A simple acknowledgment of the time window after seating, paired with the wine list and a warm greeting, would have made the same operational point without making guests feel like an inconvenience. Ultimately, we decided not to disrupt the reservations and spend our day elsewhere. I would encourage management to revisit front-of-house training. The first ninety seconds of a guest's experience shapes the entire meal, and prioritizing efficiency over welcome undermines whatever the kitchen has to offer.
