Juan Escalante had the lowest bid but there was no lack of quality. Juan was honest and forthcoming about everything that needed to be done and communicated every step along the way. He was very flexible and accommodating of my requests. His crew were hardworking, professional, and very respectful of my home. I highly recommend Escalante Roofing! read more

Top notch company if I could I would give them ten stars. Highly recommend. Cleaned up the front and backyard. When they were done. The roof looks great. read more

I received a very competitive bid for the replacement of my roof from this business. The crew was on time, very courteous and left a clean work site daily. I had other construction work going on simultaneously at my house and other contractors told me they were very impressed with the quality of work that Escalante Roofing was completing. This is not the first time I have used this company. Last year when we had the wild winds, I had several shingles blow off my roof. I called Juan and he was able to come out the same day and repaired the issue because it was causing some leaking into the house. I would definitely recommend this business. read more

I had a great experience with Escalante Roofing. Being that I am a Realtor for the past 30+ years I do have relationships with roofers. Unfortunately my guys did not provide what Escalante did. My roof job is unique. Due to my solar panel system. Many people will have a deal cut by their solar installer when it comes time for a new roof. As I did. Where they will have a fixed rate to remove and install the panels for the new roof installed. In my case, my solar company is out of business. I needed a roofing company that could not only replace the roof but also have the panel removed and reinstalled. Escalante had a company that they use for this specific task. All the other bids I received they left you in the wind on this. Juan and crew did not. I will admit that this was the main reason I went with them. Now it is a no brainer. Their bid was fair. They could do 100% of my job. These guys do quality, clean, safe work. I am extremely happy with the job they did and hope to send more work their way. Thanks guy's. Great job.... read more

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of working with the company Escalante Roofing in Vallejo. We needed our entire roof replaced and they did a stellar job! The workers were professional, kept the work area clean, arrived and left promptly per their stated work hours and left the property with no sign they had been there working...other than a beautiful new roof! They were very nice and pleasant to work with and the pricing was great. They were recommended to us by our neighbor who is, himself, a contractor. I'm so glad we took his advice!! Highly recommend this company for your roofing needs. :) Edited to add: They actually left the property BETTER than they found it. We just noticed they swept our side sidewalk which we hadn't done yet. So they actually ended up cleaning up some mess that was already there. read more

I was recommend by a friend to hire Escalante roofing to replace my roof in Glen Cove. They just finished today. So far they did a great job. His quote originally came in a bit high compared to a few other places but he was willing to work with me as there was a few things I didn't need for my replacement. Everyday they showed up on time and left my property free of debris when the day was done. Juan and his crew were easy to work with. Anytime I asked the crew a question they didn't hesitate to keep me informed on their progress. I highly recommend this company. read more

Escalante Roofing company tore off my badly leaking tile roof that was 47 years old. Disposed of the heavy tile. Replaced with asphalt shingle. Did a fabulous job. They clean up the property after each days work. Juan Escalante is an honest businessman. He upgraded the venting system to code. He had a company fabricate a new saddle to seal off the chimney properly. They tore out all of the old spongy plywood. Replaced and painted new fascia boards. Placed metal trim on all the edges. They worked like dogs in the high winds ( we live on a ridge) and heat of the day. His price came in at least 20-25 % lower than three other contractors that wanted the job. He is licensed and will educate you why he is doing it a certain way. His crew... and he is there working with them... know their business. You won't be disappointed with this contractor. I have rebuilt three houses in the last twenty years. Anything and everything you can possibly do. But I won't do foundation work ... nor will I do roofing. It is just too damn hard. Worth every penny That I spent. and you know what ??? I like who Juan is. The business that he built. Good man there. I consider him to be one of the best contractors I have ever done business with... bar none. read more

Mr. Escalante and crew worked hard for several days on my roof. The day they completed the roof and I drove up in front of my house. My mouth litterally dropped open and out of my mouth the words fell out, "WOW, ITS SO BEAUTIFUL." Mr Escalente provided an estimate that was generous and competitive. I did my due diligence and got two other estimates and Escalante Roofing came in the best. Escalante Roofing had done my next door neighbors roof so I knew I would be in good hands and that Mr. Escalante and crew would take care of me. He went above and beyond for me and I am eternally grateful. Personally I think my next door neighbor and I have the best looking roofs in the neighborhood. No doubt Escalante Roofing will give you the best estimate and excellent service. Give him a call today. You wont regret it. read more

The guys at Escalante Roofing were quick, professional, and fair! With the recent rain storm, I was bummed to find out my house had a huge leak in the roof! I was so stressed because I knew it would be $$$ to fix. I contacted several roofing businesses and Escalante Roofing were the only ones that were able to get their team out that same day! The fellas were super professional and came to the house ready to go! They checked my roof and found the problem immediately. Luckily, the roof needed some minor patch work/corrections and they were able to get it done the next morning! The fellas quoted me a price that was affordable and fair! My house has the original roof from 1991 so it has ran it's course and will need to be replaced in a few years! I will definitely be calling Escalante Roofing for my future roofing needs! read more

I highly recommend Escalante roofing for any roof repairs. I contacted them the week of June 26th for a small roof repair. Within one day I received a call from both Antonio and his father. Antonio indicated that he would take a look at the scope of work and send me a proposal. He called me back two days later with his assessment and sent the quote the following day (Sunday). He completed the repair the following business day, sent me pictures of the completed work and outlined what he had done. He was professional, did an outstanding job and went above and beyond the call of duty. I highly recommend Escalante Roofing. read more

