Tonight's special was quesobirreria with rice and beans.

Service was great. Food was tasty and came out quickly. Nice clean restaurant. Stayed near there for the night and decided to try it out. Had a great dinner and prices were reasonable.

This is a combination plate of a chimichanga and chalupa.

Our server was great, but the hostess was not super friendly. She basically rushed us to a table, pointed at which one was ours, dropped the menus off as she walked by saying something we couldn't understand. The food was pretty good! The chicken was very good, but, to this day, I have never had good ground beef at a Mexican restaurant - this was no different - the ground beef was not good. Otherwise my chicken chimichanga and rice and beans were awesome! The atmosphere was also very colorful and authentic.

We always order ahead and pick up here. They make it quick and there is always so much food!! The inside is nice and has a vibe to it. The staff are very kind here as well. For peninsula mexican food, it's pretty good, lol! Come here and try it out.

Great friendly efficient service. Chicken burrito was really good, hot, fresh and tasty. Their salsa has nice flavor. Prices reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.

Tasty food and good service. Cold beer and hot plates, never disappointed. Will be back weekly.

We decided to eat here after reading some of the reviews. We barely beat the dinner rush as the place was empty when we arrived, but VERY QUICKLY filled to max occupancy. The one waitress (Victoria?) totally ran the place, and literally ran to help everyone. Even though there were others working, she took all but one order. The drinks were standard and quickly delivered, but we felt a little lost in the croud when we asked for some bean dip for our chips but didn't receive any. The food was excellent and much better than we expected it would be. I agree with Michael H. that the refried beans (so creamy) are worth going out of your way for. We will be making it part of our tradition to stop and eat here every future trip to long Beach.

Enchilada and two tacos. Very good, with excellent refried beans!

Really good food and some good service. I ordered the super burrito and was impressed with the serving size, it was the size of my forearm!

I had the #4 combo: tostada, enchiladas, tamales. YUMMY! The salsa is excellent too! I'll definitely be back.

Small but amazing food. Would definitely recommend the burritos. I like the idea of putting the menus in the glass. Recommend it a lot.

While looking over the menu of items that we could order (tacos, burrito) it was noted that prices are pretty high. Some of the tacos seemed interested and we wanted to try, but didnt want to pay $8 for one taco. We opted for a few of the chicken and pork tacos ($4/ea) and a burrito ($18). We were handed a buzzer to take with us for the wait. Once the food was ready, we were buzzed. We were thanked for our patience. The wait was approximately 35 minutes. The burrito was more long than it was wide. It was served cut in half--so approximately the size of two of the small frozen burritos you would buy at the grocery store. It was kind of like something that someone with cooking skills could make at home. So pretty homestyle, IMO. I did like the cheese crust to seal the burrito, that was creative and gave it something you wouldn't normally find and a little extra flavor and personality. The tacos were good. The food wasn't bad, just think it was expensive for what it was. Would also be better if you could have a taco plate with rice and beans for a more well rounded meal. Two chicken tacos are $8, so I think some rice and beans with it would be reasonable. I hope to see an expansion of the menu in the future--or at least all of the menu available. Overall rating 3.5

We arrived before 5:00 pm, and it took a while to even put an order in. Even though we were sitting in the bar and there were a LOT of servers/bussers/etc. We ordered the Mushroom burger, the Chicken Bacon Guac burger and the Prime Rib Dip. Let's start with the pros - the Chicken Bacon Guac burger was pretty good! But the Prime Rib Dip had something like shredded meat on it, not sliced meat. So, when you dipped it in the Au jus, chunks of meet fell into the Au jus. Be ready to fish them out with a fork! The Mushroom burger was an exceptionally thin burger. Our server asked how we wanted it cooked. But it didn't matter. A burger that thin was coming out well done, no matter what. It had mushrooms on it, but not many at all. And we ordered the Cajun Tater Tots. Tonight, it was just like someone cooked tater tots, then shook some seasoning on them, and maybe the lid fell off the seasoning? They were drenched in some kind of Cajun-adjacent spice. We had recently been telling visiting guests that the Lost Roo was the one consistent, reasonably priced restaurant on the peninsula. We're going to have to stop telling people that now. Sadly, it'll be a while before we go back.
