I was craving $1 tacos, they weren't a $1, they have gone up to $2 each, still cheap. Love the handmade corn tortillas. The meat they use is $2 taco quality, so don't have high expectations. Service was friendly. Plenty of parking. No line, wait time was only a few minutes for food. read more

Decent tacos. Clean truck. Nice workers although not the most personable experience when speaking through a dark screen but that's just how it is at a taco truck/trailer. Price is a little high compared to other trucks in the area. $35 for three of us. We each had three tacos and a drink. The drinks alone were like $10. They also have a small covered seating area for those not taking them to go. read more

Does not look too good, little trailer in the back of the lot, ordered a few different tacos. Took a few minutes to get it. I am sure it was because they needed to grill the meat and veggies. We took our food out to a winery for a tasting. Sure glad we did, it was excellent! And there hot salsa is very good! read more

I've had good food here in the past but I had the worst experience here as of my most recent trip. This isn't the first time my food has been blundered either. I ordered a tripas taco and it barely had any meat at all plus the meat was burnt. I PAID $3 FOR THIS TACO. The picture doesn't do it justice as this was one of their premium hand made tortilla tacos. They also forgot to include garnishing on the plate. I usually get jalapeños and salsa on the side but this time they gave me one measly slice of lime. The woman who took my order was also sassy and not very friendly. I don't think I'll ever come back here again. I am disappointed being that this used to be one of my favorite spots in town. read more

Made to order taco's that range from $1.25 -$1.50! They have all the basic meats like asada, pastor, Barbados, shrimp, carnitas, and chorizo! The more exotics ones are tripe and tongue. I went with shrimp, chicken, and tripe! They cover it with guacamole salsa and onions! Yum! It also comes with this super hot chilli pepper! What a kick! Flies buzzing around and the screen door to the truck open where they prepare the food. Would not come here again. There are picnic tables under shade. All outdoor seating. Prices are reasonable but not worth getting sick over it. Service is slow. The truck is parked in the back of the parking lot of a Mexican market. read more

Tacos Del Sol is by far my favorite taco truck/trailer ever. I have been going their for a very long time and it's consistently delicious every time. They make your food correct and in a timely manner. I'd heard that the tacos and burritos at the 'taco truck' by Motel 6 were really good. So on the way to Yosemite last week we spotted the little truck in the back of the parking lot of a market. Now I can't tell you the name because we only cared about the truck. If any of you know of the market that sells 'Queso Fresco 2 X $6.00' then you'll know which one I'm talking about. Gettin' back to my tacos. We went through all the delicious flavors: Carne Asada, Carnitas, and Shredded Beef. Each one was topped with onions, radishes, meat, and a HOT jalapeno! Too bad they were out of shrimp at 1:00PM. BOO! At $1.50 each it is quite a steal since each one has the freshest meats and sauces on top of two corn tortillas. Top it off with some REAL Coca Cola; yeah you know the kind with real sugar. So for about ten bucks we both left full! There are picnic tables you can sit at to enjoy your meal under some nice shade listening to some tunes. I think I have my new Mexican food fix . No more playing Intestinal Roulette. Next time I'll try the burritos or combo plate. read more

In the past this was my favorite taco truck to go to for their yummy al pastor on homemade tortillas, I'm sad to say this is no longer true. Today I ordered 3 tacos and they have lost their delicious charm. Not only were the tortillas completely different then they were in the recent past; lacking their thickness, fullness, and fluffiness but also it was the greasiest al pastor I've ever had. The grease was pouring out of the bottom of my tacos pooling onto my plate, even more-so than the picture depicts. Also different from past experiences they didn't give me any jalapeños or salsa with my tacos. Overall I had a very bad experience this time around. I'm giving two stars only because in the past I've had good experiences and I may give them one more chance in the future, if this was my first time ordering from here it would have been 1 star. read more

This is I think the only taco truck in Oakdale... I LOVE this place! I'd drive to Oakdale just to get taco truck from here in a heart beat! They only accept cash, however they have a store in the same lot where you can go inside and pay with card. It's very convenient Parking is spacious its next to a trailer home park and there's always people outside. Food quality is a 10!!!! read more

