Tucked away near downtown Grants Former Tiendita front I saw that it's now Gabby's Caf Breakfast was my want. River Park across the street early in the day had geese and ducks and walking dogs they wanted me to stay. Gabby's called I could not wait and so I walked away. "Your early sir." said smiling Tam, "The cook is on his way." "Restroom please." "It's down the hall and to the left. waiting for your stay." Music Country, art the same - it's rural N.M. here my friend, horses, cows and lambs. Star of The West brought the list. She shined her light, she spoke her words she made my morning bright. What rhymes with Huevos Rancheros? Farmer Brothers coffee and a tall cold glass of H2O. The beans were swell, the eggs were fine, green chile sauce was gentle on my mind. And into prose I wind. Gabby's Cafe is the in-town Mom of Gabby's Diner in Milan. You can get dinner there if you're on time. Gabby's Cafe has a marvelous pine floor, callung out for Saturday night music and dancing.

I didn't get her name, but she was just the nicest person ever! The reviews raved about the burgers so we decided to try them. My husband had the double cheeseburger, and I tried the Bourbon Feta and grilled onion burger. First, they used quality beef, hand-formed snd smashed, so I love the texture of the patties and the way they were cooked. Buns were buttered and toasted on the grill lightly. Fries were decent. The only downside was that I could not taste the bourbon on my burger, but the feta and onions were on point. We also tried the strawberry lemonade - perfect - not too sweet. It was nice to watch the service team interact, and how they hustled. They do a lively to-go business as well. Great place to stay.

A Dairy Queen, gift store, fireworks store and gas station. I had a chili cheese dog meal with medium fries and a drink. I wanted a small chocolate shake and the server offered to substitute my drink for that which I appreciated. He had a quarter pound cheeseburger meal with cheese curds. The food was average. Not all the cheese was melted on my chili dog and the dog itself tasted like it had been sitting there for a while. The restrooms in the store were not bad considering the amount of traffic it seemed to have. There were lots of cool metal decor and signage in the gift area. And unique items I haven't seen before. American Indian attire, souvenir tshirts, moccasins and other Knick knacks. There was a convenience store for snacks and drinks as well. And three packed shelving units of fireworks. Something for everyone. The service was polite and the store clean. The DQ area could have been cleaner but it appeared as if they couldn't keep up even with the many people working behind the counter. Some customers were angry that the Coke dispenser had no coke syrup mixed in. But for us it was a nice break at an interesting store.

It's unique from the other buffets in town by having a build your own and cooked fresh then brought to you approach. I liked the flavor of the grill the food had, I went back for seconds to try a little bit of everything! It didn't disappoint. I even was able to take home leftovers! The service was super friendly, kind, and helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was clean, quaint, and quiet. I'd recommend stopping in if you have the chance!

First don't call that your restaurant if you don't have a "teppan", (flat griddle), and a cook to cook right in front of you. That's the whole purpose of a teppanyaki restaurant. And she also got onion rings, fried shrimp and some kind of meat potstickers. They were over-fried. It was pitiful and so disappointing.. It was very minimal and not fresh. I felt like they took advantage of my mother. I wish she knew to look before taking it but she was tired and didn't know better. She paid $40 and some change. That included a $5 tip. So it was $35. Bad experience. I didn't really like the other Chinese buffet in town either, but I would rather have that place than this New China Gate or 66 Teppanyaki place, whichever it's called. And I tried to call to tell them about our food but their phone numbers don't work. And we live too far go back to tell them about our experience.
