gave me his professional opinion on certain gutters that were actually still good and didn't need to be replaced except for the downspout. I did have a few other companies come out to give a quote for the job which those other companies ended up being double the cost if not more for the same project. In the end, I decided to go with El Dorado Roofing and I'm so glad I did! Spoke to Marcos again after signing the quote and he and his crew started the job the very next day! They showed up on time, took the necessary precautions with wearing masks, were professional and efficient with getting the project done. It took 2 days to complete and Marcos checked in along the way. His communication was top notch! If I had a question, I was able to get a hold of him right away and he kept me in the loop on timing with my project. Each day after the crew was finished, they cleaned up everything which was also very nice. If I could give them 10 stars, I would! I HIGHLY recommend El Dorado Roofing for your next project. You can't go wrong with them and I will definitely be hiring them again if I ever need any more work done and/or when it's time to get a new roof. Thank you Marcos for such a wonderful experience and for all your help. I appreciate it. read more

They redid the gutter and it did not drain, plus the damage while trying to get the job done. Do not recommend.

Orlando, the owner, got in touch and sent a crew out within a few days. They identified an issue which they promptly fixed. Hoping the roof will perform well in a big rain storm . read more

Missed the meeting. Wasted my time. Not even a phone call. I missed another appointment because I booked this one. The lady on the phone is nice and she apologized and said it was an emergency. I guess the emergency was that they lost their phone? She's not the one to blame. It's the person who was supposed to come by my house. Not even a phone call. read more

I am so grateful to have their help with replacing my ridge tiles and pipe seat seals. Marcos gave us a good price for the work. He just proposed the repairs that needed to be done. Other roofers proposed replacing the pipe seats instead of just re-sealing them. That would have cost a fortune (required removing solar panels). The fall is very busy for them! I had to pester them to get on their schedule. We are so grateful to have this work done & to have paid a fair price. read more

Marcos, Orlando, and Karla are a great team. From other reviews, it looks like they are on fire - and I'm happy for them. Very responsive and helpful. They came all the way to Marin to give us an estimate and tarp the leaky roof while we waited for the rain to subside for replacement. They also worked with me via the iphone - so I could oversee a roof replacement long distance. They sent pics of the permit, progress pics, and finished product pics (it looks amazing). So if you have a business trip - this company can replace your roof and keep you in the loop while you're away. They also fit my house in during rainy season. Thank you! Marcos has the right personality for this business, and he has a calming way of communicating. I think the best part was that they are really quick to answer the phone, text you back, etc. So refreshing to find people who understand the importance of customer service and communication. 5 stars. My only tiny complaint is they were too busy to send the final bill - lol. I had to send a few reminders. Please cash my check when you get it guys - if I see that money in my account for too long, I'll start getting spending ideas - read more

Amazing experience with these guys. They do take a little to respond because they are so busy, but all in all amazing work and great prices. I got quotes from everyone and these were the best. The quality of their work is impeccable. read more

Have a Roof leak after Oct 24th 2021 Storm! Called El Dorado Roofing per Yelp Reviews! Responded and sent a person out to inspect! Said wasn't too big of a job and gave me an estimate and also one for gutter cleaning. After accepting estimates and several emails, texts they said couldn't do job until late December! What???? Horrible Customer Service! Don't waste your time if you have a roof leak that needs attention before more damage is done by rain! read more

Marcos came out on time and gave me a competitive bid on my house. After many other bids we went with El Dorado and I am glad we did. Their roofers were polite, efficient and technically proficient. The price of the quote never changed and there 20 year warranty is one of the better warranties out there. They also replaced the gutters. A small, local company that offers excellent service. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Save yourself the headache. I had previously posted a favorable review at the prompting of El Dorado's salesman. The job went smoothly and I assumed I had received quality materials and workmanship. Since then, my two-year-old $44,000 roof El Dorado installed has leaked in three areas, causing water damage and rotting to lumber. For half a year I have been asking the owner to be accountable. I had to contact the California Contractor's State Licensing Board (CCSLB) and file a formal complaint, and now hire a law firm with whom I will begin the required mediation, arbitration, and, I suspect, ultimately, litigation. I spoke to the CCSLB's "expert witness" contractor who inspects claims made against contractors for the board and they asked for the name of the roofing company. When I mentioned the name the rep said, "Oh, yikes, we get a lot of calls about jobs they have done." read more

At first I was excited about this business. Dan S. came for a quote promptly and quoted a good price. After that, they fell off the face of the earth. Calls to their office would not be returned. I reached out to Dan S multiple times, and I thought I had the job schedule only to have them not show up. Repeated attempts to reach out were unanswered. To be fair, my job was on the smaller side, but I would rather have them tell me they weren't going to do it instead of just going silent. read more

Same issue they never follow up with my emails or quote. They might be very busy . Will keep looking for other options. They did came and gave a quote for the service but after that the communication just STOP with this guys. read more

Start out responsive then...you get ghosted. If you are too busy...set some expectations. Being non responsive is bad for business.

