The food was really good and the service was really good too. I'm excited to go back and try other menu items.

The restaurant had an update a little while back, and the atmosphere is nice. We travel through Centralia often, and this used to be one of our favorite places to go, but we probably won't go back soon. The service the last few times wasn't great, and the food quality varies a lot. For Takeaway they add extra fees that aren't disclosed prior to ordering, and then food portions are about 50% of the restaurant plate at full dine-in price. The last time we tried takeaway was on our way home the week of Valentine's. Even though they were slow when we ordered, we waited over 20m when we got there to pick it up, and the person ringing us up told us twice there's a tip line. We both got the Arroz con Pollo, and it came with chips and salsa, but the salsa container was less than half full and didn't go very far. The dinners came in very small aluminum to-go trays that were maybe 6x10". They had about 1/2" of rice across the bottom and mine had 7 small chicken strips. My husbands had a couple more strips. I can never finish the dish when we dine in, but ate the to go easily. My husband ate his and then started raiding the fridge for something else to eat. Usually we'd eat there every couple weeks, but after Valentine's, we took a little break and dined in again a couple weeks ago. I got the pineapple chicken fajitas, which were fresh, perfectly cooked and really excellent with a generous portion. My husband got the paella, but the meat was really stringy and tough, and the rice was very dry with almost no cheese sauce. The cheese sauce that was there was a weird dark brown, didn't taste good, and made him uncomfortable. When he asked the server about fixing it, he kept shrugging like he didn't understand, then said "kitchen is closed, that is all" and walked away, even though it was only a few minutes after 9, and they were open for almost another hour. (He does speak excellent English, we heard him with other tables.) After that, we sat with empty cups and didn't see him again until he handed us our bill. Over the years we've been pretty happy eating there, and had the occasional hiccup like a forgotten drink or our order getting lost in the kitchen on a busy night, but those things were rare, the staff took care of them quickly, and the food was good. The food here was great. I was in town for work. Very high-quality Mexican restaurant. I had the Molcajete and it was as good as I've ever had before. Chips and salsa were nice and fresh. The service was very good. Food was very reasonably priced, I would return! read more

Food is good for your typical neighborhood Mexican restaurant, prices have gotten higher since the renovation. Service is normally a 65% good, 35% fair, I have to say it does look and feels better inside, yet not enough to raise prices and discontinue a portion of their menu. $$$ 3 out of 4 dollars read more

The food was pretty good, but the service was not amazing. I went here with a few coworkers. Right off, we could tell the waiter was not overly friendly. A minor request for straws was met with some slight annoyance. When the food came, one person received a chili rellano instead of the tamale they ordered. He took it back and subbed it out, but was not apologetic in any way. Overall, the food wasn't amazing, but pretty good. I had the paella, which was a bunch of meat and sautéed veggies over rice and cheese. It was tasty, but the beef was sliced extremely thin. The salsa has a bit of a kick here. That said, it was a good consistency. The chips were fairly average. Overall it was a pretty average place. read more

They serve an awesome meal. It's pretty filling with leftovers. The service is quick as well.

Hands down the best Mexican restaurant around. Little tip they are always packed so don't be surprised when you may have to wait a few minutes for a seat. Food is just plain amazing. We went in for lunch today ,and this is the Tequilas closest to the railroad tracks,we ordered the chicken fajitas nachos with extra chicken and a side of beans and rice this was the best meal that they have done for us not that's it's really ever bad but my hats off on this one read more

This place usually serves up good food but I recently was greatly let down by the service and food. This has been a reliable spot for good food for many years but the quality has gone down hill big time since my last visit. You won't have many options in Centralia so they kind of have the market on lock down but they really should step their game up and deliver a better product. The service was lacking from the hostess not knowing how to handle an overcrowded lobby to the servers being very rude to the guests. I only wish another mexican resturant would come in and show them how to do things the right way. read more

The Blue Margherita is the best I've ever had! !!! And so are their salsa and chips!!! I just came to the bar while I waited for a train,but I will eat here when I get back on Sunday! The best part of Tequilas are the memories of years gone by. I used to come here quite frequently, it was a great place to eat, and their enchiladas were superb. The decor is what you find in your typical Mexican restaurant (murals on the walls, pictures of cacti, and a general feeling of the Southwest). However their food has been on a steady decline the last few years. Their portions keep getting smaller, the menus keep getting more complex, and the food is mediocre at best. Provided you get what you actually ordered, and I only say that because the last two times I've visited my order has been messed up. There's a possibility this is a result from Tequilas being the only Mexican joint in town for the longest time. Not counting Taco Bell...but who really counts Taco Bell as Mexican food? Anyways, a new Mexican place has opened shop nearby, so now there are options. Hopefully the competition will prompt Tequilas into getting back to its original greatness. read more

I'm glad that I didn't look at all of the negative reviews before I went into Tequila (Not Tequilas). I've tried a lot of Mexican/American restaurants but this one was by far the best I've had yet. I'm not talking about authentic Mexican food or street food. That totally fits in a different category. However, the tamales and Chile Relleno at Tequila were excellent. The food came out hot and fresh.The salsa was a little on the spicy side but it was adequate. I've had better salsa but everyone has their preference on an ideal flavor, texture and consistency. I thought the decor was pretty traditional in that atmosphere. I liked the hand painted decoration on the walls. The waiter was very attentive and actually made sure that we were doing ok. I needed a drink refill after eating some of the hot salsa and he came back to the table right away. There were a lot of people in there for Friday before 5. I was just passing through but I would definitely recommend it to others. read more

Paella for 8.99 is a steal and taste great .. I was only here for work and I can honestly say it's probably the only thing in this entire town I look forward to... three best things shrimp chicken and beef throw that on top of some cheese covered rice that's a winner every time... I got enough food to feed three people... The salsa on the other hand just taste like puréed spaghetti sauce not even worth eating . Would I go back for the Paella ???? The food was very bland. Service was ok. We ordered some frozen alcoholic drinks and they had big chunks of ice in them instead of being smooth and had way too much alcohol. Not sure if we were there on an unusual night or not, but probably wont be going back. read more
