Tacos are very juicy and flavorful. Their restaurant is in the same plaza as the truck.

This place, indeed, has a mini market inside with a surprising selection of meats, pantry items and…read morechips. I recommend their chicken sandwich (napilitana de pollo $13.99 for large). It is good. It is the same price at the beef version but understandly so. The chicken meat was grilled tenderly, and the slice of ham it came with added the saltynesss the sandwich needed. Simple but effective. Also chilies adds great flavor too. You can ask for it on the side to adjust spiciness to your preference. Capicollo, one of the cold sandwich, was fine but nothing to write home about. Atlas or wings ($11.99/lb) here remind me of the ones I used to get when I was younger... I like how the spicy version is still deed fried and not saucy. (Personally prefer dry rubs.) The heat can creep up to u after a few. But not all wings are created equally, might end with with some tiny more battered ones along with regulars. Wait times can be longer during lunch times - waited 30 min for takeout during weekday lunch hour.

There's already food that is fried and ready to go when you come up to the counter apparently there's a process that it's lost on me. So I just went my own way and got in line, picked what I wanted and then paid, found a table that is first-come-first-served basis. Easy peasey. Got some cheese empanadas, chicken wings & French fries. What do that to me was the cheese and vanilla, very cheesy and savory! The fries on the other hand felt like that they were sitting there a bit, and I love fries so these kinda were a meh for me. It looks like a small cafeteria set up with the lunch lady at the counter, No muss, no fuss. Pretty good experience coz it was spent with Hubby and a very good friend. Parking is free & shared with other businesses in this plaza.

Stopped by this place after finishing a workout at a nearby gym. This used to be Pho Hien Mai…read more(iykyk), became Mien Tay, and now they're under a new name - Saigonese. Yelp profile hasn't been made to reflect any changes, so I'll stick to using this. Came by to order pho dac biet to-go with peach tea. The staff knows Eng, but sticking with Viet was easier. Cantonese is spoken here too. Food came out fast and went home to enjoy my lunch. Nice staff is a plus. The pho was great! The broth was balanced, so I didn't make any adjustments to it. The portion size and price is pretty good, esp the amount of protein they give you. Could use more herbs though, but I like my food more vegetal. Definitely returning. Thanks yall

Not sure why I haven't left a review for this spot yet I've been here a bunch of times already…read more They open pretty early, so it's a solid place to grab pho or other Vietnamese eats in the morning. I usually go for the pho dac biet, but I've also tried the hu tieu and the banh mi xiu mai, which were both pretty decent. Lately, I've been especially into their pho the broth tastes lighter and cleaner (less oily), which I really like. They also do a great job with their takeout game everything is packed well. Prices are reasonable too, which is probably why I keep coming back. Whenever I'm around El Monte these days, this is my go-to lunch spot.

We came here because it's one of the only "sushi" restaurants within a reasonable distance for us…read moreon the InKind App. We think they're going for Asian Mexican fusion? The food isn't bad but for the price, we probably wouldn't come back. Here's what we got: 1) Creamy mushroom chicken: I got this because I thought it was à la carte but it comes with rice, salad, and bread (which I do not want). The cream and the chicken are actually pretty good but it could use more chicken and mushrooms. 2) Dodger roll: I didn't try this but my wife said she wouldn't get this again for the price. 3) Fresas con crema: this was whatever. It's just strawberries and cream cheese (with some banana I think?) with a chocolate coating and blueberry on top. 4) Bone marrow tacos: this is probably the best thing on the menu. It's a little misleading but it's actually bone marrow plus meat (I think it's short rib). A little pricey but this one is probably worth it in my opinion. Overall, we wouldn't come here again because of the price but staff are really nice and food isn't bad.

Update: got food poisoning and been vomiting and in bathroom…read more Horrible service and disappointing food. When we entered the restaurant, there were only two servers and about five tables occupied, yet no one acknowledged us or even made eye contact. We were told to put our name on the Yelp waitlist using the tablet at the front, even though there was clearly no wait and several empty tables. After a few minutes, a server finally seated us, but no one came to take our drink order. We were given a high chair that was visibly dirty. After waiting about 15 minutes with no follow-up, I had to flag someone down just to place our order. The server said she would bring water, napkins, and plates -- none of which arrived. We didn't receive water until well after the food was ordered, so we were just sitting there waiting. Throughout the entire meal, no one checked on us at all. The staff seemed more focused on talking among themselves than paying attention to customers, even missing us when we were clearly trying to get their attention. The food was just as disappointing as the service. For the price, the quality was very poor. The sushi rolls were bland, the sashimi had a noticeable odor and tasted like it wasn't fresh, and the tacos were unimpressive. There are many other sushi places nearby that offer much better quality and value. Overall, extremely slow, inattentive service and food that was not worth the price. I would not recommend this place.