I gotta say, these guys, Orlando, Marcos and crew are amazing! They are efficient, clean, fast and super friendly! The respect they showed me and my family while replacing our roof was the best I have ever seen from a contractor. And I use a lot of contractors. Their professionalism and courtesy were very much appreciated! My roof looks amazing and it was like I blinked and they were finished. Went above and beyond with my gutters, down spouts and even helped me with loading up a few things I have been needing to get to the dumps. I am in the construction line of work and have come across a lot of roofing contractors, and their is no one else I would recommend for the job. Thank you guys, very much. Today I had a new flat roof installed , I picked TPO roof with 1 inch insulation as it white and long lasting . I called the office about a week ago, she told me Orlando will call back and he did after 10 min to give me a quote . He also came by to look at the roof and said the team will come on Saturday . Today at 7 AM the team was on my roof tearing the old one and install the TPO . It was nice to see a contractor come on time and keep the price they quoted and Orlando is very professional and a nice man I will defiantly contact again for my other properties . read more

Requested for a quote: came by unannounced. No appointment confirmation. Show up randomly. Ask for a hood vent installation quote. Said will text quote later, 3 days later call back and asked. Dispatch says they are working on it. A week later nothing. This flaky now, how do I expect anything else from you later. No thanks. read more

This review is for their customer service only. I don't know how good or bad their workmanship is since I never received the bid that they told me they would get to me on 2 different occasions. If you are not going to do what you say, more than once, then others should know that is how you operate. I hate to write bad reviews but that was my experience with El Dorado Roofing. read more

El Dorado was one of many I contacted after a big rainstorm and a leak. They were knowledgeable, responsive and prompt.

Dan and his team were spectacular to work with. We were referred to him by our realtor and upon reaching out to him he knew who we were & what we were looking for. He came out to our home gave us a quote within 24 hours. Upon communicating that we wanted to proceed Dan was able to squeeze us into the schedule for both a removal of two layers & install of a new roof. His team worked 4 days straight - 8am-5pm, including over a weekend! They were polite, cleaned up daily, and extremely dedicated. El Dorado Roofing was soo timely, efficient , attention to detail very Polite & Respectful. When starting to look for a Company I did take about 4 quotes before I made my decision. Looking at the bids I looked for warranty on workmanship & warranty on Shingles. They showed up on time & they would leave my area around my house so clean with no Derbi around my house. My house looks amazing and I recommend them HATS DOWN !!!!!! read more

Orlando came out and looked at the porch that needed a new roof. Made a great recommendation to solve an almost no slope roof problem. Same type of long warranty, but with different material and installation work. Our new membrane roof was installed along with new gutters. Every day they left the grounds spotless, and kept the front gate closed so our dog would not get out. The guys worked hard on the roof as our 95 lbs dog kept an eye on them from below. By the time the job was done both the workers and dog were good friends. As for my wife and I we can't say enough good things about the work, workers, and how fast they did their job. Thanks Orlando & Team read more

I contacted El Dorado Roofing because I had a rotting fascia board that needed to be replaced. They got back to me immediately and said they would be glad to help out when they had an upcoming job in my area. This wasn't a problem because it was not an urgent job. I appreciate greatly El Dorado's quick response to my request. Other companies I contacted said the job was too small so I also appreciate El Dorado's work to fit me into the schedule. read more

Orlando and team replied to me when no one else would . They came out, took a look at the repair needed for our gutter, were super polite, and gave me an estimate on the spot. I had another company estimate come in 1.5x higher than Orlando's, so his price was definitely fair! They fixed our gutter as soon as they had an opening in their schedule, did great work, and completed it within a few hours, while ensuring they cleaned up all in their wake. Would definitely recommend. read more

Orlando and his crew were amazing. We recently purchased our 1st home that was in need of a new roof. He was quick to come out and give us a very fair price on the roof. Can't thank these guys enough for how thankful the job turned out. read more

El Dorado was by far the most responsive of all the roofing companies we contacted and came out to our house to take pictures within a week of first contact. Other companies wouldn't get there for weeks or, in some cases, months. We ultimately went with the roofer who had done the inspection for the sale of the house, since he has more knowledge of the problems. But El Dorado is on our shortlist for the next major work we do. Really appreciated the communication. read more
