A good option for Mexican food in the neighborhood. There's live music in the bar area, which we plan to check out next visit.

I liked the micheladas. I'd try the Mexican sushi next time because I didn't like the cold plates I had. Maybe not my jam.

The place was packed when we arrived but we were seated in about 10 minutes. Service was fast and friendly the whole time, even with the crowd. The interior is clean and modern, with a sushi bar for seating along with a few tables. It is a smaller space so it fills up quickly and reservations are definitely a good idea, especially on weekends. Overall it is a great spot and I am already looking forward to coming back.

We were called about 5 minutes into our estimated 30-minute wait and ended up seated at the bar. That's not usually my first choice, but it turned out to be a great spot. Everything is so organized, and I loved having a front-row seat to watch how thoughtfully (and deliciously) all the ingredients were arranged and served. I'll be happy to return, and I'll absolutely be recommending this unexpected gem to others. Thank you, Yonsei, for a wonderful evening and such an enjoyable experience. I left smiling--and from the happy chatter around me, it sounded like plenty of others did too.

Came with a friends for dinner on a Sunday evening…read more It was busier than expected with most tables filled. The restaurant is open with a market like feel and a constant hustle and bustle. You order off the menu with an erasable pen which is very smart. Many Japanese restaurants (especially when ordering sashimi, nigiri, rolls) use a ton of paper for their orders. We did have a waitress but the staff helps one another running drinks and food. The food was very good, fresh and I'd definitely go back. My suggestions would be bringing the dishes out over time. We received almost everything at once and the table was very full. The bathrooms are part of Stanley and are fine. They are usually clean. The parking is shared with all the Stanley Marketplace so it depends on time/day as to how easy or hard it is to find a space.

I kept it light and fresh with the house salad, yellowtail sashimi with jalapeños, salmon sashimi, and ebi nigiri. Everything came out super fast and tasted incredibly fresh. The yellowtail had the perfect kick, but the ebi nigiri was the real star for me--so good. Such a cute little spot for a casual date or a food hall crawl. We also grabbed mochi to go and it was the perfect sweet ending. Already planning my next visit because I definitely want to try more of the menu.

I recommend planning ahead with a reservation, as they can get busy during a dinner rush. We were visiting Colorado for a quick weekend trip and were floored by the food here. While the rolls all sounded great, we opted for an omakase experience. It is priced at market value, so I imagine this could vary over time, but they had three tiers for omakase, which I thought were all fairly priced for the amount of food included. We opted for the highest tier, which was $120 pp, and it was incredibly filling with high quality cuts of fish and a thoughtfully curated menu. The sushi chef who took care of us was incredibly kind, and it was clear he put a lot of care into the food he prepared. If you're on the fence, hop off and make that reservation and come hungry for the omakase experience!

They…read moredidn't even have real wasabi, which already tells you everything you need to know about the quality here. The sushi menu is tiny compared to any legitimate sushi spot, and the menu itself was filthy. Not "a little worn," actually dirty. First impressions matter, and this place failed immediately. There was also zero indication whether you seat yourself or wait to be seated, so customers are left awkwardly standing around wondering what's going on. To make things worse, the entrance feels bizarre and rundown, like you're sneaking into the back of a storage building instead of entering a restaurant. If you want real wasabi, go to a proper sushi restaurant. This felt more like a watered-down imitation than a real dining experience. 1/10

Everything is incredibly delicious, comforting, and fresh, and when you dine in food comes at the prefect "sitting at a restaurant" pace, even when the restaurant was full. Today, I had a really specific question regarding an ingredient- I have an intolerance, and always feel awkward asking for an ingredient check. Serene (or Serena, forgive me I forget now!!) took ample time to double check for me that a food did not have the certain ingredient, judgement free, and responded with my worries only with kindness. Thank you so much!

He ordered several sushi rolls and nigiri (including tuna and salmon items). By the middle of the night he was experiencing intense stomach cramps, vomiting, diarrhea, chills, and dizziness. We ended up in the ER this morning because he was so dehydrated and weak. The doctor confirmed it was consistent with bacterial food poisoning, likely from improperly handled raw fish or cross-contamination. This is not something to take lightly. Food poisoning from sushi can be dangerous, especially for anyone with a compromised immune system, pregnant, elderly, or young children. If you value your health, I strongly recommend avoiding this place until they clean up their food safety practices. We will never return and are considering reporting this to the local health department. Please, learn from our mistake and steer clear. There are plenty of other sushi restaurants with better hygiene standards. Your family's health is not worth the risk.

The restaurant itself was clean and I loved the anime theme, especially the cool art on the walls. The only funny thing was that I was not sure why they still had Christmas decorations up. When it came to the food, I would put it into two distinct categories: the sushi, sashimi, and ramen versus everything else. The sushi, sashimi, and ramen were phenomenal for an AYCE sushi place. The fish came in decently sized portions, had good flavor, and practically melted in your mouth. Every roll we had was super flavorful, and I loved the phantasma roll the most. I also really liked the ratio of fish and fillings to rice. I did not feel like they were trying to intentionally fill me up on rice like some other places do. On the other hand, everything else on the menu was mid to below average and completely skippable. I highly recommend saving the room in your stomach for the fish, rolls, and ramen. The pork belly skewer and gyoza were actually very disappointing. Overall, Chubby Fish Sushi is a great treat every once in a while. For two people after tip, it came out to about $80. Stick to the fish and the ramen, and you will have a fantastic meal.

It took about 25 minutes for our table to be ready which is pretty legit at 5:45pm. The inside is super cute and the decor is bright and friendly. I enjoyed checking out all the cute touches and artistry! The food came pretty fast. I would say this sushi is pretty mid if you're comparing to high quality, fancy sushi. But for AYCE, it's great! For $30.99/person, we definitely ate our money's worth! I think in total we ordered like 7 rolls, 8 pieces of nigiri, and 6 different side dishes. Sesame balls, tako yaki, cheese wontons, were all subpar. The jalapeno bomb I would not recommend - it was overall just strange and not what I was expecting. There was like a weird meat mixture deep fried with the shell of the jalapeno. I would definitely order the Truffle White Tuna and Crispy Spicy Tuna side dishes again. Shout out to the Fire in the Sky Roll and the deliciously simple Salmon Avocado Roll. Overall, a great place to eat your weight in sushi. Service was super friendly and they move fast! Also recommend the house hot sake to compliment the meal!
