More stars! I need more stars! Leo came this morning between 9 and 9:30 to clean my new roof gutters. I was up before he came and was able to get my exercises and ablutions done. Just as I finished putting on my jeans and a sweater he rang the doorbell, having finished the job. He greeted me w/ a big smile, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, a Christmas card and hugs. He is the sweetest guy and his work is wonderful! When I asked what I owed him he said nothing, that the first one was on him. I was astonished and touched. If you need a new roof I can't recommend him highly enough. It was wonderful to be snug and dry during the recent storms. read more

We recently had our roof done by Roof Proofing, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, they were professional, friendly, and very easy to work with. The team communicated clearly every step of the way, worked efficiently, and delivered excellent results. On top of that, they gave us a very competitive deal and truly made me feel that my business was valued and appreciated. I highly recommend Leo & Daniel to anyone looking for quality roofing work with outstanding customer service. read more

You just have to go with Roof Proofing if you want a reasonable solution to your roofing problems. I had a minor issue with my roof. All other companies wanted me to take out all the old tiles and replace them with new ones, which would have cost me $30K to $45K. Then Daniel from Roof Proofing came to inspect. He insisted that I only need to replace a few tiles, clean up the debris, wash up the roof, etc. I ended up with a roof that looks new, and not having to worry about leaks, Best of all, I only pay a fraction compared to others. Not only is he honest, Daniel is very good at what he does. I highly recommend Roof Proofing. read more

Danial and Leo provide exceptional service and are incredibly honest and ethical. We had a roof leak that three previous roofers could not locate. Last year, Leo came out and patched suspected shingles but refused payment, not sure if that had done the job, but it worked. This year, I called asking if they would check to ensure we had no other issues. Danial, his brother, found another spot and repaired it at no charge. These guys are terrific, reliable, trustworthy, and talented. I could not recommend them more highly Jonathan V read more

These guys are amazing. They did a high quality job at a great price. We would highly recommend them for your roofing needs.

Roof Proofing hands down should be your only choice. Roof Proofing is family own, honest, and reasonable. Daniel, the son, will work to install the best roof in this industry. I have installed 3 roofs and Daniel is an expert in roofing including chimney and gutter expertise. read more

If I recommend a business to my personal friends, it means that I am 100% happy with the service I received. And I've recommended Daniel of "Roof Proofing LLC" to two friends who used his services. We needed a new roof and were having the hardest find trying to find a good contractor to do give us a "reasonable" estimate. We saw a neighbor getting a new roof and asked the workers if the owner of the company would give us an estimate. He came the same day and we were very happy with the quote we received. Two weeks later the crew arrived. Day 1 was removal of the previous roofs (yes multiple layers), fix some dry rot and fix some rotted facia. Day 2 was finish repairs, the underlayment, shields, edges, etc. Day 3 was install the shingles. The crew was very nice, quiet (no yelling at each other, etc) and clean. When they left, there was nothing laying around on the ground, etc. I definitely recommend this local business (they do travel across to Concord) and they are Licensed 1053033 read more

Leo is outstanding. It's great to deal with a contractor who is responsive to calls, arrives as promised, does quality work, and cleans up afterwards. I first used Roof Proofing to resolve 3 different problem areas on my 37 year old tile roof. I was surprised that so much tile required removal to get at these area but it was obvious that the issues were worse than I realized. I also had his crew clean my roof and was delighted at how nice it looked afterwards. The quality of this work encouraged me to ask for a quote to replace my rain gutters. One of the disadvantages of owing a house with other than a plain box shape is that rain gutters become complicated. In spite of this I was able to get a quote that didn't give me a heart attack and a promise to fit me in soon. This work seemed expensive [but consider I'm long retired on a fixed income- everything seems expensive!]. After noting how many workers were working so long and hard to get this completed I feel that I was given a good value for what appears to be excellent work. In addition to this Leo is very pleasant to work with. I hope I won't need his services again soon but promise you he would be my #1 guy. read more

