Talk about a trip to the grocery store! This place was a full experience! Bright colors and music blasting! It can be a sensory overload with sights, music, and smells. I suggest going on a Saturday or Sunday to try their in store buffet and taco bar as well as some samples and rotating vendors. The grocery store has fresh produce like tomatillos, plantains, sugar cane, yams, and peppers. In the back you can also get fresh made to order tortillas. The butcher selection is great but could be improved with other staples. The price per pound was excellent especially for chicken! The selection around the store is more focused on Mexican offerings but you can still find all your household staples across the aisles. There are items in english and Spanish if you are not fluent in either language. The restaurant is accessible for wheelchairs with a large parole lot and wide entrance. I did not see many automatic scooters to use, so ask a cashier if you need assistance. The music is very loud around the store so if that is a concern please plan your trip accordingly.

Tacos. CW from upper right: Trompo(Pastor), Chorizo, Chicken, Asada. All were wonderful.

This place is so amazing. It's like a trip to Mexico right here in the St.Louis area. I love unfiltered cultural experiences, and this one basically DEFINES that term. First of all, it's ENORMOUS! The selection of produce, meats, freshly made tortillas, and pre-packaged Mexican and Central/South-American groceries has to be seen to be believed. Then, you add in a full food bar/taco bar with seating to eat in-store, and absolutely blasting music from every corner of the store(on a Saturday) and you have a sensory overload that rivals any walk down the street in Jalisco, Tijuana, or anywhere else. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Please go there on a Saturday, have a taco or two, and shop the aisles full of things you've probably never seen before.

As a former Arizona-girlie, not having a Filibertos around is kind of a buzzkill. But, my husband saw this spot on Instagram and it brought us here. They got carne asada fries here!!! The fries are golden brown and crispy, but airy inside. The steak quality is great and seasoned nicely. The serving side is BIG so be ready to eat. They have a salsa bar on the side, so we got red and green salsa, some cilantro, and lime. We also ordered steak tacos - also very good! Love the true authenticity here!

My friend and I recently visited El Morelia Super Mercado and Rico's Tacos within there. He had not been in a while and I had not been ever so I was really pumped to see what it was about. I was told it would be loud with lively music throughout various aisles of the store, there would be a bakery, butcher and even a place where they make tortillas! We decided to eat first and shop last. While the line to Rico's was long, service was very efficient. The flavors of each agua fresca (fresh water) is designated by the sample fruit/ingredient laid in front of them. The server allowed us to sample as well. I sampled hibiscus and strawberry. While both were great, strawberry was AMAZING. I did not want to finish my drink and be sad so I definitely took my time consuming my drink. I ordered the quesabirria tacos which tasted so perfect. I am not sure what's traditional or not. I typically see onions and cilantro in the consume but did not see any in theirs which was fine because their salsa bar had pico de gallo so I just added some in there. My friend and I shared elote made with white corn. While the corn type was fine, the flavor profile was a bit salt and too spicy for my liking. He demolished the rest for the both of us. After being stuffed with food, we walked back to the front of the store, grabbed a rolling hand basket and basically went up and down each aisle. From avocados the size of grapefruits from the Dominican Republic to birria bombs and Mexican Coke, this place has literally EVERYTHING you need to make an authentic meal. I felt completely overwhelmed in a good way meaning the next time I visit, I will have a plan for meals so I can easily shop. The aisles are labeled overhead. They have a whole liquor aisle and even a pharmacy inside! I think I only made out with Mexican Coke, some cake from the panaderia and some other small items. I cannot wait to revisit!

The taco stand is inside of the grocery store. Yes, come for the food. Also, stop through and buy groceries. The fries in the picture are amazing and I have everyone eating them. The service is cool, the people in the restaurant and the grocery store are nice and helpful. Don't go expecting ambiance though. It's a grocery store. There is also a hot food bar that I have never tried. I drink the hibiscus Agua Fresca and it's delicious. I have tried to get them to tell me what else is in it. No luck. I bought hibiscus and can't get mine to taste the same. Either way, the food is delicious and the store is great for things you saw on vacation that you can pick up locally. The only thing I feel the restaurant needs is a margarita. It would be perfect then.

