I really enjoyed the Carolina sauce. Bonus: They have more sauces at the table. So I added a touch more of Carolina. The slaw on the sandwich was fantastic too. The mac n' cheese was awesome! Nice and creamy with a smokey note. Definitely try that for a side! Corn bread was good! Always a nice touch when eating BBQ. Inside of the restaurant is nice. There's a lot of cool rock memorabilia along with a screen that rotates pictures of some really cool older cars. Service was excellent; very friendly and my food came out quickly. You order at the counter, grab a seat and they bring your food out when it's ready. Drinks are in a cooler near the area where you order. Our dog was initially hesitant, but I explained to him there was a big difference between him and the dog served by Marty so he relaxed and enjoyed his visit. My wife sent me with detailed instructions to order a pair of "Stan's" hot dogs that featured Martin Rosol's hot dogs, grilled rolls, an abundance of Stan's relish and mustard. While I patiently waited for the food to be prepared, the aforementioned pair accompanying me took up temporary residence at one of the shaded picnic tables. Once again the food was cooked to order and came with both napkins and a smile. Yeah for Marty and his (I presume) bubbly wife.

On today's lunch visit I ordered a chorizo taco, carne asada taco, and two al pastor tacos with pineapple, plus a chicken quesadilla and a fresh Jamaica juice. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The al pastor with pineapple was especially good; the perfect balance of savory and sweet. The restaurant had a nice vibe when I went. It was around noon and there were people enjoying food and drinks at the bar while others were dining. The place was busy but still calm, with light music playing in the background. Another thing I always notice when I visit restaurants is cleanliness, especially the bathrooms. The restroom here was very clean and smelled fresh. You can also see into the kitchen area from the dining space, which I love because you can watch them cooking and preparing everything. Friendly staff, great service, and consistently good food. I've been coming here for years and it's still one of my favorite spots for authentic tacos.

I was dying to try their red hots and one of their stuffed burgers. I opted for the French onion burger and it was heavenly. The onions were perfectly cooked and you could taste the essence of a French onion soup. The burger was juicy and nicely cooked. The red hot was EXACTLY what I wanted. It has been so hard to find these and I was beyond delighted to get my hands on one. It was perfectly grilled with a nice snap in every bite. The perfect amount of spicy and I ended up tearing through two with ease. I'm going to try to get to their restaurant in north haven for sure in the future.
