There was even great live music on the Tuesday night of our visit. Cordial staff and friendly customers. Walk up counter service, place your order, get a buzzer, grab your food from the window when it goes off. Pay when you are finished. A concise menu, done well. I opted for their Flatbread with pasta salad on the side. The flatbread was done very well, nice crisp with fresh ingredients. It worked for me, the pasta salad was also very good. They have an extensive beer and brews menu on a digital board overhead. We both enjoyed our meals and the live music was an extra touch on a tuesday. Definitely worth a vist and your support. 4.5 Stars rounded up for the excellent vibe and good people 01272

We went in on a Wednesday a little after 12 and it wasn't too busy so not very loud. Easy to carry in a conversation. On the burger, I got bacon, cheddar, grilled onions, pickles and pimento cheese. That pimento cheese should be mass produced. Wow! The Mac and cheese side is very small but filling. I also added bacon to that. See pic. It had bacon wings! And fittingly, it was heavenly. (See what I did there) :-) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Luckily we found a table with enough room because right after we arrived the place started filling up. We had the cute and friendly Alyson as our server and we started out by choosing beers from the draft menu. I had the Olde-Hickory Hefe-Weizen which I thought was good; but nothing special. A few friends had the Stumphaus Lager and they really liked it. The beers were reasonably priced from $3.50-$8. They had an extensive food menu with salads, sandwiches, appetizers, and even tacos and quesadillas. We decided to share a few different tapas/appetizers. One friend got the "Tarts Pick 3" for $14. They were super cute, original, and delicious. (They even looked like works of art!). I ordered the Street Corn Dip which came with potato chips for dipping. It was quite large and very good; only $11. Another friend ordered the Edamame Basket which was only $11. It came with sweet chili sauce for dipping and we all liked it. A 4th friend ordered the Verner's Bruschetta. It was a hefty portion as well, and priced at $13. It was unique and good with tomatoes, basil, cucumbers, Queso Fresco , and balsamic glaze. The final friend had a wedge salad which I didn't try; but it was presented beautifully and she said it was really tasty. All our food was really yummy, and the prices were reasonable. It did take a little long for our food; but the restaurant was very busy and all the servers were hustling and they all kept smiles on their faces! I would definitely suggest a visit to Stumphaus Taproom if you're ever in Walhalla.

On top of the crowd noise, they had live entertainment which just amplified the cacophony. We ordered drinks which were brought after 15 minutes. We also ordered edamame to enjoy with our drinks. The edamame didn't arrive for 45 minutes so we had to leave & asked to get the edamame to go. That process took another 20 minutes. Over an hour to get an order of edamame?!!! OMG. Worst of all the server wasn't even concerned & failed to check on us. The entire staff seemed to ambivalent about customer service. While waiting for my now to go order, I asked to speak to a manager (no show) . I finally gave up & left when the edamame finally arrived. Horrible experience. We will never return. I'll be shocked if this restaurant is still open by Labor Day Never been treated worse! I'm only giving 1 star because the app won't let me give 0.

Yes, I typed that right! Besides, most domestic beers are available for about three bucks each. All are served with a koozie. All you can get is only popcorn with your beer, but you can bring your pizza and have a good time with your friends. Hey, you got it! Jimmy, Beth, and Sydney are awesome behind the bar and make your day better! They will make you feel welcome and greet you by your name every time. One Sydney shared a great story, and I thought that was awesome! Sydney, a Political Science major at Clemson, told her Dad that she got a bartending job, and her Dad was not happy about that, and Then she said to him that she got that job at the "Sloane Street Tap Room," and her Dad was surprisingly silent! She nervously asked, "What, Dad?." Dad slowly answered, "I worked there too when I was at Clemson!." Wow!!! Congratulations, Sydney, you are not only a legacy student at Clemson, but you are also a legacy bartender too! How cool is that? Sloane Street Tap Room is different! Check it out!

It is suitable for crowds. Of course, the old silos were built for grain storage in the late 40's time frame and now have been turned into a community hub of restaurants, bars, live music, outdoor dining via numerous vendors, fire pits and large screen tv's with even a rail car venue in a very eclectic and hip, urban setting. We were eating at one of the associated restaurants, Inky's, and they allow us to go to Silos Brewing and grab a beer to bring back for the meal. Very cool since Inky's sells draft, but just not this craft Silos draft. I really liked the cooperative and laid back approach by both establishments, including that Silos Brewing let me carry the glass over and not just a plastic cup. They will get it back. My choice was the "Smoke on the Lager" which is, of course, a lager base with smoky hints that went well with my Authentic Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. As their website says, "our backyard is your playground," and I bet on a warm spring or summer evening (rather than a rainy, winter Thursday), this place would be excellent fun. "A place to share stories over a pint, challenge friends to a casual game, or bask in the laid-back vibes of our beer garden." I get that from this establishment and will definitely be back to partake of this hospitality. From what I have seen, despite the less than ideal weather, this is a definite road worthy destination spot even from Greenville or Clemson.
