We arrived about 10 minutes before 5:00 p.m., and the place was already packed--impressive considering the restaurant has a large dining area. Even so, we were seated within a couple of minutes, which was a great start. For how busy it was, the service really stood out. It was quick, attentive, and well-managed throughout our visit. My wife ordered the vegetarian fajitas with a glass of Pinot Grigio, and I went with the chicken fajitas and a Corona. Our food arrived in about 10 minutes, which was surprisingly fast given the crowd. The complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful, and both fajita dishes were cooked perfectly and tasted great. Everything came out hot and well-prepared. Overall, I was genuinely impressed. On one of the busiest days of the year for a Mexican restaurant, both the food and service were on point. We'll definitely be back sooner rather than later.

We ordered frozen margarita which were really good but sweet. We ordered from the lunch menu which is smaller portions than the lunch but just enough food. The shredded chicken in my enchilada was bland but the shredded beef was good in my chimi. Their refried beans are runny which didn't bother me as it was still good. I would return if in in the area.

I love the market though pretty much anything you can ask for. Although i genuinely only come for the food which is again really good but ive been turned down so many times ill give it a few more chances before i give up. the energy is comforting if you enjoy the music i do, but from my experiences this far im hoping i just have bad luck and that these are kind people happy to serve all.

If you have specific spices for teas like I do, check out the wall of bag spices AND the selection of plastic containers (in another aisle). I feel bad for writing this because such a large store and the amount of work the employees spend on keeping it organized was impressive. Asking them to reorganize maybe the most "gringo" thing I could do, but I had to ask a customer and her daughter? tried to find the specific spice...they had to ask a worker that took me to the plastic container aisle. BUT- the major thing is that El Morelia offered the spice. Plus others that I wanted try! My other mistake was not visiting during the week and eating at the in store restaurant. On Saturday my bill was almost restaurant prices from a few years ago. During the week prices are more reasonable. The toppings bar completely changes the taste combination and value. Definitely "as-good-as-it-gets"! The employees were restocking bread container with fresh loaves with a sign stating "3 loaves for $2"... I grabbed 3 and just ate one- phenomenal! Not sure if it is sourdough, but it is definitely fresh and delicious! Mexican sodas variety would make Sam's Club jealous. Far more grocery selection than I ever imagined. The store is an old warehouse, but it is clean and well-stocked.

You can choose your sauce. I went with garlic. Absolutely delicious. The platter includes rice, garlic bread and some lettuce. My husband got a mixed seafood pasta in a creamy sauce with pineapple served in half a pineapple. Also a delightful dish. The restaurant is not what you would expect. It's gargantuan in size, like an event space. There is a big stage in one corner, a tiki style bar and murals of Mexican scenes on the walls. It is tucked in the back of an old shopping plaza next to a Hindu temple, and takes a little effort to find. Don't mistake the Mexican restaurant right on Natural Bridge at McKelvey for this one. For Marisco you need to get to the back of the plaza. We went on a Monday, and it was quiet, but I understand it's hopping on the weekends. We checked it out based on a good review in St Louis Magazine. Great food and great service. Also, note that there are some kids items - the usual chicken nuggets, cheese quesadilla, etc. Non-seafood items are limited. I saw steak and chicken fajitas, and I'm sure they would make you something with steak or chicken if you asked. But this is a place for fish lovers!

The next thing we noticed was how big (and clean) the restaurant is; has plenty of seatings and a wood dance floor in the middle, 4 TV at each corner and audio/speakers station close by (they have karaoke night and probably also accommodate family parties). Server was friendly and accommodating; we received our chips & salsa & water as soon as we sat down. **Tips: Add salsa to all. The red salsa is more spicy and green salsa is a bit sour and less spicy. I like to combine both to my tacos. Here's the food review (3.5 stars): - Tongue and cheek meat tacos: simple salt & pepper seasoning, but meat is soft and tender. It still have the street tacos flavor but a bit too much broth in the tacos. Add their salsas and a squeeze of lime and they're still good tacos. - Pastor taco: probably the best of the tacos we tried that night. Its flavor was just right, not too much seasoning and grilled just right. - Steak quesadilla: simple steak and cheese quesadilla; not our biggest fan. the steak pieces could be bigger and juicier, my husband wishes it'd have more steak in it. But for the price, it's not too bad. - Horchata: not the best we've had, a bit too milky and not enough rice & cinnamon flavor. - Chile relleno: delicious! my husband was craving and it's only available as an entree, but the server & chef made it possible for us to just order one! :)