This Mexican grocery store/restaurant is one of my favorite places in North County, I often stop here to do some grocery shopping but more than that will stop for lunch. they have an excellent selection of tacos and burritos and they also have weekly specials that are a great deal that include food and a drink for $10, each day is a different entrée. The service is quick and they have a nice area with tables for you to sit and eat or you can get it to go.

This is definitely a place you need to try if you looking for Fresh Tacos, horchata, Agua Fresca, fresh pastries, and any of your grocery needs. It is fully stocked with fresh produce, seasonings, fresh seasoned meats, and more. I was recommended to come here by another Yelp Elite Squad member Steven B. During the welcome party back in January. He definitely hit the nail on the head with this one. I ordered carne asada and Carnitas tacos. Omg, the carnitas tacos were phenomenal. I got the mix carnitas (skin and all). The carnitas was tender, and well seasoned. The corn shells were soft. The carne asada was seasoned well, juicy and tender. There is a fresh cold bar with all of the toppings you need for your tacos. The fresh made salsas made the tacos even better. I also ordered a hibiscus agua fresca. It was sweet, but not too sweet, and oh so delicious. They have tables for you to enjoy your meal. I didn't get any pictures of my food, but believe me, they looked just as good as they tasted before i devoured them.

This was one heck of a supermarket! I saw this on social media and really wanted to go! First thing you see is the place is very well visited. All people from different walks of life were here, which was great to see. Upon entering you are greeted with the veggies section and the bulk bins where you can get all the dry things like beans and lentils in bulk! They were a great price and so I was really happy to stock up! Next that was the bakery section where they had tons of bread and pastries to pick! I picked up a few and all were super fresh and delicious! The meat counter was one of the most extensive I've seen in MO and they had a lot of marinated meats and other interesting cuts that aren't usually found in the normal supermarkets. The thing I thought was the coolest about this supermarket was the fresh tortilla making section where you could buy them freshly made! The other part I thought was great was the in-store restaurant where they were serving fresh made food! I got the horchata and a carne asada quesadilla! It was so good! The one main thing is that the restaurant isn't open everyday mostly only the Friday-Sunday.

As a yelp elite member, I always get asked about my favorite restaurants in St. Louis. I was struggling with coming up an answer because I needed to mentally compile all the good restaurants that I like. However, now I can give a quick answer to that question as El Morelia Super Mercado is that restaurant. This is a grocery store but their food court restaurant is so amazing. It has the best Birria tacos that I have ever had. I haven't tried too many Mexican restaurants in St Louis so don't take my word for it. However, the tacos here definitely taste just as good if not better than the ones I had in Texas or in Mexico. The only downside of this place is that they close too early around 7pm so timing is limited. However if you show up on the weekends, they have special items that are not offered on weekdays. In addition to the food court, I also like to shop at this grocery store. They have a wide variety of produce and household products which is very convenient. I can get my shopping done for the week while getting a good meal out of it. I highly recommend you guys checking this place out.

This is one of my favorite spots to grab tacos! The service is always good and fast. Especially love that while the food cooks I can shop through the store. The tacos are always amazing, the loaded carne asada fries and the California burrito. Make sure to grab the red and green sauce to go on top of the food. They also have a toppings bar which is usually well stacked as well for the food.

Krista R.

Had a great lunch time experience and meal. The food was super fresh and full of flavor. I was offered samples of the frescas flavors and ending up with the strawberry, it was very refreshing. The service was great, very easy to order. Loved the salsa bar, that really topped off the experience. Was a great vibe!

Perfect one stop shop for all your culinary needs. This place is a gold mine! They have food, drinks, local and international groceries. The store I believe is Hispanic owned, I'd assume, and has lots of cultural finds to offer. They have a huge parking lot and are handicapped accessible. I think they were originally across the street but moved for a bigger location. I ordered tacos and drinks. The clerks were nice and welcoming. Food was ready in about 5-10 minutes. Birria tacos had a heavy tomato base, now what I'm used to but wasn't bad. I really liked the shells. the chicken taco was flavored just needed vegetables (which I assumed came on chicken taco, so clarify that for yourself). I will definitely be back to explore and see what lovely things I may find! Recommended!

