Best Mofongo I've ever had. Juicy, tasty, meaty, cracklingy. Flavor Bomb.

Mofongo is a big deal in the spanish speaking islands of the Caribbean and this review is for the Mofongo here. They make a smooth garlicky version here with plenty of chicharron meat inside on a bed of lettuce and a side of beef stew sauce it is a dreamy dish and a flavor bomb. PS Mofongo are deep fried pieces of green plantain mashed with garlic, salt, chicken broth and pork crackling (chicharron).

This is a funny little Latin American Dominican type restaurant in Lynn Massachusetts. They specialize in rotisserie chicken a few other miscellaneous items and some side orders. The chicken is fabulous when it's fresh served with Lyme you can also get a multitude of side dishes the plan Taine is very sweet taste great and rice and beans nice very nice we usually get takeout for lunch and get a half a chicken with some salad for Approximately seven dollars the price changes every time we go. They do not have a priced menu. How it works you wait in a long line sometimes out the door when you get up to the counter you tell the people what you want and then they chop up the chicken ask you how much you want and what side you want with it. Then they guesstimate the price pretty funny but always a bargain. No set prices. They have approximately 4 or 5 tables but if you go at lunchtime or dinner time I would not want to sit at one as you will have peoples butts on your table as they are curling around inside trying to stay warm the line gets so long. If they had a decent seating area and a set menu with set prices I would give them more stores very tasty food everything else is a mess even the parking lot which is very tough to get into. However if you like good rotisserie chicken definitely head on over its excellent!!

Usually when I come to Boston, this place is one of my 1st stops. Unlike many of the reviews I read on the place, it usually is true Dominican 'street' food. If you're looking for fancy schmancy this really isn't your place to go and just seeing its location should tell any patron that. The food can almost consistently be referenced as authentic. I definitely would not eat Dominican food from just any spot however in my last couple visits I feel like the seating area has grown more and more abandoned. The bathroom is one I'd rather not use. The food, although still good, is saltier these days. Tip: the earlier in the day that you can go, the fresher the food you'll receive.

The prices and portions are very generous here. The quality of food is also decent. However, I agree with the majority of other reviews. Ordering here presents a huge challenge for those of us who can't communicate in spanish. I have noticed that even though there is a "line," they would attend to spanish speaking customers first. Parking has never been an issue as they have ample parking. I find their parking lot repulsive at times. I have seen dead rodents lying around and live ones scurrying by even during the day.

I live in the area and had been meaning to try this place since I heard it was under new ownership…read more I recently ordered the Mofongo with chicharrón, and it was fantastic. You can really tell they take their time and care with the food--everything was cooked properly, and I especially appreciated that the pork belly chunks were completely cleaned and shaved. That's usually a major turnoff for me elsewhere, so it definitely earned extra points here. The only thing that could be seen as a downside is the price. The Mofongo was $30, which is on the higher side. That said, the portion size, sides, and overall quality absolutely justified the price in my opinion. I'm happy to go back and try more dishes. Best of luck to the new owners, my family and I enjoyed your food very much!

I stopped by Punta Cana Dominican Grill curious to try something new. I asked to switch out my…read morewhite rice for yellow, which they did -- and while I was disappointed they forgot my beans, I still gave it a fair try. The yellow rice was fluffy and filling, and the yuca fries were actually a standout -- golden, crispy, and really satisfying. The salad, however, came with no dressing, and the chicken definitely didn't match the saucy, glistening version I saw in their online photos. Mine was a bit drier and missing that visual punch. All in all, it wasn't bad! I wouldn't tell anyone to skip it -- it's worth a taste if you're nearby and in the mood for Dominican food. I have a feeling there are other items on the menu I might enjoy more, so I'd give it another shot with different picks next time.
