Love this place. I want to retire here. We stayed in the largest trailer (12) for three days - nice and comfy. Hanging in the lodge is nice with fire and records. Can't wait to return. read more

One word, LOVE. It's not your regular camping site. You have the option of sleeping in tents provided or you bring your own, or trailers provided. They also have restooms and showers (w hot water), however its not totally private. Wifi is scarce out there, you connect only if you are close to the main building. But it's beautiful. Everything is beautiful. read more

Luv luv luv. I want to live here please. My friend and I stayed in the big Airstream, which is nicely decorated and was just a wonderful place to be, both inside and on the deck. We were there on a Wednesday night in September, so the place was pretty quiet, only a few other guests as far as I could tell. Staff was friendly and helpful, and even just hanging out in the lobby is lovely. I really wish I'd had more time there. I don't know when I'll be in Texas again, but when I am.... I'm comin' back. read more

Best stay ever. We stayed in the camper 2 nights, and a yurt the other two nights. I have never felt more relaxed in my life. The whole town has a slow pace, and it's incredibly refreshing. The bathrooms are clean including the outdoor setup. There is a lot of privacy if you want it, and you have the option to meet the neighbors if you want as well. I really can't say enough how much I loved this vacation. The only thing I would mention is that the local restaraunts are slightly expensive, so plan to make some of your food to save money. read more

Absolutely magical. Next time I'll book further in advance for a tee pee, but the trailor and the safari tents were also amazing. read more

My boyfriend and I were planning on making it a tradition to travel here from Central Texas once a year but after the second time, we will probably just stay at an AirBnb. I love the concept and the experience of El Cosmico, but both times I have went, the staff was not friendly with us. The times when I went to the front desk whether to check in, buy something, check out, etc. I always felt like I was a bother to the staff. We managed to ignore it and give them the benefit of the doubt the first trip, but after the second time, it was clear that the unfriendly vibes were still there. I recommend definitely going if you haven't gone before, but get ready to drop some money on this place without the luxury of an attentive staff and no complimentary breakfast. read more

I was not sure what to expect when we decided to stay at Cosmico. I must say I was very pleasantly surprised at how peaceful and safe it was here. We chose to camp in our own tent that we brought. Reasonable rate at 20$ a night. They have warm showers and sinks for you to use. I would definitely stay here again if ever in the area. Very cool place and very relaxing! read more

This place was great. Friendly service, fair prices, amazing views, and a hammock grove. That's right: Hammock. Grove. My girlfriend was delighted. Falling asleep with a book over my eyes while getting sunburned was a fantastic experience I won't forget. This place was everything we wanted and expected out of our trip to Marfa, and made for the perfect first stop. The next time we go to Marfa, we are absolutely staying here again. The gift shop is a little pricey though. $25 for a paper poster? Get that out of here. But yes! Stay here! It's a great place. Next time we're getting a teepee. read more

There were things I loved about El Cosmico, and things that I didn't love. I was on the fence between 3 and 4 stars. I chose 4 because I really did enjoy my time there. We stayed one night in Teepee #2. Things you should know: The price point for staying here comfortably is UPPER middle class. I understand it's hip, and that a lot of thought and planning went into this place, but it is almost prohibitively expensive. I also understand it's probably not aimed at someone with my income. The gift shop prices range from laughable, to reasonable. A pair of tweezers I have on my key chain for 9$ sold for $25 in the gift shop. Again, I understand this is marketed towards people who have a large disposable income. If you are not used to pretentious attitudes, you may feel uncomfortable. I hail from Austin, Tx, so everything felt familiar to me. You should also know that the amenities are spartan, but that is also part of the charm. I personally enjoyed the outdoor shower and bathroom. It is part of the experience, and having a cool breeze on my bum was a-okay with me. You are in the desert, it's dusty and hot. You're teepee or tent is going to be dusty and hot. No, you cannot lock your things up in the aforementioned. I didn't leave anything of value in my tent when I wasn't there, but I don't bring a lot of crap on trips either. We had a dog, so no worries about safety. The ugly: I write this with full knowledge it is such a first world problem, that it's humorous to type. The fireplace in our teepee did not work. I followed the instructions, and I tried for over an hour to get it started. You couldn't even hear the gas, or smell it. Our travel partners in the other tent at least had gas flow. I'm not an idiot, and I have operated numerous gas fireplaces in my life. It didn't work, period. When we informed the woman working the gift shop the next morning, she was adamant that we were doing it incorrectly, and had a "too bad so sad" attitude. Her tone was condescending. She also suggested we should have called the EMERGENCY number to resolve this the evening prior. After we were told the previous day it was only for emergencies only. In my world, a fireplace not working is not an emergency....but I also wouldn't pay $25 for tweezers, so perceptions may be skewed. For $180 for one night, for a teepee, I would have like maybe a little sympathy, or an ounce of concern. Like maybe, check that out? The good: This place is totes cute, and has charm by the truck load! We enjoyed the atmosphere so much. It felt like Austin before people tried to make Austin feel like Austin...which will only make sense if you've lived in Austin over 10 years. The lighted path was great at night, the view of the stars was amazing. The communal kitchen is really cool, a good place to meet new people...many of which had an inflated sense of self importance, but I digress. The hammock grove was a perfect place to grab a drink with travel buddies. I did enjoy the complementary coffee in the morning, tasted like Joes, probably was as both are owned by the same person. I loved that they were dog friendly, and even had a small goody bag for the pup. El Cosmico was my favorite part of Marfa. We will come back, but probably either pitch our own tent, or rent a safari tent. If you have a disposable income, are cool with roughing it style glamping, and just want some hella good chill time and photo taking, this is your place. read more

