We visited Keowee Brewery last night with a group of 8 adults and 5 kids, excited to try a new spot. Unfortunately, from the very start, the experience was incredibly unwelcoming. We sat inside for a few minutes but decided the kids would have more fun with the open and Empty space on the back patio. One of the dads walked the kids out there to give them some room to play. The kids weren't being loud or disruptive at all, just being kids and walking around. While we were at the bar ordering drinks, the bartender said, "the kids can't be alone back there." We let him know a parent was literally with them and we were all going to join them when we got our drinks, but instead of acknowledging that, he watched the security cameras and replied, "We're trying to run a restaurant here." Again, the kids were NOT being bad, not screaming, and not being disruptive. His tone and attitude were shockingly rude. We were stunned. Not once were we spoken to with kindness, understanding, or basic hospitality from this bartender. Instead, it felt like we were an inconvenience from the moment we walked in. We left after only 20 minutes and I'm so glad because upon leaving, I noticed the food looked bad as well. Extremely disappointed all around. Do better, bartender in the corduroy jacket. read more

We really enjoyed our dinner at Keowee Brewing. You order at the counter and get your onsite brewed beer or wine slushy (so delicious) right away. The inside is nice but the outside patio is awesome. They have life music Friday and Saturday evening. We had the Tex Mex bowl and the Keowee smash burger. Both were delicious, and the fries were wonderful. Food took a good while to come but it was totally worth it. We will add this place to our date night rotation. read more

This brewery is nestled in a small downtown area, but draws a large crowd. This brewery is two stories, with a huge outdoor patio. The patio is dog friendly and occasionally you'll catch a live band outside. They have beer, wine, and wine slushies to choose from. During my recent visit I got the good friends kolsch. Not only do they have drinks, they also offer several food options that you order at the counter and they bring to your table. The food is just average, but it's nice to have! read more

We recently moved to Seneca and have driven by KBC a bunch of times and have said "note to self, check this place out". Yesterday, on a gray chilly Sunday afternoon we did just that. So glad we did! We are 3; husband and myself and our 37 year old son who lives with us once again! (We love having him around). My husband and I had full bellies when we arrived so the plan was that our son would get food and we would get something to drink. Well, I saw on the menu that they are using TALLOW to fry their potatoes in! What!?! We had to order some! They were OUTSTANDING! Son was very happy with his burger and fries. It was certainly bustling here on Memorial Day! Loved their flight options and the glasses are certainly larger if not twice the size of a typical brewery flight glass. They also have frozen options which I tried. They are tart! Food smelled and looked amazing however we didn't try any. read more

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for a beer (or two) and decided to order food. The smash burger came out timely. It may have been the best burger I have had in 2025. The burger was properly smashed, caramelized and smothered with beer cheese. I split it with my spouse and we both agreed. Muy Bueno. The beer, a Hazy and a Porter, were both fresh and delicious. This was a nice place to chat with friends and family. While I didn't get any food I chatted with some people who got a salad and BBQ sandwich and had high praise! You order at the counter and they bring you your food. I had the raspberry wheat which was ok. My bf had an IPA which he said was very good. We have been to dozens of breweries and the atmosphere here was just ok. Not a ton of dining inside. There is a large area with tables out back with sun shades but it was still hot and , again, lacked atmosphere. The burgers were definitely 5 stars which bumped up the rating. read more

Super atmosphere in an old brick building with wooden rafters. Nice open feeling with rustic home made wooden tables. A good selection of beers made here and some ciders that are nice, but made elsewhere thanks to arcane laws that make it hard to brew cider legally. Good place to bring some friends and have a brew. I have to admit that this place wasn't on the list of dinner options, but a snafu with the original option turned out to be a coup. We were two of just a few folks there, which is always a bit scary, until I remembered that it was a Thursday at 4:00 and most of the rest of the world was working, so yeah. We bellied up to the bar and tried their 'slushies', which didn't really do it for either one of us. Luckily, the beer itself was a different story, and both the Peaches and Fireworks and My Blood Runs Orange were winners. We took our drinks out to the dog-friendly patio and enjoyed the nice weather, and scenery of our new English Bulldog friend Herschel. Once the kitchen opened, I opted for a Pauly P sandwich and my husband got a Godfather. Both were very good, and so sizeable, that I was able to bring half of mine back to our room fridge to have with eggs a few days later for breakfast. Score extra points for price performance. This is a cute little place that not only allows, but encourages dog patrons, so I gotta give them kudos for that. My mom lives in a town near here. If you aren't familiar with the area, there isn't much around compared to a big city (not knocking it, just noting the normal number of options). So, I totally did not expect there to be a cute little brewery with a nice outdoor space. We tried several of the beers, and my mom (who hates beer) opted for a spiked hot chocolate. The food options were a little sparse, but its a brewery not really a restaurant. The outdoor space was really cute and not busy when we were there, but my mom did say that sometimes it is packed with dogs and she hates it when dogs poop where you eat... so take that for what you will. read more
