This was around 8pm, brewery was empty except 1 other patron, brewmaster, singer, and barmaid. No wait for service therefore, I wanted to sample the jalapeño beer. Upon initial sip, you taste jalapeño but the aftertaste is definitely sour pickle w a slight burn, later on it gave slight heartburn. The Carolina Reaper beer which is spicy and hot was available but the taps would have to be reconnected. The bar maid explained that it burned going in and out so I declined. The seating appeared to more outside than in, a few tables, cushion seats, and a pew was visible inside. Stage for open mic night, the singer was one man, Johnny Cash-type country voice. I'm not a big beer drinker as use to be but there are distinct flavors here that can be explored. Laid back atmosphere.

We have been a few places and I wondered how a place with 5 stars with only 11 reviews could leave me so excited about returning for my next visit. The Duck- a favorite of my husband's. Cooked to perfection and served with rice that could have stood well on its own but a delightful pairing. Just as with the other meal, the cornbread was so perfect it could have stood on its own. Lastly we ordered the Pork Belly Mussels.
