More stars! I need more stars! Leo came this morning between 9 and 9:30 to clean my new roof gutters. I was up before he came and was able to get my exercises and ablutions done. Just as I finished putting on my jeans and a sweater he rang the doorbell, having finished the job. He greeted me w/ a big smile, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, a Christmas card and hugs. He is the sweetest guy and his work is wonderful! When I asked what I owed him he said nothing, that the first one was on him. I was astonished and touched. You just have to go with Roof Proofing if you want a reasonable solution to your roofing problems. I had a minor issue with my roof. All other companies wanted me to take out all the old tiles and replace them with new ones, which would have cost me $30K to $45K. Then Daniel from Roof Proofing came to inspect. We needed a new roof and were having the hardest find trying to find a good contractor to do give us a "reasonable" estimate. We saw a neighbor getting a new roof and asked the workers if the owner of the company would give us an estimate. He came the same day and we were very happy with the quote we received. Two weeks later the crew arrived. Day 1 was removal of the previous roofs (yes multiple layers), fix some dry rot and fix some rotted facia. Day 2 was finish repairs, the underlayment, shields, edges, etc. Day 3 was install the shingles. The crew was very nice, quiet (no yelling at each other, etc) and clean. Leo is outstanding. It's great to deal with a contractor who is responsive to calls, arrives as promised, does quality work, and cleans up afterwards. I first used Roof Proofing to resolve 3 different problem areas on my 37 year old tile roof. I was surprised that so much tile required removal to get at these area but it was obvious that the issues were worse than I realized. I also had his crew clean my roof and was delighted at how nice it looked afterwards. The quality of this work encouraged me to ask for a quote to replace my rain gutters. One of the disadvantages of owing a house with other than a plain box shape is that rain gutters become complicated. In spite of this I was able to get a quote that didn't give me a heart attack and a promise to fit me in soon. This work seemed expensive [but consider I'm long retired on a fixed income- everything seems expensive!]. After noting how many workers were working so long and hard to get this completed I feel that I was given a good value for what appears to be excellent work. We went with them after shopping around to four other places. Their price was markedly better than others. The thing that made me go with them was all of the good reviews​people had stated that they had great customer experience with them that they had even bought them flowers and wine when they closed the deal so I really felt like this place cared about customer experience. BUT that was not the experience we had. They were fast setting appointment and they even offered to haul away some bags of yard trash that we were going to put out for a bulk trash pick up. But daily I was finding all of their trash in the backyard, and the more upsetting aspect of things was one of their people was​ tearing down a dilapidated overhang, And it dropped and broke a garden trellis that I had made for my vegetables, and smashed my plants breaking the main trunk of a large tomato plant! and they did not even bother to tell me they broke it, and they did nothing to fix it. My father-in-law had to call them and tell them what they had done and then they came to apologize, but still did nothing to make up for it. Sorrys do not fix the broken trellis. I had to come up with a makeshift way to fix it and it's still that way because nobody bothered to make it right. The last day I went into the backyard after they had left, to find that they had left all kinds of materials behind, glues, spray paints, old brackets, trimmed gutters, it was just not very professional at all. So I will say that in their availability they were very good, The roof itself we had one leak in the gutter system on the first rain and they sent somebody out to deal with that.I just do not know that I am very happy overall I feel like the installers really dropped the ball. They took down the old satellite dishes that were up on the roof from previous owners, and they were just thrown in my backyard I had to throw them out in the front yard just so that they would take them! read more

We couldn't be happier with our experience with Roof Proofing. We called this morning to see if they could look at a leak that had developed and at least put a tarp over it until the weather got better. Daniel said they could be there in about an hour. He and Leonel showed up on time as promised and quickly assessed the problem on our tile roof. They determined that it was a quick fix and said that since it wouldn't take them more than about 20 minutes to fix it that there would be no charge! Who does that?! We noticed a water damage on our ceiling. Called in a water damage company to have it taken care of. After the repairs, they suggested us to contact a roofer for inspection. We contacted a couple of companies. Some of them will not be able to come for a couple of weeks, we set up an appointment with one but he did not show up. We ended up on calling Roof Proofing of Vallejo, an appointment was made. Daniel Cortez arrived at the set-up time, inspected and showed us pictures of the state of our roof. He explained to us what is needed to do in a clear way. He gave us a reasonable quote. There was delay in the getting the Re-Roofing Permit from the City because of the Pandemic but he kept us posted with his efforts in contacting them. Showed him the area where the leak was he looked at it asked if he could go in the attic. He looked around could not find any leaks.