Daniel and Roof proofing replaced the roofs on 2 buildings on our property. It was a fantastic experience for us. Daniel gave us a very competitive price and stuck to it. Earlier this month, I hired Daniel to replace the roof of my house in Berkeley. Daniel is one of the best service providers I've hired over the years for various home repair services. I'd give him 10 star if I could. Daniel is very professional, honest, trustworthy, responsive and accommodating. His cost estimate was very reasonable and among the lowest I got, and his workmanship warranty was the best among the quotes I got. He was willing to work with my budget and even did some extra work but would not charge for extra. He's very easy to work with, and communicate well with customer (me) . Since I couldn't be on site, He sent me photos and updates frequently while the job was in progress and responded to my questions promptly. he and his crew did an exceptional job within the time frame I needed the job done. After the job was completed, a minor issue was noticed and Daniel took care of it promptly without delay. I am very happy with the job and his service. I particularly appreciate Daniel's honesty and willingness to help his customer. I would definitely hire him again without hesitance and I highly recommend his service to anyone looking for roof services. thank you very much for everything, Daniel. read more

Danny and his team did a fantastic job on my house here in San Rafael. This is the third house I have been in that had a roof done and this was by far the best experience. I called on a holiday and Yelp does not allow you to get through. So, as I was looking through their page, I found the direct number and connected with Leo. He said he would stop by the same day and provide me a quote. He showed up in time and I was very impressed with his commitment to service. My gutters were in a deep need of cleaning. He took the time to tell me what's going and serviced the gutters! I am so thankful he was able to handle this for me. Definitely recommend this company!!! I see why they are highly rated. Thank you so much Leo! The service, quality, and value for the work done was amazing! Can I give him 10 stars? read more

Daniel and his crew have been very pleasant to work with. Always on time. Kept me updated on their progress daily, along with pictures to see the progress. When I had questions, Daniel would respond in a timely matter and happily answered every question I had. When they completed our roof, they went around our yard with a strong magnetic to make sure no nails were left behind. Last night, we had a downpour. No leaks and it was so quiet. We went with them after shopping around to four other places. Their price was markedly better than others. The thing that made me go with them was all of the good reviewspeople had stated that they had great customer experience with them that they had even bought them flowers and wine when they closed the deal so I really felt like this place cared about customer experience. BUT that was not the experience we had. They were fast setting appointment and they even offered to haul away some bags of yard trash that we were going to put out for a bulk trash pick up. But daily I was finding all of their trash in the backyard, and the more upsetting aspect of things was one of their people was tearing down a dilapidated overhang, And it dropped and broke a garden trellis that I had made for my vegetables, and smashed my plants breaking the main trunk of a large tomato plant! and they did not even bother to tell me they broke it, and they did nothing to fix it. My father-in-law had to call them and tell them what they had done and then they came to apologize, but still did nothing to make up for it. Sorrys do not fix the broken trellis. I had to come up with a makeshift way to fix it and it's still that way because nobody bothered to make it right. The last day I went into the backyard after they had left, to find that they had left all kinds of materials behind, glues, spray paints, old brackets, trimmed gutters, it was just not very professional at all. So I will say that in their availability they were very good, The roof itself we had one leak in the gutter system on the first rain and they sent somebody out to deal with that.I just do not know that I am very happy overall I feel like the installers really dropped the ball. They took down the old satellite dishes that were up on the roof from previous owners, and they were just thrown in my backyard I had to throw them out in the front yard just so that they would take them! read more

Leo is excellent. Honest and prompt. He is professional too. Thanks Leo your service was professional and very helpful

We couldn't be happier with our experience with Roof Proofing. We called this morning to see if they could look at a leak that had developed and at least put a tarp over it until the weather got better. Daniel said they could be there in about an hour. He and Leonel showed up on time as promised and quickly assessed the problem on our tile roof. They determined that it was a quick fix and said that since it wouldn't take them more than about 20 minutes to fix it that there would be no charge! Who does that?! We are very grateful and impressed and will definetly call them again if the need arised in the future. read more