My friend and I spent about 3 hours in here the first time we went. There are so many exciting foods, and the ideas were flowing! There is also a taco joint inside with amazing food, including street tacos, carne asada fries, enchiladas, aguas frescas, and more. We shopped, ate, and then shopped some more. I highly recommend if you're looking for special ingredients or just a day adventuring around the city.

The burritos here are bomb and for $10 they are the size of a newborn child. It gets busy during lunch but definitely worth the wait.

As soon as I walked in, there was a one-man band playing guitar, freshly prepared food by the counter, and shelves filled with bakery items--it had such a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly. I decided to order some lumpia to go, and while they were preparing it, I took some time to browse the bakery and market section. I ended up grabbing several bag of chips and a slice of cake as well. The lumpia were perfectly crispy with great flavor, and the cake was incredibly moist. I know it's hard to compare restaurant food to home-cooked meals, and I wasn't expecting to be wowed. "Mid" would've been fine, but unfortunately, this fell below that for us. We ordered the menudo, chicken adobo, bangus, and lechon. Both the menudo and chicken adobo were noticeably sweet and not in a subtle way. The bangus only came as half with the combo (I'm not sure if that's standard), which was a bit disappointing since I'm used to getting a whole bangus. The lechon had a slightly off taste possibly from the oil used. I ended up cutting it up and putting it in the air fryer, which helped a bit, especially with Mang Tomas. My kids were excited for the ube bread, but there was barely any ube. Thankfully, I had ube jam at home to add more. That said, I'm still glad this restaurant is here representing the Filipino community. It's wonderful that they host gatherings and bring people together. I do think there's room for improvement, especially when it comes to showcasing Filipino food well for those who may be trying it for the first time.

It's located right next to Swagruha Indian Cuisine, off of Dorsett, just west of 270; they share a parking lot. Upon entering, I was greeted with a smile by the employee. The store is fairly large. There were multiple aisles filled with Indian groceries and a refrigerated section in the rear of the store. I located the snack aisle in the middle of the store and there they were! This Asian grocery store is mostly what you would expect of a small grocery store. When I say…read moresmall, it's of an average smallness. Bigger than a convenience mart, much smaller than a Schnuck's. This grocery store is nestled into a very nicely kept shopping plaza. I'm rating the East East Oriental grocery store 4 stars because it's well lit, decently organized and is reasonably easy to find the things you might need, as long as you know what you're wanting. With that said, I found the selection a bit limited and some prices higher than expected. I visited this grocery store to stock up on a few things to help me make Sushi rolls. I got the Nori sheets I wanted, the primary reason I went there. However, it was from a brand that I don't normally use. That's what I mean by limited. I actually prefer the Yamamoto brand, but they don't carry it. So, I guess I get to try a new brand. I also picked up pickled Daikon, miso paste, tofu, pickled ginger and dried seaweed (Wakame). I was hoping to find some dried tofu, but they don't have it. You can get dried tofu as part of some miso soup packet mixes, but I wasn't looking for that. I also didn't need Furikake, wasabi, rice or Kewpie mayo, but they do carry these. On the flip side, they do not carry the small jars of Huy Fong Vietnamese garlic chili sauce. They only carry the larger size. I prefer the smaller size, but only because it takes me a long while to get through even that sized jar. For powdered Wasabi, I only recall seeing relatively large bags at around $20. That sized bag would last me years. On the plus side, the store does have a decent amount of dinnerware including ceramic bowls. If you're looking for larger sized bowls for Pho or Ramen, they do carry these. They also have a reasonably good selection of various Asian brand canned meat and fish. They also have a smallish section of fresh produce. As for prices, they are often on the higher than expected side. 100 sheet package of seaweed is around $25. That's actually a decent price all things considered. That makes it $2.50 for 10 sheets or $12.50 for 50 sheets. This 100 sheet package is way cheaper than buying 10 sheet packages. Furikake is around $4.50 or so, just a tad pricey. Keep in mind these are 2025 prices. Your mileage may vary. If you're looking for something specific like a sauce, there's a decent chance they'll have it here. Overall, I would definitely shop here again when I'm running low on Sushi fixings. Though, at 15 miles distance from home, it's a bit of a trek.