Comparing el cosmico to a regular campsite its scores very highly, great services nice mood and the staff were very helpful. However, staying in a trailer cost the same as a nice hotel... Your paying for the novelty, very overpriced in my view so I would not recommend them but I would recommend the camp site as a whole. read more

Wow! That sums it up. However, I must add more because otherwise Yelp says it's a tip not a review. My tip: come here. My review: great location. Amazing and ever expanding space. Yeah YOLO... . It's almost spiritual at night. I'm from the city so we really can't see the stars. We originally wanted to sleep in a Teepee but they sold out so we upgraded to a double wide trailer with AC. So glad we did. The AC was convenient at first because it was hot. But it went out in the mid afternoon. Didn't really matter cause it got super cold at night. Thanks Texas. Theres A lot to do on the actual grounds but I think just relaxing was the best part. Some helpful tips: I think the Marfa lights are a little overrated. I get the interest and wonder but it wasn't what I expected it to be. It's less than 10 min out east and the Prada store is far like 45 min west the other way towards El Paso. read more

A truly magical place in the desert lands of Marfa. We stayed in a teepee one night - warm even in the February chills - and a camper for two (we would have happily moved another night to try the yurt but alas they were all taken, no surprise!). We reserved the Kozy Coach which inspired us to dream of the day we would have our own. Occupying that simple, chic space had us thinking we could downsize our lives and live more richly. Made friends with the big fluffy cat at reception and every human we encountered was also chill and friendly. So grateful all the other places in Marfa were booked up and that we came upon this unusual hi glam camp site. I'm not sure if I'll make it back to Marfa anytime soon but if and when I do, I won't stay anywhere but El Cosmico. read more

This hotel is amazing. I have stayed at the Saint Cecilia in Austin that is a sister property to this place (its awesome) so I was excited to stay here. I wasn't sure what to expect when I learned more about the set up here, outdoor tents and showers etc. I am so glad I stayed here, this place is like no place I have ever experienced. I can't recommend this place enough and can't wait to go back. Insider tip: they have three "dutchtubs" that you can rent for about $80 for the night. I would suggest trying it at least once. read more

The Brite Building is amazing! The staff at El Cosmico was great and extremely helpful before and during our stay. The location is amazing and the building itself might be my new favorite place to stay in Marfa. The loft is HUGE - definitely would be a great space for an event or party. The bedrooms are massive and the entire place is perfectly decorated like all Bunkhouse properties. The kitchen comes equipped with dishes and cookware and there are tons of options from the "mini bar" which is more like a half stocked fridge and pantry. We loved it! And we were able to bring both of our large dogs to stay with us for $20 extra. I highly recommend this place if you have a chance to rent it! read more

I like accommodations with flavor - hostels, glamping, funky air bnb's - and I don't mind giving up some creature comforts for it, but El Cosmico I would not return to or recommend. I knew it would be rustic and the weather would likely be cold, but EC did not do the most basic things you would expect from a place that charges what they charge. Ex. I used the single-use sliver of soap next to the sink and they charged me $4 for it! WHO charges $240 a night and doesn't include the soap??? There was no dish soap for the kitchenette which is probably why the silverware looked grody. The outdoor shower had a curtain that looked like what Ariel was wearing when she washed up at Prince Eric's castle - even if it were warm enough to use an outdoor shower it wouldn't have been adequately private. The trailer had an inadequate little space heater but needed an electric blanket and a rug or two. I was given the key to the wrong trailer and housekeeping had to be radioed for service even though I used the hangtag as instructed. Overall I think EC needs to focus a little less on the twee touches like organic condoms in the minibar and more on competent service and basic needs like heat and soap. read more

