I got two of the yummy special shrimp tacos and they were HUGE!! I could barely finish one, which was a bummer because I just wanted to keep eating since they tasted so AMAZING!! Vegan Mexican food in Oakdale!…read more Cocina Michoacana in Oakdale is not only a restaurant I repeatedly visit but also a spot I regularly recommend. In 2018 they added a dedicated "Vegan & Vegetarian Menu" alongside their traditional menu. Regardless of how many times I come back, I have to order the taquitos and I cannot stress enough that you HAVE to order the vegan bean dip appetizer. Whether you go standard or skillet style, both are delicious, and you won't miss a thing! Visit my blog at Yourneighborhoodvegan.com and on social media @yourneighborhoodvegan for more! Cocina Michoacana is also home to the "Mega Margarita," a 32-ounce frozen margarita available in several flavors. They often run happy hours and drink specials, making it a great place to stop for after-work drinks and shareable apps. They also have a dog-friendly patio that is shaded and perfect for group dining.

It started when we got our food and asked for 5 additional styrofoam plates. They told that they don't give out extra plates. Probably less than $0.10 worth of plates is all I was asking for after spending close to $50 on food and was told no. It confused me as to why a business would value $0.10 (or less) worth of supplies so highly over customer satisfaction at this stage. It was so important to that it stood out as a negative interaction with this business that I'm now documenting in this Yelp review. Give them the pickle! The food I ordered was for 5 people and all of them gave this place a thumbs down. The cheese smelled moldy and the chicken didn't taste right. We trashed the entire meal and went across town to get way better Mexican food for exactly the same price. So if you're in Escalon and you want good Mexican food, go elsewhere.
