My favorite Salvadorean spot so far and I've been to a few! let me warn you, the outside and the area is not attractive but you are in another world once you walk through their doors. Nice restaurant and clean inside! the customer service is awesome and the food is great! hard to find a place that makes you feel welcomed and that offers great food. I didn't know such a good pupusa place was nearby my home! I'm definitely going to keep coming back here. They have pupusas made from rice and from corn flour. Both are delicious but I prefer the corn (and it's a bit cheaper). The wait for the pupusas is a little long but definitely worth it considering that they're fresh and handmade. I'd also like to recommend the horchata. Believe the hype from the previous reviews, it's too damn good! It tastes delicious with a hint of pinole. This place doesn't disappoint! read more

My number 1 location for pupusas besides my moms house!! The staff is very nice here always fast service. I also call in my order and they take payment over the phone. By far the best Salvadorian food I've ever tasted. The service here is also outstanding. And is the first place to have cafe con Leche that I know of in California! I've only seen this in the east coast like in Florida. The place is a located in a commercial area, and it looks at bit deceiving, but it's very beautiful in the inside. They don't have a parking structure, which can be a problem in busy days, but nevertheless completely worth it! If you looking for authentic , delicious Salvadorian food. This restaurant is what you call a diamond in the rough! From the outside you might question the quality of the food but as soon as you step foot thru the door you know you found a gem. I work down the street and go here quite often with co workers and business lunches. Once inside the place is clean nice simple decor and i was even surprised at house nice the restroom looks. 1st of all it looks run down from the outside.... and its location is a little ackwards. But Dont judge a book by its cover. Its super clean and and best of all they have ac full blast keeping it cool unlike other places. The revueltas de arroz (rice flour) where a good size and delicious ,full of flavor. The second item i tasted was the yucca con chicharron it was a good size portion and the everthing was perfectly fried. I will definitely be a usaul here. I am comparing this place to other salvadorean places and this place jumped to the top of the list. Only complaint i had was there is no fountain drinks, only bottles and cans. read more

To start, I've been here several times and the food is always good. I've never had an issue with my order. My biggest complain about this place is every single time I've been here, the service is extremely slow. And it seems like they have their favorite customers and pay more attention to them. Today I think was the last straw, my bf & 3 tables, that had gotten there way after us, received their food way before me. After getting the food, we never heard back from the waiter and we just got up to pay. Honestly don't think they would have noticed if we left without paying. I'm not a person that really complains about being greeted at the door or not, but the service is way too slow it's ridiculous. Was excited to try this place. I called ahead and ordered 8 pupusas. They said it would take 25-30 mins. That sounded perfect. We showed up 25 mins later, but we didn't receive our food until an hour after we had called. I understand being understaffed but she shouldn't have charged us if our food wasn't ready and we would have gone elsewhere if they had just been honest. This review is way over due just for the simple fact that I am a regular here already lol. Is pretty much a hidden spot the food is pretty good more like a home taste feeling ! This is usually my spot for breakfast ! Plates are very decent in size and pupusas are pretty big as well! The staff super friendly and simply humble nice people never have I gotten attitude their attention towards their customers is great they make you feel welcomed ! I been coming to this restaurant for over 10 yrs , I work around the area, so I know to call my order before I go because It's always packed and they cook to order , meaning it's fresh but they take a long time. The food is undoubtedly delicious!! The cashier/waiter is so friendly and very nice looking, just thought I mention that , the entire staff is friendly and very attentive. I only eat pupusas and platanitos con crema because they are delicious!!! They are a little more expensive than your bargain pupusas but you won't regret it!! their coffee is amazing! I am not a coffee drinker but this coffee is so good!!! Summer, Winter or fall I drink this coffee!!! I gave it 4 stars because NO Refills on the drinks and the wait. Sometimes even if I call ahead it takes time. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going. Just warning you, so you take your patience with you! The food is worth it! This is Salvadoran food so it's not the Mexican Horchata ok, just so you know. They always have the soccer games on, not a fan BUT, this means there are ALWAYS men around in case you're looking for a fanatic. Just saying. Came here while hunting for a delicious salvadorian tamale. I want really impressed with theirs it was a little too soggy but the pupusas were off the hook.
