Coming from a primarily Hispanic state, being married to a Hispanic.......I was warned about Missouri's version of Mexican food. Tried it anyway and gained a bit of hope when I saw Hispanics working; bringing hope to some authenticity. NOPE. The salsa was bland, not enough salt, no seasoning and tasted more like watered down tomatoes. The beans, again, were flavorless. I felt like I was eating mushed and boiled beans. To be fair, I guess I was. The rice was also lacking in flavor. Now, I am not sure if this is due to majority of people here being elderly and unable to consume flavor due to medical reasons or what but, if you're a Mexican food restaurant, be who you are and show people! Also, why are you using prepackaged corn tortillas for tacos?!?! That is by far the most idiotic thing EVER at a Mexican food restaurant. Are you giving up so badly you refuse to fry fresh corn tortillas? You chose stale over priced chewy dense crap? There was 1 good thing but I'm scared to say as it's probably prepacked like apparently everything else in this place! Came to Warsaw for a one night lake trip. Saw this restaurant since it kinda stood out and Mexican food sounded good. Went around 8 pm on a Saturday, and it had steady business. We were seated right away, and chips and salsa were brought immediately along with our waters with lemon. I wanted carne asada but also saw their birria tacos, so I ended up getting that as well and splitting that with my plus one who also got the Pollo loco platter. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the food here was AMAZING! My steak was so tender and seasoned perfectly so was the chicken for the Pollo loco, beans and rice were good also but what really capped off this experience and pushed me to give the extra star is the birria tacos and the consume!! This was the best I have EVER had!! The flavorings were terrific!! I could have ordered the consome in a gallon tub and drank it! If you come to Warsaw and eat nowhere else, I recommend here for these tacos! Service was also good and the resturant was clean with a nice large waiting area. Nice pleasant surprise, if ever in town again I will be back! read more

Awesome service! Exceptional and AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD! The best place for us to be seated are in the booths just for closeness to my hubby. Clean. Their customer service is AMAZING LY AWESOME! I have water with lemon and it goes fast. The waiter doesn't need to be told to refill my water, which is a big deal to me. Right on for these guys! Basic TexMex, which I like, but fantastic service and the food is good. The food is what it is, good basic fare you will recognize the menu from a million clone restaurants but it's good and reasonably priced. I like good ol' canned tomato salsa which they brought to us with our drink order, I as always asked for the hotter version, and I was pleasantly surprised. The hot salsa was delicious, well seasoned with proper habanero making quite hot, nice trend I have been seeing amongst TexMex joints. So in short good food, hot sauce, decent dining area, and and Excellent service. Recommended if your in the area. read more

This is a great place! I'm handicapped and they have all been really good to me. It's easily accessible from the outside and also inside. Menu has a lot to choose from. The food was good. We had a variety from burritos, fajitas, enchiladas, and tamales. The margarita was okay but I have had better. The chicken fajita we ordered had a few bones in it so I would becareful when getting the chicken. Service was good but they didn't really react to the bone we gave them which was a little disappointing. Overall not bad and we would try it again. I've had two different people rave about the food here, but it isn't all that by my taste. Might be my fault as i kept buying the sampler. It would be a great deal if you liked ground beef by the ton. My people that have had burritos really like them, but I'm not fond of that. The taco is filled to the brim with ground beef and a layer of cheese at the top. OK enough, but proportions could be better. BTW, I love hamburger! I really like this place. I wouldn't call it average at all considering its location. This is a a jewel in crown of otherwise, mediocre country cuisine. As for its authenticity. It's as authentic as any other Tex-Mex place. Mexican cuisine is very diverse. Tex Mex is just one of many forms of Mexican cuisine. The food is well done, there is plenty of it and the service is impeccable. We have been coming here just about every time we are in the Warsaw area. And, the place is always crowded because the food is very good. We will continue to support this establishment as it does a fine job. read more

We came here for lunch on a Monday. It was pretty busy, but service was still fast. Chips and salsa as soon as we sat down was great. They also have weekday lunch specials at good prices. I got the Number 5 - taco, burrito, and beans. It was good not great because the beef didn't have much flavor. A few of my coworkers got the Pollo Warsaw which they loved. We came from out of town and stopped to eat here on the way to the Lake of The Ozarks. I got a unpleasant surprise when I was ordering and a HUGE spider walked across my hand. I shook it off my hand and jumped up immediately. The waitress grabbed it with a napkin, however, I was so frazzled after this occurrence. Best Mexican food in Warsaw, fast service and good price, always open. I wish they had New Mexico style green chilli.

I have not tried the other Mexican restaurants in the area but I have had so great Mexican at Taquerias in Chicago and this was just as good if not better than some of them. I usually order the Chilaquiles and the wife gets the Chimichanga. The service is pretty good. You get free chips with salsa at the table. Prices are pretty good. I have had the carnitas and they were dry in my opinion. I would not recommend them based on my experience. That said we have been here four times and plan to return in the future. read more

Being from the coast we got spoiled by amazing Mexican food so it makes it hard to find places that live up to what we expect. This place is EQUAL to any of our favorite restaurants from California!!!! They call themselves Tex-mex but to me it is just plain great Mexican food! I had bean dip (amazing) and Carne Asada burrito (scrumptious)! I always judge a place by their Carne Asada and this one stacks up!!! If you come here you should really try this place!
