Food was great but slow slow service. It was not busy, they were just putting out maybe one order every 5 minutes. Truck had 3-4 people working inside and still took over 20 minutes to get my order of 3 tacos. (Asada, Al Pasto & Suadero) . Other people waiting also commented to the staff about this. There is another vendor in the same lot that sells beer and micheladas. There's at least something to do while you wait for the slow service to get your food out. The beer was only $5, don't know how much they charge for the michelada. Like I said, food was really good so I'd give them another try. Hopefully it was just an off night. read more

I don't normally leave reviews unless I've had a genuinely disappointing experience, and unfortunately, this was one of those times. Primeramente, estoy embarazada y tenía antojo de un burrito de aquí, so I was really looking forward to my meal. Our order took about 20 minutes to prepare, which I didn't mind too much. However, my husband and I were sharing the burrito, and because he is allergic to onions, I specifically asked for no onions. When we received the burrito, we split it in half. My husband took a bite and immediately noticed and tasted onion. I went back inside and politely explained the situation and asked if they could please remake the burrito. As I was walking back to my car, they called me back. Instead of remaking it, the employee tried to hand me the same burrito and told me, "There is no onion in here." I explained that we had both seen and tasted the onion. Another employee who was cooking then joined the conversation and insisted that she had not put any onion in it. At that point, I felt like they were more focused on proving that they were right than addressing a legitimate allergy concern and providing good customer service. I wasn't interested in arguing, especially over something that could have been easily resolved by simply remaking the order, so I asked for a refund, which they provided. I never accused the lady of physically putting onion in the burrito maybe it was an accident ? Maybe there was a piece of onion in the cheese ? Who knows what went wrong. I genuinely enjoy the food here, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Mistakes happen, and I completely understand that. My issue was not simply that onion ended up in the burrito--it was how the situation was handled after I brought it to their attention, especially when a food allergy was involved. Unfortunately, while I love the food, I can't say the same about the customer service I experienced today. An allergy is a great concern which is super alarming ! Just keep that in mind next time someone doesn't want a specific ingredient inside their food. This could've led us to the hospital but I'm glad it didn't because we caught it. read more

Taco Tuesday at El Bombero is always a good idea! Today we noticed carne asada wasn't one of the options for the $2 tacos, but there were several other meats to choose from, andeach one we tried was really good. The tacos were still stuffed with plenty of meat and toppings and definitely worth the $2. One observation, though: the tacos did seem a little smaller than they were on previous visits. Not a complaint because they're still a great deal, just something noticed. Also grabbed the house-made chips and guacamole while waiting, and that was the perfect little appetizer. What took me so long to try this truck!!! I've seen them on TikTok and IG and even saved it in my "I want" folder. We decided to swing by on a Tuesday to partake in their Taco Tuesday $2 tacos!!! Lots of meats to choose from but we ordered suadero, al pastor and chicharron tacos. We were so pleased with our order. Al pastor and suadero were well seasoned. The chicharron was crispy and everything you want in a chicharron! These look like really small tacos but they were so filled with meat that after your 3rd taco you're tapping out. Did I mention the tortillas are handmade. Parking is scarce so try to time your visit around what would be peak times. We got there by 5:15 and there were only 3 people ahead of us. By 5:30 there was a long line. There are a few wooden picnic tables to be able to "dine-in." They have a serve yourself salsa bar and both red and green are delicious! They also had a michelada stand which we did not partake in THIS time. We shall next time! Because we will be back for sure! read more

"Oh my God! They have fried onions? This from my son who got the Carne Asada burrito. I got the Birria is perfect. It's a little hot. I appreciate that the beans are whole and not refried Actually, he's now starting to get a lot of heat right in the middle of the burrito. My friend and I came on the 5th (Cinco de Mayo) for their $1 taco deal. I love beef so I got 4 beef (asada) and 1 pork (pastor). I usually don't get pork or chicken because I feel like majority of the places I've tried are pretty dry. The line was really long and it took us about 2 hours to get our food and get out. I would definitely come back in the future because the pork was really flavorful and juicy. It wasn't dry at all. Beef was very close to being dry, but the sauces saved it. First, get there a little early or just park near the park and walk because its hella crowded in the area. TJ tacos are unique in that they add guacamole sauce. They also wrap the tacos. You'd think there would be less meat, but it's the opposite. It's a bit odd that they make you pay extra for consomé, as that should be fairly standard for a birria taco, but whatever. Was at The Plant doing some Christmas shopping and running errands in the area when I spotted this truck. There wasn't anyone in line when I ordered, but after I got my food a lot of people started coming. I got an asada and pastór taco. I didn't know what TJ style was, but glad I do now because I the guac was pretty good. The carne asada was flavorful, but the meat was on the tougher side. Still super good though. I didn't care for the pastor because it was sweet, but the seasoning was on point with a barbecue flavor and I can see why people would like the pastor here.