Great campgrounds and trailers, rude and unhelpful staff. Overall, disappointed because it has loads of potential. So here's the deal... We stayed in the Imperial Mansion trailer. Huge, clean trailer with an oven, a bathroom, two beds, a deck.. Great place to stay that didn't feel like a dime-a-dozen hotel room. Sweaty hot during the day but was perfect at night. The deck was breezy and comfortable though even in the middle of July. My crappy experience with this place started when I got into town late on my first day because of a family emergency.... They helpfully left our keys in the trailer for us so we didn't have to worry about checking in after hours. They also left me a list of rules and regulations that rate as common sense in every other hotel I've ever stayed at: Don't smoke in the trailer or there will be a fee. Don't damage the trailer or there will be a fee. Don't steal anything from the trailer or there will be a fee. Don't check out early or we'll give you chocolate cake. Oh I'm sorry, that last part was supposed to read "there will be a fee." They told me to sign and deliver this list of instructions (with no 'thanks for staying with us!" on the form) to the office as early as possible the next morning. Sure I just drove 8 hours after a family crisis and got in at 1 am. I'll wake up at the crack of dawn and deliver these ten commandments of common sense to the front desk. So I get there and the aloof young lady at the front desk accepted the signed form and charged the bill for the rest of my stay to my card with an additional forty dollars on top of the price of two nights stay. "Wait, what's the extra forty dollars for?" I asked. "That's hotel tax." she stated with a sigh before returning to her laptop, presumably to add more to "The Gospel According to El Cosmico: Fluff Thine Own Damn Pillow". At that point it dawned on me: They do NOT operate a campground that offers a unique way to experience Marfa away from the trappings and creature comforts of a hotel; They consider themselves a hotel that is without the standard things expected at every other hotel I've ever stayed at. They do not provide soap and shampoo in their trailers. They do not offer clean towels every day as part of the standard package. For that, you have to bother the lady at the front desk sitting behind the laptop and by the time she's provided you with fresh linens her Facebook login has timed out. Gaaawwwsh! Look, I'm more than happy to pay extra for hotel tax. I'd like soap and shampoo and towels with that though plz. Thnx. Later that day we asked if she knows of a local auto mechanic because our car was having radiator trouble. "The only one I know of closed at noon. You'll have to check and see if Alpine has one open." Not "Hey, sorry to hear you're having car trouble. Let me get you a phone book or look up a few places for you to call that could help." A few hours after that we walked in asking if we could rent a few bikes. A different girl who apparently underwent a personality transplant with the previous lady said "Sure. You'll have to have them back in an hour and a half by dark though because they don't have lights on them. That'll be 20 dollars." Errrm. Whatever just put the bikes on my room. One of the bikes was broken and she didn't provide an Allen wrench with which to adjust the seat height. The lady at the Thunderbird adjusted our seats for us. Just sayin'. An hour later we come back to the front desk (by now my teeth clenched at the thought of entering the place as so far my only interaction with the staff had been to the effect of 'here's a hidden fee we didn't discuss', 'can't help ya buddy', and 'here's our half day rental fee for the bike for an hour and a half' by Servbot 5000) to purchase a bag of ice. She handed me the bag and as I said "thank you" and walked out she looked at me like I was crazy. I stopped before I reached the door and asked "You can charge this to my room like you did the bicycles, right?" "No" she said "You have to pay for those here." Clearly at this point I as entered a dimension where all courtesy and sense of logic flew out the window. Guys, I love the place but the level of hospitality has to be stepped up to match the premium you're charging people to stay here. Oh, and it'd be nice if you added verbage to the contract we're required to sign before our stay that "There are hammocks and a common area over yonder. You can rent the bikes (we had to ask) and here's a list of places to eat and get supplies locally." Cell phone service is spotty at best here, ya know. Overall; not recommended. read more

