A hidden gem for sure, we got three churros and they were crisp! Not to also say that the bathroom was super clean and the way there was psychedelic with mushrooms and stools! Service was also quite nice. Pricey for plain churros, three ran me $10~

1 star was deducted for not having churros at el churrito loco . The service was great really fast and efficient no issues there. The ambiance is pretty chill the inside offers various sitting booths a few cool LED lights on the wall . The main centerpiece of the room was the LED butterfly . Lastly for the items ordered some small let downs were the fresh strawberry water tasted a bit like refrigerator .. like the syrup was sitting but the drink was still drinkable . The crepe was good could have been great but the portion of Ice cream for 15 dollars was a bit underwhelming and the temperature wasn't all that warm once served . All things considered would come back for a churro .

Great place for your favorite snacks, ice cream, burgers, Frys, etc. Highly recommended There is something for everyone.

I was craving some late night food and wanted to give this place a try. It was just okay. Food- it is a little pricy for being "quick" options. My husband got the pico hotdog, and we shared the mozzarella sticks and classic churro. Nothing stood out, however, the fries were very similar to the golden arches. Churro was very dense and the cheesesticks were not melty. Service, our order took over 20 minutes to get with another couple who got theirs first even though they ordered after us. What we thought would be a quick in n out meal kept us there longer than expected. They were nowhere near busy. Interior of this place is different, this would be a cool late night spot but they are only open until 9:30. While the decor is interesting the lighting situation left me nauseated. There's bright fluorescent lights and fans that repeatedly go over them and cause a light strobe effect. Overall nothing in comparison to a traditional street dog.

I got the churro Loko and got a scoop of chocolate and coffee ice cream and the presentation was solid but I couldn't help but the notice the sour taste in the ice cream almost like it was expired. The churro was good but I couldn't take anymore bites of the ice cream so I started smelling it and it smelled sour. I threw it away as soon as I smelled it . But as I'm writing this review my stomach seem upset hopefully not food poisoning but yeah really disgusting ice cream. Food shouldn't make you want to question if it's expired or not. I really hope it wasn't.

Monkey

this is so good got the monkey waffle deep fried oreo and chetoelote and it was all so good. lady working the register was super nice also don't trust the bad reviews this place is amazing.

The lady was so rude and messed up my order and my crepe wasn't made good and the ice cream was all melted before I even left the parking lot

I was picking up a couple dumbbells off Saratoga and low and behold, NEW CHURRO JOINT! In anticipation of future workouts, I decided to stop by and try a plain churro. They have filled churros and the "loko" options with glaze, sprinkles, and ice cream as well. I went w the plain bc I didn't want too much sugar before dinner. People who ordered were waiting outside and came in when their orders were ready. Between ordering and getting it in my hand, it took about 6 minutes. Pretty fast! It was about a foot long and an inch thick. Exterior provided a nice crunch and the inside was soft, just how I like it! There was plenty of cinnamon sugar that adhered to the churro, so no bite was tasteless. Happy to have dropped by. Will definitely come through again when I'm in the neighborhood

Spotted this place randomly while in the area. I hesitated to go due to the reviews but gave it a shot and I'm glad I did. I ordered churros, raspados and hot Cheetos with nacho cheese and jalapeños which are bomb. The raspados here they give you a good amount too and it has a lot of flavor! The churros are good as well, it didn't take long for them to make as a previous reviewer mentioned so maybe they changed it up since I've been here a couple times and didn't have to wait long at all. They have ice cream which is from thrifty I noticed which is always good. Always stop by whenever I'm in the area since it doesn't get crowded and lots of parking.

Whether you're planning a date night or a fun night out with the girls, I highly recommend this place!

As soon as we entered, even though there were other diners, the staff asked if my kids wanted to play a cartoon on the projector wall. They were ecstatic . Immediately had Foreign Cinema vibes for us but better! Cocktail menu is their focus, there are a few few wines as well as bottled beers no draft. The menu including their specials was so enticing. It was hard to decide on what to eat. We started with the Brussels sprouts which were perfectly crispy without being too greasy. It had a mustard sauce and pork belly, but neither of those were over powering . I just wish the dish was a bit bigger since we all enjoyed it ! Omg the butternut squash soup - they blended it so that there's a light froth and it feels a little airy in your mouth. It was still richly flavorful and creamy as well and came with some fresh focaccia to dip. I'm not always a fan of octopus, depending on how it's prepared. but their Octopus comes with one full thick arm, and was super tender and scrumptious. The burger was really good, apparently they have a kids version too. Ooh the Salmon entrée was amazing. The salmon itself was perfectly cooked and tender.. but what I really loved was the black rice it came on top of which had shiitake mushrooms and other deliciousness fried into it. I could've just had a bowl of that rice for dinner and then satisfied. The only downside is that the interior is pretty small and once a big group came in it was so loud that we would have to shout to hear each other. They do have outdoor patio seating, which is actually quite nice. There are Christmas lights up right now and it is a closed street so would be lovely dining option for an evening that is not too chilly. Service was great - super friendly positive attentive staff Will be back for sure !

I was debating between two cream cheese flavors and then they said I could do half-and-half which I loved. The Greek goddess spread is also amazing. Same with the honey walnut. Food came out fairly fast too! Ordered the Breakfast sando, The Chick, Hojicha tea, and brownie sugar Hojicha Latte. Sandos were both very delicious. Breakfast one had beef and with sauce made it quite a messy eat. The Chick featured a giant piece of taiwanese fried chicken. Solid crisp and great spiced seasoning. Fair warning- the chicken feels like its never going to end. It took me 5 minutes from one and of the chicken to reach my actual sando. Neither of these are easy to eat. Be prepared to unhinge that jaw. Drinks were solid! Personally my hojicha tea was a tad on the bitter side, but the sweetener helped. Worth it stop if you're in the downtown SJ area.

We made a reservation ahead of time since we didnt want to wait to be seated on a Saturday. When we first got there at 1 pm, it was super busy. They were getting the table ready when we got there. We ate and lingered for awhile and by the time we left, the lunch crowd was dying down. Service was friendly and great despite them being so busy. I ordered the fish tacos and they were good. Not the best I have ever had, but good nevertheless. I was surprised that the tacos had a flour tortilla. I didn't really read the description on the menu, I just saw fish tacos and knew that's what I wanted for lunch. A fish taco on a flour vs corn tortilla is a debate, it just comes to personal preference but it does change the flavor. I prefer corn tortillas but I did enjoy these tacos on a flour tortilla. The fish was crispy, but I felt like something was missing overall from the tacos...seasoning, maybe? My friends all enjoyed their meal selections. Portions were decent for the price and the prices were reasonable. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We choose to sit inside since it was sooo hot and we wanted to be cool as we were enjoying our meal. Parking can be an issue around due to the popularity of the area but there are parking garages, parking lots and street parking around. The restaurant is right on the corner and hard to miss. I tried the Eggs Benedict... the sauce was okay and the hashbrowns were decent. They're cooked with onion, which was a good addition. So I ate my plate, I finished it, but I don't want to come back for more. Even though I wasn't full. I don't think I've ever left brunch feeling hungry! I also had a vanilla latte, it was good but with a huge espresso machine like they have, they should have way more options for drinks. The atmosphere is nice. It's a huge restaurant, with great lighting. The outside seating looks just as nice as the inside. It's a nice neighborhood so the outside seating is a good option. I won't be back.
