Been to this place twice and Im already in love.The joint is clean and very spacious. The rice pupusas are to die for. Not many place in LA offer this. I also love the fact that you guys carry my favorite sweet bread. The service is fantastic but the best part is that they open very early in the morning. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and got seated immediately, we ordered pupusas and a pan de pollo oh and a chicken tamal . It's about 45 mins and we just got our pupusas mind you it's not busy ten mins later we get the pan de pollo . 15 mins later we're done with our food and we still didn't get out tamal, we had to hunt down the waitress to just pay and for get about the tamal the wait time for food is ridiculous and the food isn't even good I ordered a queso and frijol pupusas and it was 80 % frijoles I'm good on this place won't be setting a foot back in here read more

Was visiting Commerce and was looking to try a neighborhood spot that served Latin food. I am so happy I came across this wonderful place. It's clean, comfortable and welcoming. Eva C. was my food guide, she was so happy to show me the dishes and explained everything is home made including the chips and salsa which she made herself. They were great! The varieties of Pepusa will make anyone happy. I had a chicken dish which was perfect! I will go again and again whenever I am in the area. We went around 7pm on a weekday and there wasn't any customers. For us being the only ones there, service was terrible. Food was not that great. I got the bistec dish and it was too fatty and too acidic from the tomato sauce. Some parts of the rice was undercooked. By far my favorite place to have Salvadorian food. Pupusas (I've had every kind, I love them all) and platanos fritos are amazing. Atol de elote is seriously on point. I love everything from here. Staff is always so nice and helpful. Parking kind of sucks since its right across the street from a bar, but I've never had an issue finding parking. I come here all the time. It's a must try. AND! I just found out that they can host parties there. There's an awesome section with a dance floor and a gorgeous outside patio. read more

Im mexican but Ive tried several pupusa places & this one has been the best one! Their pupusas are obviously made to order so thats a cery good thing but also at other places they are full of grease to where they leave you with heartburn! not at this place!!! Hole in the wall sort of in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of commerce. The staff is quite good, with Freddy leading the charge. Their carne Asana is quite delectable as is the chicken that comes w the soup. I enjoyed the pupusas but my favorite thing may have been the desert empanadas which are full of cream and plantains. The coffee is also surprisingly good! Plantains here were fantastic too. Had a party here that went off seamlessly! I really enjoy this place. read more

It is so difficult to find restaurants in the Commerce area where I work. My co worker and I have never been here and saw that they serve pupusas so we had to give it a try! Mind you not, the inside of the restaurant was definitely enjoyable and pleasantly surprising with the neighborhood it is stuck with. Loved it! I stumbled upon this place over the fourth of July weekend as I escaped the masses of the Citadel. The location is on an industrial/commercial setting. And by commercial I don't mean like on a shopping type of block, but rather where there are production and manufacturing businesses. The outside of the restaurant is also not much to look at. But don't get me wrong- this is not a hole in the wall place on a bad street, nor is it falling down or anything like that. It's just plain. The inside is nothing extraordinary and looks quite average- like your typical Latin restaurant. BUT as soon as I saw the menu I was intrigued! There was quite a variety of dishes as well as aguas frescas. Stuff I only remember from my childhood. I regret not taking a picture of the menu- you should totally google it and see for your self. I settled on your traditional Bistec Encebollado for $11.95 (steak with onions, beans, rice, sm salad, and plain pupusas). Presentation was standard, but again, the food...The steak was so savory and the flavor amazing and authentic. The agua fresca was equally delicious. The service was poor! I ordered at 1145 and at 1220 I noticed other people who came after me were being served before me. I had to ask for the food to go because I had to be back from lunch at 1230. I received my to go lunch at 1235. I wish I could tell you how good my 1 pupusa was, but I couldn't enjoy it because I had to scarf it down in my car as I was rushing back to work. I never got complimentary chips and salsa like others did. Never again will I come here nor will I recommend this place to my coworkers! read more

Great place to eat, Pupusa prices are pretty much the same as all the restaurants. $2 and a little more for the rice version. The drinks are good and they give you this spicy salsa and chips for free, it was too spicy for me so I only had a little bit. We also got the steak and onions that came with an egg so maybe that was a breakfast thing. It was ok, theres parking right next to the place, just look for the signs, I been here a few times the first time I didn't see the parking so I parked on the street, but the owner told us theres parking on the side. Owners really nice, he kept checking up on our drinks and making sure we had enough to eat. We will be back for more read more

The food was ok. I have had tastier pupusas. Service was incredibly slow. There only seemed to be one cook and most tables were occupied. Take out orders we're going faster than dine in orders.
