Veggie Chimi no cheese or sour cream
    Shirley D.

My husband I go to this location often. This is by far the best Chimi's Fresh-Mex in St Louis. The quality of the food here is exceptional and it always tastes so fresh. This visit my husband got the shredded beef chimichanga and I got the veggie chimichanga with no cheese or sour cream. These are our usual favorites Chimi's come with rice, beans, quac and all the fixings. Complimentary chips and salsa. The staff is always friendly. The food comes out super fast. And, the atmosphere is very family friendly. It can get a little loud. But, that's part of the whole fun experience

This place has a small parking lot next to the restaurant. However depend on if you are going at a busy time or not there may not be parking spot at the parking lot. Me and my boyfriend and one kid went here today and the parking lot was full. There are side street or parking at main Street if available where you can park which was what we did. I got passion fruit margarita, it has quite a lot of alcohol content in it. I also got the taco salad bowl. Like most Mexican restaurants, the chip and salsa are free. We ordered the Queso dip with it and it was great. My kid love to order burger and fries at a Mexican place, not sure why, however I forgot to take a picture of her food. my boyfriend had beer and grand chimichanga plate with both chicken and steak. Service was decent. If you need more napkins, water then just ask and the waitress did bring it.

First time to Chimi's and it was good. I always try the beef fajitas on my first visit to a Mexican restaurant. It came with beans, rice; guacamole, pico de gallo, green and red bell peppers and onions. Most of the beef was tender and juicy. The meat didn't have the limey taste or enough spice to elevate the taste to a 5 star level. Our server provided us excellent service. I like the brightness of all the colors in the dining area. I will be back to try other items including their margaritas.

Was taking to a table as soon as I walked in and greeted. They brought the fresh chips and salsa shortly after I sat down, they are always great. Today I tried the Chicken and Shrimp fajitas, like everything I have tried here it was very good, and came out quickly. Great place to go to for Mexican when in the area.

Absolute best chips and salsa I've ever had... it was addicting. Salsa seemed very fresh. Great service and great interior design. Table was a little too sticky for my taste but food and experience was excellent. Props for presentation. Not from this area, just visiting, but absolutely would go again and recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious Mexican meal near St. Louis. Margarita: 4/5 should have had more salt on the rim and shaken before served; wasn't very cold. Ordered a medium and was very big, would recommend. Beef Chimi: 4/5 portion was excellent, opted for double side of rice instead of rice + beans and was disappointed at the quality of the rice, it could have used more flavor. Still, I've never met a rice dish I didn't like and this was no exception. Ratio of avocado salad to the chimichanga I thought was good. (You can always use the excess salad as a nacho for the chips!) D'élixir Chimi: 4/5 cheese was really good but meat was kind of dry/lacking something. Liked everything that came with it. Quesadilla: 5/5 Guac was fantastic. Liked that it was pulled chicken and not cubed. Good use of cheese, held together very well. Fish Tacos: 5/5 really liked the sauce on the side! Hawaiin Fajita: 5/5 loved it. Melted all together and was delicious. This is the "special" and absolutely would recommend.

I was not expecting much. But this was great. The portions were huge and it was very tasty. You could tell it was quality ingredients with a lot of flavor. This was more than enough for me at a pretty good price. The atmosphere wasn't bad either. I found myself staring at some of the art for awhile. Lots of detail in a very a wacky painting. I do not get out to St. Louis often, but next time I do, I will definitely return tot this place.

I had eaten a big lunch, so I ordered a couple of sides, Poblano Rajas and Half-Smashed Black Beans no cotija. For the table, my daughter's ordered the Classic Queso, and Chips & Salsa Two-Ways. The Queso was good but those salsas? They were really great. The red was smokey, which I love and not a lot of places do, and the green was a spicy pineapple, I think, it was so good! There was a Handmade Limeade ordered and it was so refreshing! I enjoyed the sides I ordered; I tasted the Al Pastor Empanadas, delicious and more so with that green salsa - sweet and spicy! Great spot I am glad we tried. Would love to return for a pitcher of margaritas when I am not driving!

It did have numerous umbrellas and a covered portion which kept most of the seating shaded. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was good. I was a little disappointed with the bread used for the Torta. I was expecting a bolillo type bread where it the outside is a crisp crust but the inside is airy, chewy and sweet. Instead it was a Telera Bread that was like a very crumbly messy french roll. The pieces of chicken were very thin and cut into strips instead of one patty. It was very dry and not much flavor. The fries were potato-y but not seasoned or salty. Very bland. The aroma of all the food was phenomenal.