Don't expect your project to be important to them. Had an appointment with Juan at 1pm, which was rescheduled multiple times. Finally, he said he was here, I went outside, he's nowhere to be found. iMessages showed delivered, but he doesn't answer his phone and appears to have just ghosted me. I was hoping to have quotes finished this week so I could move forward with my project next week, but I guess I'll be going with the other company. If you need to cancel, just let me know so I'm not waiting by the phone. Edit: Appreciate the response. But I'm not sure what to think when I don't hear back from you until I post on yelp. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, but going to go with a different contractor instead. Thanks! read more

I don't make recommendations lightly, but after my recent experience with Juan, I wholeheartedly suggest you give him a call if you're in need of roof repair. I came home from work Wednesday evening to find a pool of water on the floor as a result of a small ceiling leak that had sprung during the day. I gave Juan a call on Thursday and he was able to schedule an appointment for Friday morning. (He was going to stop by the same day, but I had to work.) He and his crew showed up promptly at our appointment time, evaluated the situation, and said they could fix the problem right then and there; they wanted to get it done ASAP before the next rain showers moved in. Both guys were personable, professional, knowledgeable, and worked quickly to patch up the area of the roof that needed immediate attention. And the price was very reasonable considering the urgency of the situation. Go with Escalante Roofing; you won't be disappointed. read more

I would definitely recommend Escalante Roofing as Juan was great to work with and his employees did an excellent job. It was suppose to take 4 days and they finished in 3. Everybody was very professional, arrived on time and cleaned up everyday after their work. read more

Was excited and optimistic about working with Escalante. They came off as hungry and eager to work, and very personal and kind. The bid was in line with others, but I hired them on their good hearts. Boy was I wrong! After signing the contract, they disappeared onto another job without notifying me until they already had done so, delaying my job for one month. Then it grew into two months. I kept checking in with them, to see if they were ready. As we were getting ready to finally finally finally start, I had to clear up some other permit issues with the County. When I called back a week later to get them to start, they blew me off. All I'd wanted to do was to confirm that they were insured with general liability. A must for a CA Contractor. They refused to do the work. They blew me off. Turns out, they Are NOT insured with general liability. How on earth is that possible?!? Very suspect. I feel like a dodged a bullet. Having a contractor NOT have insurance is like, OMG, like Russian Roulette. If they burned my house down, or one of them was hurt on my property, my own insurance would not have paid a claim, and I could have lost everything. General Liability Insurance is serious stuff. How the farting unicorn can they not have it? Wow. So on the whole, I am relieved, but also disappointed I was wrong about their "good hearts" ha ha ha. I am also infuriated that in the middle of the Summer, I have to start at square one. Most other contractors are now booked up for the rest of the year, and my roof won't get done, and my huge 2020 CA state grant for solar panels--the whole reason I was doing the roof--won't get done. So I've lost about thirty K off Escalante's incompetence. Nope. I'm not happy. read more

From start to finish Juan and his crew were stellar. THey were timely, professional, had a reasonable price, did quality work, and cleaned well around the house at the end of each day including our neighbors. He tore off the old shingles, replaced rotten plywood and facia boards, installed a light tube skylight, and new flashings, shingles, gutters, and gutter leaf guards. I used to be a general contractor and as professional sub-contractor I put Escalante at the top. It is not very often that you get a great price and top quality work and excellent performance. read more

We had a leaky roof that was dripping down in two places in our house. We were a little panicked knowing that a lot more rain was on the way. We had been referred to Escalante Roofing by a neighbor, and not knowing any other resource we contacted Juan Escalante and team. Although their calendar was full, he came over immediately and surveyed the roof. Our roof being almost 30 years old, he highly recommended that we replace it. We were put on a priority schedule and Escalante Roofing provided a temporary solution to stop the leaks. The crew got to our job very soon thereafter and in two days replaced the roof. The team were polite, professional, trustworthy and very clean in terms of ensuring the grounds around the house were cleaned - looking better than when they had arrived quite frankly. The finished roof looks great, solid, new venting, and VERY affordable. I will highly recommend Juan and his team to anyone. Trust, quality, value and timely. What else could you ask for? Thanks Escalante Roofing. read more

Just re-roofed our 31 year old house through Escalante Roofing, and they did a great job. I got estimates from a handful of roofers, one was a bit lower and the others were slightly or much, much higher. I even had low ball bids from individuals who turned out to be unlicensed roofers, who I avoided doing business with. I saw Escalante Roofing doing work on my street, so I called the number on their truck. Juan came and gave me an estimate, and after looking at reviews and asking around, I decided to go with him. He's a 2nd generation roofer, his dad was the original owner. He's also hands on, he was up on the roof working and supervising. They're also local, located within a few miles from my home in Vallejo. That's handy in case of problems in the future. But I shouldn't expect any problems. I'm kinda anal about this, and watched them work every couple of from the ridge next to the house. Finally, they were clean, constantly picking up their trash and left my yard and driveway better looking than when they started. read more

Thank you Juan for installing new gutter on my entire house. Your crew did an amazing job. It was a small quick job he knocked it out and didn't flake. The next time I called them they did a complete re roof on my mothers house. Repairs were made to the dry rot did a great job knocked the whole job out in 2 days every cut and course of shingles just looks perfect, I didn't find any trash or nails when they left! The price was right too. good price, clean work, honest guys, they actually call you back and show up! Can't go wrong with these guys. read more
