    Taco for the combo plate
    Michelle J.

Four of us dined today. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice little place. Staff were super friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Chips and salsa were not free. I got an order and the salsa was a bit spicy with a little sweetness. I didn't care too much for the salsa. I found myself putting a lot of salt to drown the sweetness. I was hoping to order something big to have leftovers for the week. I ordered the combo plate and substituted a relleno for the chimichanga. I got half green and half red salsa on the relleno. I had been craving a relleno for weeks and was hoping it was going to be good. The taco shells are not fried. They are headed in the grill until they get crispy, which I like because that's how I do it at home. I didn't care for the flavor of the ground beef but overall it was ok. The enchilada and relleno both came with the bandera sauce (I think that's what it was called) mix of red and green sauce. I was hoping it was only going to be in the relleno . I didn't care for either sauce and tried to eat around it. The green sauce was a bit too spicy which drowned the flavor of everything else. I didn't try the beans or a sopapilla. Now, the rice. I'm not sure what to think. It looked like a Chef Boyardee canned pasta product and tasted like pasta sauce. I could not eat it. We all felt the same about the rice and the green sauce. Most of us enjoyed what we ordered. My colleagues ordered desert and they all loved it.

Fantastic authentic New Mexican food. Friendly service, delicious homemade everything. Don't know if you want red or green sauce? They'll bring you a sample. The pillowy Sopapillas are fantastic drizzled with honey. Yum!

Where the Locals go!! Stopped in for lunch and wasnt disappointed. The food was good but the service was what really made our expierence good. Our waitress was awesome and I'll be back because of her. She made me feel as if I was in her kitchen!

Half Larry's special with Larry's green chile. No cheese, wheat toast, and a coffee.

For breakfast I ordered the half Larry's special and it did not disappoint. Sauce was incredible and spicy. I even came back for lunch and had the (delicious) chimichanga plate. Service was great and always kept my coffee cup full.

Tucked away near downtown Grants Former Tiendita front I saw that it's now Gabby's Caf Breakfast was my want. River Park across the street early in the day had geese and ducks and walking dogs they wanted me to stay. Gabby's called I could not wait and so I walked away. "Your early sir." said smiling Tam, "The cook is on his way." "Restroom please." "It's down the hall and to the left. waiting for your stay." Music Country, art the same - it's rural N.M. here my friend, horses, cows and lambs. Star of The West brought the list. She shined her light, she spoke her words she made my morning bright. What rhymes with Huevos Rancheros? Farmer Brothers coffee and a tall cold glass of H2O. The beans were swell, the eggs were fine, green chile sauce was gentle on my mind. And into prose I wind. Gabby's Cafe is the in-town Mom of Gabby's Diner in Milan. You can get dinner there if you're on time. Gabby's Cafe has a marvelous pine floor, callung out for Saturday night music and dancing.

I didn't get her name, but she was just the nicest person ever! The reviews raved about the burgers so we decided to try them. My husband had the double cheeseburger, and I tried the Bourbon Feta and grilled onion burger. First, they used quality beef, hand-formed snd smashed, so I love the texture of the patties and the way they were cooked. Buns were buttered and toasted on the grill lightly. Fries were decent. The only downside was that I could not taste the bourbon on my burger, but the feta and onions were on point. We also tried the strawberry lemonade - perfect - not too sweet. It was nice to watch the service team interact, and how they hustled. They do a lively to-go business as well. Great place to stay.