El Cosmico is not sublime. It is a dry piece of nearly treeless land with barely a piece of desert flora, a few very old trailers placed around, and some teepees and yurts erected. When we first drove by the property on our way to Chinati and saw the trailers (knowing we had booked a night here) we had a moment of complete uh-oh. Mind you, we knew the Lambert's reputation in Austin and had great respect for the hotels and restaurants and cafes there. And, we had booked the place because it was recommended (and highly touted here!), and because we LOVE old motor homes. We had expectations. Perhaps if the night had been more mild. Perhaps if it didn't cost more than we've spent for any night in any town for weeks. Perhaps if it had a place to bathe protected by the 40mph winds and 30 degree weather (which I understand isn't all that uncommon). But none of that was the case, and because of it, we were really disappointed and wanted to stay someplace else with a hot, indoor shower. We were told we couldn't get all of our money back (we were offered half, and full if someone came and stayed there that night). Fortunately, a guy who overheard our plight offered us his trailer, one of only two that has an indoor shower. What a generous guy Keith is. Not sure who he is or where he's from, but he made two ladies really happy that night by not having a hot shower. That doesn't happen every day. Thanks again, Keith!! I have to say, the people in the beautiful building who take your money and give you keys were lovely, and did what they could. I don't begrudge them. It's more that I'm surprised the Lamberts and architects put their names on this place. It could be so much more by still being "less", or minimalistic. There weren't any dishtowels or a place for trash in the trailer. The kitchen supplies were very minimal, not really enough to make anything. Though the aesthetic of the trailers are amazing, I think it's more because originally the aesthetic of these trailers were amazing. I would stay here if it was half the price, I think, but probably I would stay somewhere else next time. We did see the light in Marfa. It's an amazing little town, ghostly, decrepit, simple, beautiful and stark, with people who are genuine and true at heart. El Cosmico is trying to be that, I think, but missed the train. By the way, the train along 90 is so amazing to drive with, if you can time it. read more

As far as campsites go, this is a nice one to visit, it is about $16 a night for self camping, and more for an RV or other arrangements. They have clean restrooms, some hammocks, and an outdoor kitchen. Which was nice. One of the guest was very upset though as they had paid for a tepee, and it was going to rain, and were told the office could not do anything too close off the top or sides of the tepee. El cosmico is walking distance to the chinnati foundation as well. read more

My husband and I wanted to spend our 3 nights in Marfa at El Cosmico because of all the rave reviews we had heard about it in Austin. When we made reservations for our stay at the end of April, there was only one space available...the most expensive trailer. We took it, and booked the other 2 nights at a bed and breakfast in Marfa. Thank goodness El Cosmico was booked those other 2 nights. I am a native Texan. So were my parents. I don't brag about much in Texas, except about our friendliness to others. With that in mind, I found the staff at El Cosmico to be an embarrassment to our state. I shudder to think of people from out of state, and Texans, too, having to suffer the "too cool to work or care" attitude we encountered at this place from the extremely unfriendly, bored, and ignorant staff. The accommodations were interesting, but didn't warrant the price. The cost--$150 per night--was way out of kilter with the price for other accommodations in town. I guess I just had too many friends who grew up in dusty old Texas trailer parks to see the novelty of the place. El Cosmico does not serve food, so we asked the staff if they could recommend a place for breakfast. The staff would have you believe there really isn't anywhere to eat breakfast in Marfa. Excuse me, but Marfa has had a vibrant community long before the hipsters arrived. My husband and I found a great place to eat, once we headed into Marfa and spoke to the local, friendly folk. All of the tourist information one would expect to get at a place that charges $150/night we found at the local tourist bureau. Again, staffed by friendly local people who knew the area and the culture. read more

So don't get me wrong, El Cosmico is BEAUTIFUL! The land is amazing the set up is pretty cool, it is most def one of a kind. However, for the price my friends I thought it was a bit of a rip off. There were A LOT of things El Cosmico neglected to tell us we would need to know before we arrived so I am here to write a review that helps others. Things to know: One- Bring a sponge, they provide pots and pans but no sponge. Two- If you are picking a trailer B/C of the AC factor don't, ours broke the second day and they do not cool the whole trailer. Three- BRING A FLY SWATER. Our trailer was infested. Four- Put away all food, SO MANY ANTS here. Five- Be careful sitting on their wooden benches... some of us got splinters in places you don't want splinters. In my humble opinion El Cosmico would be best utilized for its tents, teepee's, and Yurts. The trailers are cool BUT NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Please keep that in mind when renting stuff out from here. read more

