For drinks, my sister got the orange soda while I just had a bottle of water. We also shared a single serving of flan. I would suggest getting plain white rice with the oxtail sauce contains a lot of flavor already. Recommended always!

It is such a nice treat to have this level of consistency in the food. Everything always tastes fresh, flavorful, and homemade. What I really appreciate is that this is the kind of everyday Dominican food many families actually eat back home in the DR. Real comfort food and classic street-food style offerings you would find throughout the Dominican Republic. The setup is buffet style, so you walk up, choose what you want, and they either plate it for you or pack it to go. The ox tails are outstanding, the chicharrón is always on point, and the rice and beans never miss. Honestly, I have not had a bad meal here yet. You can tell they take pride in the food and care about the quality. The only thing saving me is the 45-minute drive... because if I lived any closer, I would probably be a few more pounds overweight.

The restaurant doesn't look very big, but it definitely handles a lot of people. It was busy when we walked in but we were seated immediately (you seat yourself at any clean table and a server brings menus right away). We ordered coffees and waters then perused the menu, which is full of wonderful sounding options. I landed on the hash benedict and he got an omelet. We also ordered a blueberry pancake to share. My eggs were *perfectly* poached and the hollandaise was incredible. His omelet was full of meat. The home fries crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The pancake was MASSIVE and full of berries. Service was immaculate. 100/10 will return

I tried this place because Matt Shearer was raving about the rice and beans. The mini pastelitos sampler came with chicken, beef and cheese with a dipping sauce. The char grilled chicken is well season and the overall portion is great. The rice and beans unfortunately tasted just average, I don't agree with Matt Shearer.
