The guac was definitely my favorite. So flavorful and fresh! The salsa was delicious but a little extra spicy and the queso was yummy! I ordered a cup of the green chile pork stew and it was spicy but delicious, a little light on the pork but very good. I got the Rita Moreno three chicken enchiladas with green chile. Best chicken enchiladas I've had in a long time! The chicken was moist and had just the right amount. Excellent flavor and melted cheese. The rice and beans were very bland. My friend got the chicken mole and got light sauce but she wished she had got the full sauce because it was that good! The whipped potatoes and sautéed veggies were the perfect accompaniment. The sauce was very spicy (I love spice so no big deal for me). I wasn't a big fan of the flavor so I switched to the green side. The sauce had a decent amount of spice but way more flavorful IMO. The tiny rice scoop was decent, but again, all this food was barely warm. The waiter came by once to say sorry about the beans but a random hotel/restaurant guest that was muttering something incoherently prevented me from being able to get a refill of my soda. By the time the waiter checked in again I was over it and asked for my check. I guess I could say the appetiser met expectation but would have been much better had the guac been made to order. With all the hype this place got I expected more. There is a bar and a gift shop connected to it and a historic hotel where apparently come famous people stayed long ago. For entrees we had the meatball linguine and the chicken Parmesan- meatballs are house- made and were so flavorful, chicken on the parm was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Entrees are served with a side salad and their ranch was to die for- so thick and creamy. For dessert we had the chocolate gelato, which was the cherry on top of the meal. Yum! The place stayed busy until we left around 8 - a big party was waiting to be sat. The staff are very hard workers - they were busting their butts all over the restaurant for the duration of our meal. When I checked the pizza, it was clearly undercooked, so we sent it back. We expected it to come back properly cooked, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. When the pizza was brought out the second time, it was still doughy and undercooked. I took photos of it, and they show multiple different slices--all of which had the same raw, gummy texture across the entire slice. This was not just one bad piece. Because of this, we didn't even get a chance to actually eat the pizza. That was our dinner, and we ended up leaving without being able to eat it. What made the situation worse was how it was handled. The manager insisted it was "ranch sauce" and claimed the pizza was cooked thoroughly, which is simply not accurate based on both the texture and appearance. I was also told I was the only person to complain, as if that somehow made the issue invalid. Regardless, we were served undercooked food--twice. They offered a $5 discount on a $21 pizza that we couldn't even eat, which did not feel like a fair resolution. Very disappointing experience overall--not just because of the food, but because the issue was dismissed instead of taken seriously.