This was my first time camping, and I enjoyed it! We stayed in a safari tent. I loved the hammocks and the entire vibe of the campgrounds. But I was VERY apprehensive of the outdoor bathroom situation, especially with it being so cold and me being mildly OCD. Lol! But it was clean and the water was hot. The only tip is to stay under the warm electric blankets at night; it gets pretty cold in the tents. Would definitely come back and stay in the tepee. read more

there seems to be a common thread in all of the reviews thus far: most relaxing place ever. we chose marfa as our honeymoon destination after it came up over and over in articles and on blogs a few years ago. (when a tiny town in the middle of nowhere shows up seemingly coincidentally, it felt like we needed to pay atention). we tried to go shortly after el cosmico opened, but it wasn't in the stars for us. we finally made it down last week, and after 16 hours in the car, there is no place on earth i'd rather be. we stayed in the royal mansion the first night. it was so sleek and clean, the bed so cozy, the coffee strong, and showering in the sunshine? the best. we decided to switch to the barnstrator for the following two nights, thinking that a deck and bathtub were more up our alley. while we decided in the end that the royal mansion was our top pick for the most wonderful place we've ever stayed, you really can't beat taking a bath under the west texas sky with a stick. everything else about the place was so great- the staff were super cool, everything was so clean and well considered. it was a pretty quiet week when we were there, we'd love to be there for a festival...someday, someday. go there now, and take me with you! read more

El Cosmico is sublime. My friend and I camped on their grounds during an amazing southwest road trip. We arrived after a treacherous eight hour journey along a Mexico/US boarder road and were so relieved to find this place to be everything we had hoped. We ended up having so much fun the first day we were there we decided to re-work our tight travel schedule in order to accommodate a second night in Marfa. The grounds are so cool, somewhere between commune and campground, tents, yurts, and trailers scatter the grounds, there are people lounging in the hammocks, writing at the picnic tables and little groups coming and going. I can't even say enough about how amazing this place is. It's really one of those things that's gotta go on the "bucket list" - not just El Cos but Marfa in general, staying at El Cos just kind of completes the experience. If you do decide to stay here - keep in mind that it's no luxury experience. While we didn't stay in one of their accommodations and brought our own tent instead, it didn't seem like the yurts and trailers and what-have-you were much more glamorous, maybe just a little dryer. The bathrooms are free-standing huts with privacy but...not really. Sinks are outside, as well as extra showers. You probably won't stay very clean as it's all dirt grounds but that's really just part of the experience. Come here with an open mind - seriously. I can't stress that enough. It is such an incredible, sublime experience to be here (especially for me and my friend who were coming from big cities in the Northeast but still..). There's so much sky and the whole town is so unique (bike ride to to dinner at Miniature Rooster!!!) and beautiful and El Cosmico fits so perfectly on the outskirts of town - it's really an experience...and yeah, the bikes cost money to rent and things aren't really crazy cheap but if you spent five minutes talking to the (really nice!!) staff you'd realize that the town all together is in the middle of nowhere (See: Marfa Meltdown) and can use all the money they can get. so go out and see the world read more

You would think that El Cosmico was this enchanting, out of body experience in Marfa. El Cosmico is hyped up...it's a basic KOA campground with old school trailers, a few yurts and teepees, a dozen thick canvas tents, and an overpriced gift shop. The campground is situated off the highway so when you're laying inside your safari tent at night, you can hear the cars roar by. El Cosmico employees leave around 11 PM so when your tent neighbor comes home drunk having loud conversations, you have no one to complain to or seek help from. Don't forget, there's a cow pasture nearby so around 3 or 4 in the morning, you hear the sounds of dogs barking as they herd the "mooing" cows to pasture. The only saving grace which makes up for about 10% of what this is lacking is the semi-hot, but tasty, free coffee they serve. As you walk into the lobby near the hot fire, you make eye contact with about a dozen other poor souls who experienced the same hell you went through, but no one says a word. But this is camping, right? read more

Overly pretentious with the worst display of customer service. My friend and I came here for one night in June and we were met with two girls - a girl with long black hair who sits at the desk and hates her life and a chubby, tall, curly short-haired girl with the biggest attitude ever. I absolutely restrained myself from telling her off. Worst attitude ever. they're in hospitality and got the first step of the job wrong: be cordial. Seriously. This place was horrible. Very pretentious. Will not be staying here ever again. I don't care if Beyoncé was there. Obviously they treated her differently...who wouldn't? She's queen B read more

