I never leave bad reviews but I wanted to clarify from my last post, that it's a new owner now and they no longer serve crepes. I asked for what I usually get, which is a crepe, and they said yes but gave me a folded pancake with apples and strawberries in it. I wouldn't write a bad review if I didn't find hair and a piece of plastic in my food. I payed for it nonetheless but I wish I didn't. read more

Was in the area checking out a college with the family. Found this little place. When we saw it had Cuban sandwich we decided to go in and check it out. The staff is super friendly. Place nice and clean. The food was awesome. I had the Cuban Panini the wife had the Canoa chicken, my son had the Dominican and the hosted recommended the cachapa like a crumpet. And fruit smoothies for drinks. It was all delicious. Well worth it. Loved it definitely will try again read more

Chipotle chicken sandwich is awesome, also the tostada is great if you just want something simple. Customer service was great and the staff was super nice. Definitely recommend the juices too. Really can't go wrong with a place like this. You can dine in or take out and the prices are very reasonable. Been there a few times already, hasn't disappointed yet! Two thumbs up read more

This took me wayyy back, to Sunday mornings in Dominican Republic when I was a kid. I had el Dominicano sandwich and a mori soñando de chinola, basically a passion fruit smoothie with lots of milk. I will definitely go back to try el Cubano, cute little place for sure. read more

I have always wanted to try Dominican food since I've had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with many wonderful people from the Dominican Republic. So I decided to read some yelp reviews and chose this restaurant. It was so great!!! I'll start with the atmosphere. Little cozy clean place, with a BIG tv and really good music playing. It was Spanish so I am assuming it was Dominican music. The fellow who greeted us was a friendly and serene gentleman. He made us feel at home without the usual useless banter we often encounter. He recommended the lemon juice which I ordered and it was the best lemonade of my life!!!!!!!! Then I ordered a dish which involved chicken and cheese stuffed in a banana. It was yummy!! I wanted to try a plantain, but it looked like a banana, tasted like a banana, so I concluded it was a banana.. I've heard plantains taste more like a potato. Anyway it was still very good. My husband got a Cuban sandwich which was so wonderful. I love this place!! The menu is pretty small but I'd rather have less to choose from if it's delicious, than many choices of garbage. read more

Very clean and warm inside. Super friendly owner who was very happy to make recommendations which was helpful because even though the menu was small there were no photos to help visualize some of the choices. Everything she recommended was really good. I am impatient with waiting so I was happy that the place was empty when we went in, we were given immediate attention, and food was done really quick. A perfect example of the Latino small fast service restaurant that I have come to love. They make a kind of slightly sweet crepe called a catchupa (I believe) that you can have stuffed with cheese or combination of cheese and chicken ham or pork. This is a perfect example of the type of food that you probably never tried that you probably should. It's handmade and very well done. Even the pulled chicken breast wasn't overly dry. And these things come with a small side salad for just 7 Bucks. We also tried the Cuban sandwich. I've had this sandwich everywhere including Cafe Versailles on Calle Ocho. Let me tell you this was a wonderful example. The sandwich was pressed so that the bread was thin and crisp just like it should be. The people were friendly and spoke English as well as Spanish. Happened upon this place on the way to a concert at the Lynn Auditorium - great luck for us! Very helpful staff helped us choose from the menu - and the food turned out great! We had chicken cooked inside a plantain plus a veggie home made corn wrap - and terrific smoothie. The on-line menu doesn't do the offerings credit! Bad service. I had to take my plates to the bar as no one came to our table after they served our food to ask if we needed something else. A female that I assume is the owner has a ver bad attitude. Enjoyed a delicious lunch here today. Excellent food at a more than reasonable price. The chicken and cheese catchupa is a must. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the corn crepe like pancake that it was stuffed in was delicious! Also had the Cubano sandwich which I have to say was the best I have had outside of Miami. The bread was grilled perfectly (the bread super thin) and everything in the right proportions. Staff were very friendly, the place not fancy but very clean.
