Once I saw two 5 star reviews I headed over. First, let's talk about the name! Ktrachitos isn't only addicting to say (once you get it right), it's likened to Boriqua for Puerto Ricans but for Hondurans. This was my first time trying Honduran food and it exceeded my expectations! I got the arepa revuelta, carne asada, and the biggest mug of passion fruit juice I've ever seen. The Arepa was slightly burnt, but that's exactly how I like them. The texture was smooth and they didn't skimp on any of the beans, cheese, or chicharron inside. The carne asada was PERFECT. The steak was cooked well, lightly seasoned, and paired perfectly with everything on the plate. There was so much included from green bananas, rice, avocado, sausage, and cheese. I couldn't finish it and packed the rest to go. It was perfect the next morning. It's a laid back spot. There are Honduran flags through the restaurant, cute plants, and twinkling lights which were cute. I recommend attending with someone who speaks Spanish if you do not. My Spanish is rusty but I was still able to chat with my server a bit. I'm looking forward to trying their breakfast, but I'm a big fan already!

Their menu is large with salads, soups, enchiladas, tacos, burritos and more. My friend got an order of three tacos off their specials menu. They featured jack cheese, skirted steak, guacamole with corn and cilantro. I got two pork belly tacos with red onion and cilantro. These tacos are super fresh, flavorful and filling! Granted my friend's order was a lot more filling, I was also happy with my smaller portion. I appreciate them, since they are primarily a take out spot, they still served us in proper dishware, none of that disposable nonsense. We also received complimentary chips and salsa. The only complaint I have is that their drink machine was down. They have some very tasty Mexican drinks for sale, but they are very sweet. The Calabrian peppers packed manageable heat. I'm not sure everybody is going to see CM's sandwiches like I did. Many people are used to CT Style Giant Grinders with many levels of meats, toppings and condiments in a huge grinder roll for around $10. CM's sandwich had thin, but impactful, layers of each ingredient. Some people will see the CM sandwich, at $9.95, and note that it's maybe 1/8th of "the stuff" of a Giant Grinder. Mind you, CM is not going for that. They care more about the quality of the ingredients. I'm sure after reading this paragraph, you already know how you're going to feel about Calabria Mia.