Wild times in the desert! There were 6 of us that went, and man is this place great. We tent-camped and the grounds and showers were fantastic. I even did a couple shots of whiskey with them. read more

El Cosmico on a whim as an overnight stop going to big bend. Perfect choice cause it's a whimsical sort of place. I have a tiny camper that I parked in the parking lot for their tent camping price. Groovy youngsters here to chill and party were great company for an old traveler. Showering under the stars is very fine as is lounging anywhere on the grounds and listening to a fantastic mix spun by a great DJ named Chris. He had the coolest old real C&W 45s and some sweet old rockers. The BBQ tacos, brisket and carne asada were delish, but overpriced. $7 tacos would make this place a 5star joint. read more

So I so so much wanted to visit marfa and see el cosmico. Cute office, check in easy. Wanted to stay in tent w futon. Tent floor dusty n dirty. Futon same. Got sheet from office to cover. My friend and I stayed in a yurt in mid-November (frigid!) and loved it. You should realize that the yurts and temples are essentially outside: the heated blanket and two or three additional wool blankets kept me warm but he complained a tad (though he complains about quite a bit...); the nighttime walk to the bathroom is cold as hell. Though you'll hear others as they camp and their dogs may wake you up in the morning it's still quieter than many motels I've stayed in. The bathrooms are unique, offer some privacy, and have a steady hot water supply. The group kitchen works better on paper: the hot plates don't work very well. You can walk to downtown restaurants and bars and the Chinati Foundation in under ten minutes. I would rather not imagine staying here in the summer. read more

Although I was excited about my whole cross country adventure with my boyfriend, El Cosmico was definitely a highlight! I wish we could have stayed more then one night. Very disappointed by this place. The website shows photos of the high plain desert and the milky way. Turns out you're off the little main road, and there's an RV park in the back. It floods when it rains. We stayed in a teepee which was overpriced, even though they are fun for a night. If I wanted to be in the outdoors and camp, I would just do that, not stay at El Cosmico. Depends on what you're into I guess. I'm not into paying more for less. It was not an authentic experience. read more

We stayed in one of the redone trailers, which was great, except we only had hot water in our shower for two minutes in the evening and two minutes in the morning. Cold showers really killed the experience, especially since they were outdoors and the trailer was $150 per night. If it were not for that, it would get five stars. read more

Loved it here. My boyfriend and I just stayed in one of the Scout tents, but it was still the best. I highly recommend El Cosmico for the not-too-finicky. Grab a cheap beer, grab a hammock, enjoy the beautiful sunshine of the southwest. (Only little problem I found was that there are only two bathrooms/showers for whole campground. There are more toilets inside the main building, but there was a shower line every morning ... not a huge deal, but just saying: could use a few more stalls...) read more

This campground is super awesome whether you are tent camping, renting out one of their RVs or staying in a yurt. I love all of it. They have an outdoor kitchen with a hot plate and a fridge, their bathrooms are clean and they have a little hammock grove. Pretty luxurious if you are used to primitive camping. They also have teepees you can stay in. I can't wait to come back. read more

Scrubby plot of dusty roadside land, offers no views of anything much and the regular drone of passing trucks. Worse are the tacky unthoughtful crap chic washing facilities, which are badly designed to be as un-eco and uncreative as possible. This place is super cute... I have no idea how my husband found it and then once he did we also thought in the Southern living magazine so we were coming out to stay at the hotel Saint George from the Condé Nast top 2017 hotels and decided to drop into el Cosmico for a night. We stayed and trailer 19 the grand mansion and it was absolutely adorable. We had a wood-burning dutch hot tub that night super cool experience and I even think I tried to buy one for my Home online! Super cute gift shop inside very close to town and very nice staff. I spoke with Travis on the phone multiple times before or stay he was very knowledgeable friendly and super helpful. Thanks I'll Kosmik out and can't wait to come back... Next time I want to check out that princess multicolored trailer so adorable! read more

I absolutely looooved El Cosmico! My boyfriend and I stayed there while in Marfa. In fact, I simply can not forgive myself for only reserving a one night stay. I'll stay much longer next time for sure. We stayed in the 'mansion.' A perfect little hide-away for two (maybe even more if you don't mind being very very cozy.) I loved the outdoor shower, even considering we visited in January, as well as the minimal yet meticulous decor. The entire experience was perfect. I would highly recommend going this route if you stay in Marfa. Don't waste the experience on any other lodging. El Cosmico is the dreamiest!
