Steak quesadilla.. I guess these are homemade tortillas that are griddled on a flat top. Was definitely different than I've had previously. The jury is still out...the chimichanga we also had could have been more crispy, was more like a slightly fried burrito. The rice and beans are by far more flavorful than most IMO. Service was good... wife chose this place instead of grabbing some burgers at Wally's.. I tried to tell her.. we came from Belleville to grab some Ski from Excel bottling.. read more

Always great service and great food, The whole staff treats you like family. They also have the best margaritas.

Order was incorrect, food was bland and the pineapple tasted like burger grease the only good thing was the mid chicken and the nice staff read more

This is actually one of my favorite places to eat. The staff is friendly, the food is good, and the margaritas? Well, I recommend the pitcher! Ha. The Burrito California lasts me all week, and the Beef Chimi, Enchiladas Suizas, and the Taquitos are my favorites. Always a crowd, and still always served quickly! read more

Frigging delicious! Thought I was in for a disappointment finding the only restaurant in town to be a Mexican joint in the middle of the country, but boy was I wrong! I highly recommend the jalisco special! read more

Tonight was our fourth or fifth time here. The food is always hot and fresh. I have tried different things each time and they have all been good. Tonight was a shrimp and chorizo quesadilla and polo felize. Both were delicious! Their margaritas were good too! read more

Shrimp chimichanga was a good choice. Shrimp cooked to perfection. Pico de gallo was also very good, healthy bite but not overwhelming the food. As usual good service and food. read more

El Arado - Shrimp chimichanga. Definitely a good choice. Pico de gallo not overly spicy, good bite but still taste food. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. - Mexican Near Me - Breese, Illinois

Wish i could give no stars... went here friday night for dinner.. music to loud, asked waiter if the chili relano was spicy,he said absolutely not so i i orderd. (Ive had them before and knew they are a tad spicy) one bite of this and my mouth was on fire for over 5 minutes....this was inedible...even the person i was dining with who loves spicy could not stomach this... been here numerous times and again the inability to speak fluent english may be affecting this restaurant and the relationship with the customers and their wants. Definitely wont go back.. theres plenty of other Mexican restaurants.. read more

El Arado - Mexican Near Me - Breese, Illinois

Food is amazing! Service is stellar. Love it here. The place is big, you will never feel overcrowded.

Poor service, good (not great) food, extremely LOUD! But it's really the only Mexican in Breese, so what are you gonna do? I highly recommend the chicken and shrimp skillet plate, forget what it's called. Seriously though, total amateurs when it comes to service. This is based on at least 6 visits. They are all very nice, though. There is a much better Mexican restaraunt in Highland called Don Ole. read more

Overall descent tex-mex cuisine. The environment is slightly on the loud side, but the wait staff is generally responsive. I enjoy the margaritas, but the food is average to the taste. read more

Mediocre flavorless fajitas. No cap on the sauce on the table which looks horrible. Salt and dirt all over windowsills. Bathroom dirty. The fajitas had zero flavor and were cooked with the shittiest tomato I've EVER been served. Greenish pink with stem and core included. Blech!! If you like bland food then this is the place for you. Not worth the money or the time or the drive. read more

Good fast Mexican food. Plenty of choices to make everyone happy. Reasonable prices. It is good for the whole family and won't break the bank. read more

El Arado - Strawberry margarita - Mexican Near Me - Breese, Illinois

Great place in Breese on the way back from Lake Carlyle. The chips and salsa were good. The guacamole was fresh. I had the grilled chicken salad. It was more than I could eat and took half of it home. The chicken was moist and it had grilled mushrooms. Many times, Mexican restaurants use too much salt but not here. It was top notch. read more

Besides chavas in eville, this is our favorite Mexican for sure!! Good, quick, fun & mmmmargaritas are always yummy!!

Just moved to the country after living in St. Louis for 10 years. El Arado definitely made the move a little easier. Top notch Mexican and the place is huge inside. I was nervous when the parking lot was full that we were going to be cramped inside. The place was busy but had plenty of room for 16 of us. The food was fast, hot, and the staff was amazing. I can't quite bring myself to give it 5 stars just because of the location but it would be a standout in any neighborhood. read more

This is by far the worst Mexican food I've ever had. First I ordered a taco salad with guacamole and they had no guacamole so then I chose the chicken Sausa's. I took two bites and it was just watery chicken no flavor whatsoever so after I was able to get the waiters attention, I asked him to take it back I did not like it. The waiter asked if I wanted something else and I said no my husband is done eating. Then they brought us the bill with both meals one of which was not good or eaten. Will not be back. We rv around this area and will not recommend this to anyone. read more

This place is probably the best Mexican I've had!! Tacos are amazing!! My order is usually high maintenance and they get it right every time!! Love this place!! read more

This is the best mexican in the region. The food is great and comes out fast. The grilled chicken salad was great. The burrito dish with one chicken and one steak burrito is outstanding. Comes with queso over the top...delicious. The place is always packed Thursday through Saturday. They are a good lunch spot as well. I highly recommend! read more

Wife and I ordered the same meal. Server asked if it was 2 orders and we said yes. Brought 1 meal and never did bring mine. Server was kind enough to all if everything was alright even though I never got food. told him it was the best meal I never got. They were happy to give me a bill for my beer and my wife's dinner. read more

Yuck!! Tastes like microwaved Mexican food. Don't come here for your own good. Service is not good.. Defiantly not worth the terrible food

This was the worst Mexican food we ever had but the server never knew it because he never returned. Everything tasted like they dumped salt on it. Finally had to go up to the register to get the check. No one seelmed to care so we just paid and will NEVER go back. read more