When Im driving out to Yosemite, and onward, I love to stop at Tacos Del Sol in Oakdale. Its hot out, I need a break by then, and it's next to an equally nice Mexican Supermarket. The market has great mangos in Chile-Salt, a larger variety of drinks to complement your tacos. We figured if they have a complete meat counter in the market 5 ft away, their meat is probably pretty good too. Oh, the Taco truck! I LOVE their tacos- carne asada with a few cooked onions, a slice of avocado, and some salsa on the side. YUM They cooks are super friendly too. They actually recognized us from previous stops. If you love a good taco truck, this place is great. read more

torta was good. toasted with a creamy dressing. included lettuce, tomatoes and avocado with your choice of meat. tacos on the other hand were the meat was little over cooked for all 5 tacos i had. so it was a tad dry. maybe extra salsa wouldve helped. the hand rolled tortillas fell apart from just handling. read more

Twice I have gone to this location first time we couldn't order much because they apparently ran out of everything. Went back tonight ordered hamburgers and tacos we were told can't have hamburgers they shut the grill down so we went ahead with the taco orders waiting 20 at the drive through while listening to the workers screaming and cussing and chasing each other. Finally get our food head home all the food was cold and the street tacos were not just cold but the tortillas we stiff I mean like they were giving us old dried out good. Disgusted. NEVER again! read more

Oh My Gosh... this is the best, I mean the best taco trucks you can get. My family always stops here on our way to Yosemite. And, whenever I am in Oakdale, I stop by here to get tacos and others. It's not ground beef, their carne asada looks to be real carne asada. It's really hot when they serve the foods so you know it's fresh. read more

I love the food every time I eat from there, it's really amazing with great quality and outstanding, literally outstanding taste. The portion served for the price is great, and I really enjoy that there are always caramelized onions, raddish, a lime and a chile pepper to go along with the already flavorful meal. The combination plates are awesome with homemade tortillas, and the sopes are bomb, packed and stacked with a ton of good stuff. It's truly a treat to eat at Tacos Del Sol. read more

I paid extra to have sour cream and cheese added to the tacos, and the super quesadilla was also supposed to include sour cream. None of the items had sour cream, and the tacos were missing the cheese that I was charged for. If customers are paying for additional items, they should receive them. While I understand that mistakes can happen, this is not the first disappointing experience I've had. On a previous visit, I placed my order before several other customers, but because they appeared to know the staff, their orders were made before mine. I chose not to say anything at the time, but combined with this latest experience, it's become difficult to overlook. I've been coming here for years, and it's disappointing to see the quality of both the service and attention to detail decline. Looking forward to a meal only to receive an incomplete order is frustrating, especially when you're charged for items that weren't included. In today's economy, every dollar matters, and customers shouldn't have to pay for products they never receive. I'm not looking for excuses--I simply expect to receive what I paid for and to be treated fairly as a customer. I hope you'll address these issues so future customers don't have the same experience.

Delicious locally made Gouda cheese!…read more We were driving by and caught a glimpse of a sign for a cheese factory but we didn't see it until we passed it. So, we turned around and then, even though looking for it now, we passed it again. This time, after turning around once more, we saw it in time to turn into the driveway. -- They need a more visible sign... Outside, there is a picnic area by a pond and covered porch. There are picnic tables to eat what you will purchase in the store. Inside there is a store with cheese for sale, along with samples so that you can taste the cheese. There are many varieties that are made here. Most are forms of Gouda (pronounced khow-da (with a guttural H sound as the first syllable)). We really enjoyed the Gouda with Fenugreek ($8.47 for a wedge). They can also make a grilled cheese sandwich ($4.50) and a cup of soup ($4.00). We got several kinds of their delicious cheese and consumed it over the next many days of our trip. We live in Los Gatos and were delighted to learn that they sell their cheese at the Sunday Farmers' Market in Mountain View. So after returning home, we phoned them a few days before a Sunday with our order to pick up at the Mountain View Farmers' Market . The advance order is advisable since at the market it is first-come-first-served and you favorites may sell out before you get to their booth. When we got to the Farmers' Market around noon and picked up our order, we were told that it was good that we pre-ordered since several of the cheeses we ordered were already sold out (except for our reserved order).

That said, one of the employees wasn't very welcoming during our visit. I asked a simple question about the price of one of the cheeses, and her response came across as dismissive, as if I was asking a stupid question. It was disappointing because everyone else and the overall atmosphere of the place are usually so warm and friendly. I still enjoy coming here and will continue to visit, but I hope customer interactions can be a little more positive and welcoming in the future.
