Here are my thoughts on today's visit: Location: 8/10 If you visit Clinton and the surrounding areas, you know it is a smaller town than other cities. Serrano's is located across from City Hall downtown. It is picturesque as a previous Yelper mentioned and it is a quaint area that is great for biking or walking. They do have outdoor seating. Customer Service: 8/10 We were greeted warmly by our server who kept our drinks and chips topped off throughout the visit. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The establishment was clean with bright decor and everything was well cared for. They also had great-sized margaritas. Food: 2/10 Despite the great customer service and location, the food was not good. Hubby and I both ordered the beef chimichanga meal. Out of all the Mexican places I have eaten, this was the sparsest serving of beans and rice I have seen! If you are super hungry, do not expect to have a portion size that will fill you up. The sprinkle of lettuce and tomato on the side was laughable. There was little to no flavor of the food and there was nothing exciting about the presentation. The chips were hot and crispy, but the salsa was too onion and cilantro forward, which overpowered the freshly cut tomatoes the sauce was made out of. Our meal was $30 total after tip, which is affordable for the two of us to eat out. Overall: 3/10: The locals love this place, but it is a pass for me. Mexican is one of my favorite meals and this visit was disappointing. Had the portion sizes and flavor been better, I am sure it would have been a much better experience.

I typically judge a Mexican restaurant by their chips and salsa quality and this place was great! Fresh chips, salsa was high quality, even spicy version was good. The margaritas were decent and flavorful (not overloaded mix or tequila) The best part of our experience was the Mocajete dish! Mix of shrimp, steak, chicken, cactus, jalapeño, chorizo, amazing cheese... More than enough to share for 2. This was first time I've ever seen or heard of and came recommended from a friend but it was worth it! So fresh, so tasty, and flavorful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I will definitely eat here again when in town! :)

Despite a full house, service and time to get food and drinks was excellent! Madeya was our waitress and was so great. I ordered a molcajete, so delicious and enough for 3 people! My new favorite Mexican restaurant!

We were visiting overnight at a hotel across the street, and delighted to find this place. Highly recommend.

We were sat in a corner of a back room and everything was fine but the waiter was very stoic when taking our order. We got our order but was not brought out by our waiter. Soon after that he came back to ask if I wanted another soda and that was the last interaction with this waiter. He was waiting on a table in the same room with a large group of men and he was very attentive to that group. We were done and we needed a to-go box and the check. He came back into this room four different times waiting on the large group but never looked our way. I tried to get his attention on all four times and he would not even look our way. It was about 15 minutes and another customer saw what was going on and he finally got another waiters attention and sent him to us so we could get a box and the check. The other waiter quickly brought a box and finally our waiter came with the check and said something I didn't understand. The resturant was not that full and there was no reason for the non- attention. I spoke with the cashier about the situation and he said that he will talk to him. This is actually a nice place just an unfortunate experience that will keep us from going there again.

I think everything comes out of a can and everything definitely tastes, looks and feels microwaved. On several occasions we have also had issues with not having enough plates or silverware. When asking why they always responded that they don't have enough even when there were only a few people in the restaurant. The most troubling however was how the employees were treated. I often heard the owner yelling at them and bad mouthing them. The rudeness was terrible to listen too and I felt so bad for the poor people being yelled at and demeaned. I will not return to this establishment. Poor food, poor service and poor treatment of humans.