What do I like, when I call, Daniel returns the call within a couple hours. He stands behind his work and goes the extra effort to make sure it's not just a good job but it turns out to be a GREAT job. I recommend Leo and his team 100%. When I was searching for gutter clean and repair, Most of companies took couple of days to one week to come out for estimate. Leo responded right a way and came out for free estimate the next day at 7pm. And he sent me an estimate that night with very very reasonable price compare to the estimate from other company I really appreciate for his accommodation and late work. He scheduled for my home with in a week even on Sunday. Leo and his team are very efficient and very friendly. Leo even cleaned the debris from the roof and gutter that fell in my back yard. I am so satisfied and happy with their work. Thank you. read more

We had an emergency situation where we needed immediate help once we could find a good price and when I say Roof Proofing delivered I mean they DELIVERED! Leonel wasted no time when we told them we needed help, he made sure to show us what we needed and why we needed it and answered any questions we had to make sure we understood everything. They had a great price for great material quality, started within the week we had approved to quote and made sure they covered up my roof for the rain that was to come a couple days before they could start because we had a leak we were concerned about. Leonel and his team including Daniel were quick to get started and it only took a few days for them to finish with full disclosure and the best communication throughout the process, every inspection we had with the city passed with no issues at all. This is the most reliable and trustworthy genuine company I ever could have wished to work with in our time of need most of all but honestly ANYTIME! Highly Recommend and have told my whole family and friends already, he even did my neighbors house down the street right after mine. read more

What the heck, I'll give him 5 stars. He talked to me, but referred me to a different roofer, and I respect that. He communicated, sent some pictures, and was willing to do a foam layer on top of the roof decking a concept that confuses a lot of other roofers. read more

I made an appointment via Angi for 8am on 13 Oct 22. On 13 Oct, no one showed up at 8am and no one called. I called the company at 8:45am and the person I spoke to said he would call the inspector. Naturally, I thought he would call me back but it never happened. He had his chance and perhaps they can learn from this review to keep the customer informed. I found a more reliable contractor. read more

Leo was very responsive to my call for an estimate on a roof repair involving a poor job of flashing around a skylight. We noticed a water damage on our ceiling. Called in a water damage company to have it taken care of. After the repairs, they suggested us to contact a roofer for inspection. We contacted a couple of companies. Some of them will not be able to come for a couple of weeks, we set up an appointment with one but he did not show up. We ended up on calling Roof Proofing of Vallejo, an appointment was made. Daniel Cortez arrived at the set-up time, inspected and showed us pictures of the state of our roof. He explained to us what is needed to do in a clear way. He gave us a reasonable quote. There was delay in the getting the Re-Roofing Permit from the City because of the Pandemic but he kept us posted with his efforts in contacting them. Once the permit was granted, Daniel and his crew started work. Upon completion, we again experienced delay in getting the final inspection but he diligently contacted the City and kept us posted. We will not hesitate to recommend Daniel Cortez and his business to our family, friends and acquaintances and will use him again should the need arise. Thank you, Daniel, for a job well done. Had a great experience with Daniel @ Roof Proofing. Highly recommend him and his crew. I consulted with 3 different companies on a roof project. Daniel was honest and told me that I didn't need a new roof, but recommended certain maintenance and improvements which would prolong the life of the roof as well as improve airflow. When I asked about his specific recommendations to the other "larger" roofing companies, they all confirmed that it was spot on. (But then still tried to sell me a new roof anyway!) Work done by Roof Proofing was timely and professional. Also very responsive via phone and text. I would certainly use them again at the next opportunity. read more

Excellent communication and reliability. Daniel and his brother worked on repairing our skylight that was leaking. I contacted this company to come out to see about a leak in my roof. He kept in contact through Yelp. Showed up on time I explained to him what was going on. Showed him the area where the leak was he looked at it asked if he could go in the attic. He looked around could not find any leaks. So he went on the roof and after a few minutes he took me up on the roof to show me where the leak is coming in. He told how to fix it on my own. He is. Straight up honest guy.
