    "Famous" Grande quesadilla
    Teresa M.

Ambiance, great. Small down feel, nice servers and staff. Watched the bartender make the margaritas and it was pure booze. The flour chips and salsa were bad. The cheese dip tasted like thick burnt cheese. I am guessing everything is smothered here. I ordered a grande quesadilla and you couldn't tell that's what it was. Same for the burrito. Everything is just a soggy mess. The shredded beef inside the "quesadilla" was good but I would never come back here. I think people go here just because they have been going for years and years, not for the food.

If you want a strongggggg margarita, El Bee's is the place to go. Most of the food is some combination of meat, tortilla, and a crap ton of cheese and sauce on top, but they still get five stars for the margs. Also, I know it's a Mexican restaurant, but they do have the BEST chicken strips, waffles fries, and ranch.

Service and atmosphere, and margaritas were awesome! ..however we haven't been in awhile, and it totally was a disappointment! The tacos were so greasy, couldn't eat them ( they didn't offer me anything else, or apologize when I left them either) .. meat was so blah, it wasn't Mexican at all .. plain ground beef .... Taco Bell has more spice ! ? won't be back, and if you go.. stick to the margs, and chips ( they were good !)

Beef tacos. No flavor and just sad.

Trash. I went after work because of reviews and tbh this is white ppl Mexican food. Waterloo folks need to go to south Omaha for real Mexican food. If you are desperate and really really hungry I guess you can go here. Idk how this place gets good reviews, I was totally disappointed. After taking a couple bites, I then made myself 2 scrambled eggs. Well there goes 89 dollars I'll never see again. El bees you suck and your cook should be ashamed

This nasty mess was made by elby's said it was a burrito don't waste your money or just go pick up some roadkill

Awesome food and near perfect service. You can always expect a great meal. Margaritas are phenomenal and the best around.

We arrived at around 1:45 on a Sunday, so it looked like they had been busy but were clearing out by the time we arrived. There was an outdoor patio, an indoor heated patio, and an indoor seating area. I definitely want to come back this summer to sit outdoors with an icy margarita. The indoor patio was heated and a few people were sitting outside but we opted for indoors. The decor was beautiful, I loved all the bright colors, the movie posters, the big and small plants, and the colorful paper banners. I ordered a lime margarita, blended with salt, and my husband ordered the same but on the rocks. We both agreed the margarita was too sweet, I'd probably opt for a different drink next time. We got chips and salsa to start and could choose between corn, flour, or a mix of chips. I liked the corn chips best, they were fresh and minimally salty. The salsa was so good! Not too spicy, and it came with an avocado salsa which was also fresh and had chunks of onion. I ordered a shrimp taco and had the choice of corn or flour tortilla and soft, hard, or fried shell. I opted for the fried flour shell. I also ordered a pork tamal, which came with mole on the side. I really enjoyed both things I ordered, and loved the addition of the mole sauce! My husband and I both agreed we'd come back, which is always a good sign. The only bummer was each taco and the tamales were $5-6 a piece, which ended up being a pricey lunch.

Super chill patio vibes. Our server was super kind and outgoing. The carne asada was incredible!…read moreWould recommend to anyone.

It's super cute inside, with so many bright colors, neat Día de los Muertos murals along the walls, colorful pendants strung on top of the dining area, and a very cool bar with a patterned, arched shelves. Even the dishes and cups are fabulous, with earthenware mugs, blue Talavera style dishes and bowls, and even branded El Milagro margarita glasses. Now more importantly, the FOOD is just as good as the decor and the dishware. They use extra high quality ingredients, and everything is always served hot and fresh. We have had the birria, nachos, street tacos, flautas, and so many other things when we branch out and try something new. Their drink options are also great, with strong margaritas, crisp cervesas, and tasty cocktails. The service is always fantastic, and they are always hopping with customers, so you know you found a good spot. Best of all, you get pretty large portions, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg like some of the newer Mexican restaurants in town. Next time you're thinking about heading to the Texas Roadhouse area, skip the Roadhouse and try El Milagro instead! I guarantee you will not regret your decision.

When we walked in it seemed like our server was the only one there working - drinks took a while to arrive and didn't come as pictured on the passport but were still good. I got the Barria taco meal and never received my rice that went along with it, ended up being fine I was full but could have taken for leftovers. Plenty of tables and cute decor. Overall, the food was the star of the show and our waiter got the job done with our large party it was just slower service than I was hoping for an early off peak meal. Worth it to come in expecting slow service to get a good meal imo!
